There was a mistake in the video, that was the Chicago bound Texas Eagle Amtrak train number 22, I rode on the Texas Eagle 5 times, I rode it to San Antonio in the thru coach to Los Angeles on 8/30/2010 after I helped my youngest son move from Loser City Tucson,AZ to Dallas,TX, I also rode it to Dallas in the thru coach from Los Angeles I boarded in Tucson on 8/25-26/2011 when I went to visit my son who moved to Irving,TX & on 9/2-3/2011 back to Tucson, and I rode in to Dallas on 10/4-5/2012 from Chicago, and on 10/8/2012. I ride on Amtrak trains when I travel long distance.

Actually, I was riding this train from Chicago when this was shot and I can definitively say that this is train #21 bound for San Antonio.

Fred I agree with you, you're right. Dallas Union Station is a great place to train watch.

+Vegas_Jay Cool!! Great minds think alike, I live in Miami, but I have some business in Waco and plan to spend a night in Dallas. Unfortunately, I won't have time to take The Eagle. Last summer my wife and I rode The Empire Builder from Seattle to Chicago with a four day stop in Glacier Park. It was a fantastic trip with a great crew.

At least, they saved it. There was no romance for Atlanta's two downtown stations; Union Station, (L&N, Georgia Railroad)on Forsythe St., and Terminal Station ( Southern Ry., Central of Ga., Atlanta & West Point, Seaboard Coast Line)at Spring St. Terminal was an architectural masterpiece, designed by P. Thornton Mayer. Both were razed by 1972.
