He was born in Casablanca and he greeted my in moroccan dialect. He left from Casablanca Israel when he was a child. Swapped Casablanca to a desertvillage. He left israel once he was 18 and travelled the world. I'm glad that I met him and other moroccan Israelis in india. We were playing darbuka with some Lebanese guys as well....in india we are just people....hopefully we can just be people everywhere

MegaMayday16 I am Jewish and my father’s mother’s family perished in the Nazi Holocaust but not all places were anti-Jewish with Morocco being a cradle for Jewish culture. I find Portugal, Morocco, and India to be places where Jews have been most treated as “people” as you say. I love Moroccan dialect and it’s enriching history appreciates Jewish diversity and even some of our craze. Morocco understood my ancestors in a meaningful way.

@@ESponge2000 Well except for during the Inquisition which albeit was primarily in Spain but definitely effected the Jews of Portugal as well culminating in horrible kidnappings of Jewish children and the expulsion of the Jews or forcible conversion. But Morocco for the most part was definitely very hospitable and the King had the doors of the Mellah locked at night primarily for the safety of the Jewish community which were finally left open once the French took control.

It is true they suffer a lot in Israel.but they come back strongers & back to their culture. . they left more than any passing civilisation thnx God time has barriers any time they la chance they just drop back to the roots . They dance a lot cry some no any original Moroccan can forget his mother land easily
Keep the good job guardians of the Hispanic Morrish culture proud of any one of you .God bless us & our lovely land 🇲🇦🇨🇦

Morocco is the only arab country where all citizens of different religious beliefs live in harmony like brothers.
The king of Morocco is the political head of state as well as the spiritual leader (Amir al Mouminin or Guide of the believers) Jews, Moslems, and Christians are the people of the book, Ahl al kitab, the believers.

They lived in harmony because it is a Berber country. But now the Arab mindset is occupying the country where the Berbers themselves are opressed

@ahioud "Andalusian revival", What are you talking about? Andalous was not about music and orchestras and having fun and all that!!. Andalous was about coexistance, Peace, Science, Philosophy, religion etc...
Andalous is about The Ideal Society. They showed us how to live all under one roof, but in different rooms.
So the Andalusian revival, I believe it when I see it. Right now All I see is a bunch of powerful people playing God in his own backyard.

Bullshit. Moroccan Jews did not know why they were going to Israel. Most of them got disappointed because they were promised to live in regions similar to areas they have left behind, but instead were settled in the desert where they were treated poorly because they were Sephardic Jews
