He was hospitalized but then Soo-ho was left alone for his birthday and he realised that he had slept. Then Soo-ho got worried for Si-eun. Soo-ho went to school but Si-eun wasn't there. When Soo-ho was on the roof he overheard bullies talking about Si-eun and getting worried that he had died because Soo-ho wasn't there last night to save him so they don't get caught. Then Soo-ho beat them up and asked them what have they done. Then Soo-ho went to see Si-eun after he was realised from the hospital. Si-eun tried to hide his broken arm but Soo-ho knew already. He went to get revenge on the bullies so the champion and him met at the gym so they began to fight. It was 1v1. But then bullies cheated and flipped him. So that champion came and hit his head. Then Oh Bum-seok came and began to kick his head repeatedly.Then when he stopped he realised that Soo-ho wasn't breathing. He eventually burst in tears and his agent took him back home. Si-eun went on brutual mode and he went to other bullies to get revenge. He went to Young-bin (The bully that hates Si-eun and beat him up) and stabbed him with a pen in the shoulder. He also hit his head in his table 10 times. Then he went for the champion that was fighting him. He broke his hand and his foot with a barbell and he also hit his head with a barbell so his eye closed. Then he got a fire extinguisher with bloody clothes and he went to hit the bullies with the extinguisher. The students got scared after he did that. Then he also punched a window to take his anger out and screamed so loud that i felt that. The principals made sure that nobody will know about that incident that happend. It was so sad because Si-eun was the saddest and depressed character in the show. He was bullied with no friends until Soo-ho came. Then Si-eun also got moved in another school that was worse then a bully bullied him but he gave him the death stare and held his pen like he was gonna kill him. It's honestly devastating to watch the trio fell apart. You can tell that when Bum Seok seeked help from Soo Ho that he was just someone who is really worried and probably didn't want someone to go through the same thing he did (?). Soo Ho never really cared whether he had friends or not but came to cherish Si eun and Bum Seok. The same goes to Si Eun. All three of them cherished each other. But Bum Seok let his thoughts get to him and it was absolutely heartbreaking to see someone change like that just because of mere assumptions. His aggressiveness , his actions are all defense mechanism because he thinks Soo Ho looks down on him bc that is what he had been through his entire life. I think if he were even to communicate properly to Soo Ho and Si Eun, it wouldn't have ended well because till the end, he only listened to himself and not others. He needs proper mental help fr. But I'm so amazed at the level of understanding that Si Eun has towards Bum Seok that he let go of him SO MANY TIMES :((( But it's more heartbreaking when you know that friendships do get broken up like this :((
Yeah, totally agree with you that Beomseok got his thought run rampant. Sad thing is, I think constant violence by his family and formal school messed up his trust and mental system. I guess, victims of long term violence need therapy to heal their mentality back to their normal. I am not saying they are crazy. It's saddening how violence f*cks up victims sensibilities. Victims were subjected to violence illogically. Scums just whimsically punch; for any random reasons. And so victims kinda look out for signals of offender. Even trivial ones as not following back on instagram could be a sign of dislike that can escalate quickly. Another thing is, Suho is similar in shape and ability to Beomseok's offenders. Suho is fit and a fighter. Beomseok is subconsciously trying push him off to see whether Suho would really hit him or not. Whether or not, he will turn offender or not. Whether or not, he will cross that line. He doesn't test Sieun because he saw Sieun got bullied and quickly empathized with him as someone like himself. But Suho is different just by a glance. The real sad thing is, Beomseok himself may know that Suho actually considers him as a friend and will not hit him but his experience as long term victim encourages him to test Suho. Because if he's wrong about this, it's dire problem and something he has no power to stop when it starts. He initiates testing and even sabotages their relationship first to feel like in control.

Nothing he went through justify what he did to Soo Ho. Defense mechanism? What is there to defend? Soo Ho was very much unbothered. He is just a coward he was surrounded and befriended the same people who bullied him but he just to attack Soo Ho who openly defended him and fought for him just because he thought he looks down on him, That's not a reason thats a weak weak excuse.

It's actually the backstory that explain why Si Eun is that way. The original webtoon starts where this first season ended at the new school. So yeah, we need more of the story because like you said, it's just the beginning.

Bumseok became the son of b*tch because he was jealous of Soo Ho as a friend, not love. Between three of them, Sieun and Bumseok are awkward with each other and Soo Ho is the one who melts the atmosphere. Well, bumseok is amazed and proud to have a famous and cool friend like Soo Ho who is very welcome to him, you know that bumseok was not accepted by family or friends at old school, so when he got a good friend, he became over to shoo ho. I also feel the same if had famous friends I just want to be close to him/her, because it's just so cool for me. That's why when they hang out to eat and karaoke together, there was Young Yi. So, bumseok felt that he was being pushed aside from the genk and felt "lonely" and felt that he was not considered in his genk. Moreover, young yi is also an easy person and an ice breaker same as soo ho, so bumseok feels they looks crowded without him. That's it, Bumseok has followed Soo Ho's ig but hasn't been followed back by him. Even though young Yi, who just met has been followed and posted a photo together three of them (yi, soo ho, sieun, without bumseok). Even though I'm sure Young Yi snatched Soo Ho's cellphone first. So, bumseok feels that he is not considered and just used by Soo Ho, that's when he starts to turn into the b*tch.

So clearly, LOL Bumseok has a crush on SuHo; he's getting jealous of Young Yi because he's scared that Suho and her will become a couple. Remember the scene when Bumseok called Young Yi out and asked her if she and Suho had been dating? He could not stand that Suho was going to date any girl because he had a big crush on Suho. Another key scene is when Bumseok was having fun and drinking in the bar with the bullies, and those bullies wanted to find a girl for Bumseok to hook up with, and then Bumseok opened Suho's Instagram (the implication being that Bumseok is interested in Suho, not girls) and then unfollowed Suho, and then he forced himself to drink and flirt with a girl; he wanted to erase his love for Suho and pretend like he liked girls. Only love could lead to him becoming a devil, and with a crazy person like that, jealousy of friendship will never hit that hard.
They really had such a strong bond that the entire series was them trying to stand up to bullies and save each other. Sieun and Suho could understand each other perfectly but they kept secrets in order to protect one another (which always resulted in one of them being beaten after putting up a hell of a fight) If anyone hasn't watched it please do but know it's not for the faint of Heart, shows like this with bullying make me cry. As an American, we do have stuff like this along with school s****tings, so I can imagine also I've been bullied in school, not this bad but still. This series will make you cry and pissed off to the point of feeling the same way Sieun and Suho did .
I just wish they never made friends with the 3rd guy. He was so weak and projected his issues onto them even when they just wanted to be friends with him

Everyone wanted suho but suho's no1 is sieun forever. That girl and bumseok and all were just side characters but what bond main leads sieun suho shared is like you above whole world.
I didn't expect the drama version to be much more painful to watch. In the manhwa they just put it as a backstory and doesn't have so much details so it's not as painful.

Bumseok became the son of b*tch because he was jealous of Soo Ho as a friend, not love. Between three of them, Sieun and Bumseok are awkward with each other and Soo Ho is the one who melts the atmosphere. Well, bumseok is amazed and proud to have a famous and cool friend like Soo Ho who is very welcome to him, you know that bumseok was not accepted by family or friends at old school, so when he got a good friend, he became over to shoo ho. I also feel the same if had famous friends I just want to be close to him/her, because it's just so cool for me.
That's why when they hang out to eat and karaoke together, there was Young Yi. So, bumseok felt that he was being pushed aside from the genk and felt "lonely" and felt that he was not considered in his genk. Moreover, young yi is also an easy person and an ice breaker same as soo ho, so bumseok feels they looks crowded without him.
That's it, Bumseok has followed Soo Ho's ig but hasn't been followed back by him. Even though young Yi, who just met has been followed and posted a photo together three of them (yi, soo ho, sieun, without bumseok). Even though I'm sure Young Yi snatched Soo Ho's cellphone first. So, bumseok feels that he is not considered and just used by Soo Ho, that's when he starts to turn into the b*tch.

As an American, we do have stuff like this along with school s****tings, so I can imagine also I've been bullied in school, not this bad but still. I guess Si Yeon felt sorry for Bumseok that guy was hurt deep inside there's no point in beating him up. It won't get to his head. All that beatings from his said "dad" caused it. In a way Si Yeon understood where bum seok was coming from he was too lonely but he went too far on Soo Ah ( the one in a coma).
