Le Mans 1953: Impressions of a Great Race is a promotional film produced by Jaguar Cars Ltd, located in the Coventry suburb of Whitley. Jaguar entered 4 C-Type cars in that years race. Also called the Jaguar XK120-C, the "C" designation stood for "competition".
In 1953 the most significant change to the cars was the introduction of 4 wheel disc brakes, an innovation that would change the automotive industry world wide.
The 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans took place on June 13 and 14 1953. It was the third round of the World Sportscar Championship. This was a series organized by the FIA from 1953 to 1992.
