This was my introduction to Home Free and I could not believe how great this song was! I was a fan after hearing this How could you NOT be? Here I am, six years later & still loving these guys. Rob was so GOOD! They all are..
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won in 2013 & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. I'm sure he loved their version of this song.
When I first saw that they covered this, my immediate thought was "Really???". Yes, really. I've never cared for this song because it is just chorus after chorus after chorus. But the boys killed it. Hello, Gospel Rob. I was pretty speechless the first time I heard it.
Yep D, it’s one of Rob’s best. They killed it. Austin, Tim and Adam really excelled. They all did. It’s not my favorite song but I love their version. Tremendous!!! Have a good weekend D!
Pray for Rob. He has Covid and a really sore throat. I was at their Lancaster Pa. Concert on Sunday and Tim said they had to leave him in a motel 6. They figured out how to put Rob in the show thanks to the separate recordings and Frank one of the crew who looks a lot like Rob and can whistle too. Frank was hilarious too. The concert was like one big party. Starting to save money for the next close-by concert. This Home Fry went home with a smile, 2 t-shirts, a Crazier life Cd and some great memories.
I found this and Rob and Austin did a beautiful job on this song. The harmonies are beautiful and the beatboxing is great. Tim's low voice is great. I liked your reactions on Home Free with this song.❤❤❤❤❤❤
As always their singing, harmonies & beatboxing are incomparable and Rob is just fantastic. IMHO, Home Free's ability to vocally evoke the emotional context of a song put them on a higher level I don't think you've seen the live version of "My Church": th-cam.com/video/4Tpa5D1UMrc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=x5y5P0KmkaiBL_sM. Jaw-dropping!
