Thanks Bredren! Compton is my fam, but my dad believed the suburbs were the place to be. Seein' such amazingly intelligent and charismatic folks staying and building the community makes me truly glad.

I thought of opening up a taco truck or restaurant if I ever moved back home to Hawaii. We have Mexican food there but nothing like what I've tried here in the mainland. I thought it might be weird since I'm not Mexican and I don't speak Spanish. But watching this made me change my mind about it.
I like when people make their own versions of food from different cultures. It's amazing that people can still be creative with so many dishes out in this world.
Los Angeles is home. When my Cousin and I were younger, we would always go on late-night foodie adventures, and we would always playfully say "everything tastes better in the ghetto", cause it's true. I'll take a taco food truck/puestecito/"hole in the wall" over any fancy restaurant any day. I'm glad this gentleman is doing well. :)
All love man. I'm Asian and my #1 food I fall into all the time is Mexican food. My wife never liked Mexican food and 3 years later. She dig that sh*t now. Love it!
Been keeping an eye on this dude since early days. Glad and happy to see the progression. My guy has a truck now! Only regret is that I live about a 4hr plane ride away. Next time I’m in Cali I’m headed to Compton for some tacos.
I'm so glad to see others cooking and enjoying each other's food and selling it. My mom was making tacos for us in the 1971; and many black people didn't even know or taste a taco as my family and friends....Blacktinos....
Compton City Born, Taco Eating Since 95. You really gotta be there to experience the “hood tacos”. Trust me, it’s not as bad as you might think. Give it a shot. Compton Blvd & Atlantic Ave, CA. Taco Cart Central, afternoons, Fri-Sun.

I’m from NYC and I never used to eat tacos like that even though in Brooklyn and queens you can find so much of it in spots. But when I visited CDMX a couple years ago that shit changed me. I fell in love with tacos and the city. I understand why people love it so much and bond over it. Mexican food in general is just so good. Stayed 4 days and didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait till I go back to explore more of the country and food cuisine. But I’ve never been to Los Angeles yet either so I know I gotta make a stop there I got list of spots to hit up. 😋 🌮
Bro. Been living in El Paso for the past 8 yrs. I am absolutely spoiled with authentic Mexican food everywhere I go. I even brought the food traditions from my new home, back to my old home of Phoenix AZ to my folks. My Navajo ass made absolutely everything from scratch just as I learned from living here for almost a decade and everyone who ate them just couldn't get enough. My mother still talks about the huevos rancheros and chilaquiles I made for her as well as the fish and chicken tacos.

I love seeing these young black taqueros embracing our food culture and getting with the hustle. Tacos are love!! And in LA, they’re building bridges between the communities. Nothing wrong with that.
If anything can bring us world peace, it's tacos. Tacos are universal. No one can be mad with a taco in their hand. Best food in the history of humanity, hands down.
