Have a lot of pleasant memories of the Carle Place store. In the days before the latest announcement, online was 15% off entire inventory, even on sale items. The day the news hit, the 15% off disappeared and only a very few items were on sale and no blowout pricing. Makes no sense. Sounds like corporate brought in a liquidator firm to sell off inventory. This is how they operate.
Sad to see stores closing...I owned a video "Videoparadise" store 1984-2004 and when video stores started closing in 2000 it was a bad sign of the times ...unfortunately it didn't stop at video stores. Remember "VHS"?--lol $600 for that Takamine--good deal. I have a Takamine, great pre amp.
Kind of sad to see that. Great video though everyone seemed cool. Bummed me out when the guy working the counter was clearly pissed about the store. You gotta wonder if a big box store is going under can a mom and pop make it in today’s world.
They couldn’t see the future and they got greedy going after Guitar Center who would not have opened a store in NY if ash didn’t open that first Cali store. Worked for both companies back in the day.
Great video, gonna miss Sam Ash
Yeah me too
That piano crash was the sound of Sam Ash closing. Also, you did a perfect rendition of that tune that dude was playing with your mouth.👍
Hahaha. Those kids were a trip!
I have a cascade of tears falling in my face! Why? I want to Sam Ash come back again! 😂💦🎸
You and me both!

I wonder how all of this new discounted merch is going to affect the used market and places like Reverb. Etc

Ashes to Ashes Dust to Dust in the wind, Dang man.

I know and I instantly felt bad asking him such a blunt question. Didn’t realize
Yo I see you have a purchase..
Nahhh … they didn’t have anything I needed
Sam Ash really cant even run the liquidation sale. The deals aren't there.
I noticed that. I was expecting a deal but not so much
This sucks... we used to live in that place...
I know. Just a sign of the changing world.
Sam Ash deserves to have ALL stores close, their business model is 20 yrs past it's use-by date, the stores are nasty, dirty and antiquated.
It has deff been in decline I’ll give you that. They should have taken a page out of Sweetwaters book years ago.

you shouldn't chew gum and talk on camera. it's gross.
Good point. It’s funny I did notice it in the editing and it bugged me. But it was a spontaneous vid so it is what it is. Lesson learned
