Hi mate, lovely subi and in Classic blue aswell how could you go wrong honestly. I'm in Australia so we were spoiled for jdm market and the late 90s were a Mecca here for jdm cars of all sorts but for me it was the wrxs that stole my heart followed closely by the Mitsubishi evos, as many subi owners say including myself , there is just something special about these subarus especially of that era. I own a 2006 jdm sti forester modded and on the engine it left the factory with but now pushing out 350 whp. I have just cracked 220 thousand kms on the engine and rest of the car. She has never given me dramas at all ever and If you keep up to date with services and maintenance and not drive the car like you stole it the car will last you many many years, people are always shocked when they find out I'm almost daily driving a 350whp 2.5ltr ej now with 220 thou kms on the clock, apparently it should have blown or grenaded by now lol. I'm a bit like you mate,I'm a bit older 42 now but since I was 19 I have had alot of Japanese cars including a evo4, fc rx7 turbo, R32&R33 skyline, Toyota chaser with the vvti 1Jz and a 1.8ltr Silvia and 2ltr 180sx. I have spent many years of working late nights on my car, having fights with my girl bkoz of that and many many chunks of years throwing money at those cars and yes it was all fun and like a drug but I wish I just went the Subaru route in the beginning and saved myself probly close to 250k in cars and mods and 20 years of working jobs I hated just to keep the buzz going. I will always have my Subaru it's not going anywhere until I die (a old man hopefully) but now and the last 6 years I get my speed rush from supersport Japanese motorbikes, it's three times the speed and it's only a flick of the wrist away PLUS for under 10k you too can destroy Ferraris, lambos 1000hp evos and nearly almost any other road car. Anyway nice vid mate and I'm looking forward to see your other cars and future vids. All the best and Peace out my Subaru brother.

Wow what an awesome comment to read . I love the car culture and the stories we all have . Could not agree more with you on Subarus of that era. I also own currently a built EVO 4 and a 1999 GC8 Sti with 46000km. Lots of content coming out soon . Appreciate the support and much love to another Subaru brother

Lovely car i currently have a 2006 JDM Subaru Forester STI. Love it i have had it 10 years, Super reliable if you get the oil changed every 4k. Mine is the EJ255 running 333hp tuned and imported by Litchfield. The left hand drive is very strange looking to us English and Japanese haha. 38 Years old so its our era i guess awesome to see you loving life. Good luck,. Another great thing about these cars now they hold there money. I paid £8000 for my Subaru in 2015, today its worth 10 to £12,500. Unheard of really.

Fighting with the idea of selling my 06 sti that is very sentimental to my wife and I, this video has certainly helped me rethink a little.

@@zeno15sti33 haha this one I’ll likely leave the way it is. It’s been well maintained and it shows . I do however have an extremely built Evo 4 and I own a 1999 JDM GC8 WRX Sti .

@Grease_and_Grub Extremely built, Sounds like you might be willing to sell it. Really just talking about some driveability mods , Some things that you know 20yrs of hindsight. Things that won't change the look so much but really modernize the car, Turbo inlet the hard inlet , fueling discreet proper and a tune.
