My heart is aching watching this, I love Maui, everything about it especially the people. I hope Maui and its people will soon heal and recover. I hope to visit again only when the people of Maui are ready for visitors. I am know that what was lost cannot be replaced, I am sure the spirit of Maui will always be beautiful and thriving.

My theory is that someone had a huge chicken coop and the owners accidentally let it loose.
No, there are a LOT of feral chickens in Hawaii. I live on 'Oahu. Lots of chickens on all islands.
Chickens are every where. Like how they are in Miami or Key West. U see them roaming the streets.
From the island of Maui. There’s just a huge chicken population and it’s been like way before I was born.

You were in up country Maui in Makawao. Maui is one of the most expensive islands to visit. Room prices are so outrageous that some tourist rent van's that have been converted to campers and park it at the beach. The road to Hana is super zigzagged in winding. When there are landslides, the road gets blocked. I was born on Oahu and live on Oahu now but I lived on Maui for about a year and also on the Big island of Hawaii. Maui is by far, my favorite. Yes, Hawaii is pronounced Ha-va-e.ll

When your visiting Maui region near Honolulu your going to see a lot of 🐔 there friendly 😅 the drive thu the Island is nice & relaxing. its got a lot of great scenery an location for a selfie volcanic soil is great for growing fruits and vegetables. Have you try any poke or poi very peaceful 5 day trip 😀✌️❤️🤙
