  • A how to on changing a Cabin Air Filter and why you should do this. Filter out those smells from the outside world (and people!), reduce effects of allergies or hay fever while driving and potentially get rid of leaf noise from behind your dash.
    This directly applies to BA, BF and FG Falcons, TX and TS Territory's and will also be very similar to a lot of other modern cars.
    Thanks for watching, plenty more to come on this BA Falcon including all the usual mods, performance upgrades and a good tidy up as well as loads of other projects from the garage.
    And please consider subscribing for more if you enjoyed.

    Hi Browney , mate thanks for making your videos, they are very informative .My car had a mesh filter like yours that had a thick layer of dust and leaves 🍁 in it. I asked the bloke I bought the car from when was the last time he changed the cabin filter , he said he didn’t even know it had a cabin filter in it 😂 . I Bought a repco brand a cabin filter for my BA XR6 , cost me $50 with 10% off because I’m a Repco member 😳 . The Ryco brand cost a few dollars more . These damn filters are more expensive than oil and air filters 🤔 . The thing I’m worried about with the new Repco filter I put in it is that is a fairly tight fit in so that in future when I remove it if there are leaves on to of the filter they might drop straight into the blower below, then I’ll have to pull the blower out to clean out the leaves 🍁, we don’t want the leaves catching fire 🔥 , that would be a fucking disaster , particularly if we’ve gone on a long road trip .

    • @BrowneysGarage
      @BrowneysGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jim, glad you enjoy our videos and thanks for watching.
      Most people don’t, it’s definitely gets forgotten and if it was just me driving it I probably would have too - at least until I could hear leaves on the filter!
      Gee you’d be unlucky for anything that got past to catch fire, most likely to have it blow in small pieces into the cabin! Fair point though, I’m hoping with mine being garage/carport parked all the time that it can stay there for quite some time now.

      @ Browney's Garage Mate I got no garage so I have to park my car under these massive gum trees that drop bucket loads of leaves on my car right through out summer . I think I’ll go buy a fire extinguisher just in case I need it some day 😂. Cheers 🍻
