Motorcycle numb thumb - Will a Crampbuster Cruise Assist fix it?

- I'm a new motorcycle rider and I've been having issues with a numb thumb on my throttle hand. This isn't only while riding - it lasts for days after a ride. The thumb is numb, sometimes tingly, and I get shooting nerve pains.
Numb thumbs and numb hands aren't unusual in motorcycle riders - a side effect of vibrations. I know for me part of this is being a new motorcycle rider - my hands aren't used to it and I grip the throttle tighter than is necessary. I'd been looking at a device called a cruise assist or throttle assist to help with the problem.
I bought the Crampbuster Cruise Assist on Amazon to try it out. It's not a throttle lock - I didn't want anything that locked in place - it lets you twist the throttle by pressing down with the palm of your hand so your thumb doesn't have to be on the grip at all.

It's not an actual cruise control either - it just makes it easier on your hands when riding for longer distances. The Crampbuster Cruise Assist is really affordable, so it's a great option to make your hands more comfortable.

I had a Carpel Tunnel op 6wks ago and my first ride was pain city and by the time i got back to town hand was to sore to use front brake.Fitted Oxford throttle assist and what a game changer.Wish i had fitted one years ago.

call me crazy, but I installed my crampbuster all the way to left near the power switch and use my thumb to manipulate it. I don't know why but it feels more comfortable and natural to me. One thing for sure though. Best $10 I ever spent on my bike... LOL cramps begone..
Now I'm going to have to try that! I think it might be too far in because my bars aren't very wide, but it would make it easier to turn the throttle manually even if I used the wide version.

You are using the broad one wrong, you need to use the broad one with a combination of very lite grip and palm assist to throttle the vehicle, that way your requirement for the narrow one is nullified. Also this way, your speed will not be all over the place.
