The final day of the Suroy Suroy Sugbo: Best of the West tour begins with a touch of spiritual grace.
The participants, full of anticipation for the day's adventures, gather at St. Francis of Assisi Church in the beautiful Municipality of Balamban.
Joined by Governor Gwen Garcia, they attend a solemn Sunday Mass, setting a reflective and peaceful tone for the day.
As they continue their journey through the wonders of Cebu's western treasures, the blessings received at the church will undoubtedly guide and inspire them, keeping them safe.
St. Francis of Assisi is the patron of Balamban Church, which became a parish in 1857. The feast of St. Francis is celebrated on October 4th, and the fiesta in Balamban is called the Lingaw Sadya Festival.
