I think you are getting the picture. all those worn all components add up to a bunch of slop which effects everything. keep going these are such nice tractors. looks like you have a decent one to fix up. most of them have been butchered up over the years
So depending on all that slop, it could totally stop moving forward and backwards, I just bought a 480e, and forward was funny right.off the bat, seemed like I had to move it into reverse and back to F before it would engage, only got about 20 minutes out of it before it stopped engaging either direction... Now at least I have something to check, thanks for any insight, and a good video!
I understand the excessive play in the worn parts... My buddy on the deer lease has a Case 450B.. Is this the same as a 644? Also.. it would be nice to show where the parts are located under the tractor...!
Helpful videos. I have a case 646, my bucket functions great. But I have low power moving forward. I checked all the parts involved with the banana plate and its still a terd. Anything else I should check? It has a brand new pump, I'm gonna try changing out the fluid to 15w40
I did a video on more power and forward or reverse you have to make sure that that ball joint stud is threaded just right and it's pulling the spool valve out the way it should

Could this also cause the tractor to not want to go into high gear?
