I got this when i played cod4 but at the beginning it works fine but someday this error appears. I try both ways but no one works
it says that a later version of directx is already on the computer but when I go back on the game it says Mss32.DLL still needs installing.

im facing dill errors during the installation of photoshop..i installed the dill..but it again showing that the dill is missing..
not work after that processs another error the procedure entry point all set stream volume@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library msss32.dil.
Not sure if this will help, but when I click The App's shortcut in desktop, it does the error about mss32.dll But when I click the App exactly at file folder of the game, I get no problems.

you can try downloading windows 8.1 its a great OS for games as it includes all of the dlls you need as if you were using windows 7 or windows 10 you would have less dll files and less games will work like call of duty and gta vice city i reinstalled windows 8.1 and this fixed it if you do not understand how to install windows 8.1 here is a tutorial link but you need a USB and windows wouldn't be activated i had a lot of trouble with this when you are in the windows 8.1 download screen you must press shitft + f10 to open cmd then write diskpart) list disk) then select the disk where windows is installed like windows 10 or 7 and write select disk 0 then do the setup the same way as if you bought a new computer and have fun Link th-cam.com/video/Gk_O8BE53DI/w-d-xo.html
