I'm new to poly gel. And needed information on using poly. I found your videos and they are so helpful. I am so thankful you go step by steps and dose and don't thank you so much for making these videos .
Vic you did a great job for a first try. They turned out great. I love this method. I tried it on myself 2 weeks ago, and they're still on. It's a great way for a quick nail set, so thank you to Femi Beauty for showing us this great method. xx
I love using Femi's lazy girl method. Made sure to watch a lot of videos first and my first set were so pretty. They lasted about 2 months, my nails grow super slow. Has to be a gel nail full nail as the plastic won't stick right.
I am doing the same thing, haven't even ordered my products yet 🙃 but they are in my cart ready to go. I hope I am successful on my first try as well given the amount of videos I have watched.
@@ambercole6704 You will be. I found the firmer gel better otherwise as your working with it, it melts kinda... just gets way to runny. It was frustrating that night but from then on kept cool water in my room while I was working.
Yes I love it for super fast sets!!! And I love showing you guys when Im struggling so its more realistic. You’re so right, we def are all learning together 😊❤️
I just did femis lazy girl method about 4 days ago and so far they still feel very sturdy Deffly last longer then the regular polygel method and I have no idea if it was the method or because I got a better lamp either way I’m in love
That’s so good I’m glad the nails are lasting a lot longer than using the traditional method. It could be the lamp as well though 😊💕 i’m sure your nails look amazing!!?
I am so in love with the colors in the Emily Susannah kit. I've personally never done this method of applying nails, but I do see the benefit for someone starting out or for a quick set. I personally prefer the traditional application method of being able to sculpt nails with paper forms or a tip. I generally don't watch videos on this method other than a few because I love and support the Nail Tuber. Other than seeing a pretty design, there just isn't much value for me. Again.....THIS IS JUST ME PERSONALLY and I mean no disrespect to anyone else. I get discouraged a little bit because it seems like the majority of new content primarily uses that method, so I'm super happy to hear you prefer the traditional method as well. As I mentioned before I'm not technically a beginner, but I'm also not a professional. And I love watching nail application videos. It soothes me. Especially during super difficult times like I'm dealing with now as we are preparing for end of life care for my mama who lies alone in a hospital and we can't see her except one day next week to say goodbye. And we had to fight the hospital for that "courtesy". Anyway that was off subject.....so sorry! I think this method allows anyone regardless of their experience level to enjoy a beautiful set of nails, and I think it got even more popular as nail salons were closed. It's just not something I'm personally going to do. As always you did a great job of explaining things and showing the method. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
The colors in Emily‘s kit are so amazing, i’ve been itching to use them again. This method was so fun to try out and is definitely something I would do if I need a set in less than an hour. But I love the art of sculpting nails a little better too. It’s funny, that’s actually what I say about myself I’m not really a beginner but I’m not a professional LOL. No need to apologize either, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Im glad that you get a chance to see her again, i was shocked when I read the word “curtesy”. Sending prayers of comfort for you and you family during this difficult time ❤️
@@vicsnailtips You're such a sweetheart and I think you and I have a lot of similarities. I look at doing nails as a form of art as well. And I'm also the type of person who likes to do things well and correctly. Not that this method isn't correct, but if I were a professional tech this is not something a client would be interested in. I hope that makes sense. I don't at all want to sound like I'm bashing the method or those who do it, because I do think it's great for some people. Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm a very private person and never discuss my personal life on social media. And I never want to sound like I'm looking for attention. But truly watching nail and monkey videos gives me a few minutes each day to not focus on things. The hospital's reasoning for not allowing us to visit is because my mom is Covid positive. So instead my mom lies in the hospital completely alone. She is in a state of delirium and they say while she does have brain activity, she doesn't necessarily know things like who she is or where she is. When they bring her out of sedation each day for a few minutes to do testing, her heartrate skyrockets and she becomes very agitated. She must be so terrified and I can't do anything. So yeah, when they said they were allowing us the "courtesy" of a onetime visit to say goodbye I pretty much went ballistic. It's such an awful thing and so many families are going through the same thing. I have asked for someone to hold a phone to her ear or hold the iPad up for a virtual visit. I'm told someone will call me back to do that. Its been over a week of me asking for this EVERY DAY and it still hasn't happened. I know doctors and hospital staff are overwhelmed, but we have to do better. Our loved ones deserve better. The hospital says that they are reviewing our complaint to see what they can do to improve. Um.....pretty sure we can't be the first ones to bring this to light. They should already be doing better. Ok girl....I'm done. Thanks so much for sharing your time and personality and work. I appreciate you!!! 💜💜💜💜
I love this method even tho taking them off is a pain get hot water some acetone nail polish remover and I use ziplock bags to sit on the hot water I like the stone as well I just hate the sticky everything is while working with the poly jail but this method feels better than press on much more sturdy than every other method I’ve tried thus far
Nice end results...I got all the things I need to try this.. they often suggest going 1 size up with this method especially the nails you add glitter to
These are beautiful 🧜🏻♀️ how did you do the glue and top coat placement at the end though ?? Please make a video of how 😇 your glue doesn’t dry ? You top the top coat right next to glue placement ? Then cure all together ?
I was literally just trying this method and the tips kept sliding away from my cuticles. This method isn't quite as easy as the former name implied. I feel like dual forms work much easier however as a newbie to Polygel I don't yet know how to shape the nails into say a coffin shaped. I appreciate this video

what is your favorite poly gel kit? and favorite poly gel products in general? i might by some products individualized and what is the best drill u can buy off Amazon. that is affordable?
I think lazy girl method is best for clear or eeenthrew or encapsulated things we could just but regular full nails etc snd just use clear gel to get it stuck on our rel nail kinda like poly is the nail glue to keep it
Hello this is my first time doing polygel, I just don't like them dual forms nails. So I came across your video, do you pop the fake nails off. I have seen some video that using fake nail pop them off. But I think if you do, I'm go your way
Hey loves, its Friday!!! Im trying out the Femi Beauty Method. Im a huge fan of hers but have never tried her method before today 😊 I would love to hear your thoughts on the method, video, and if you guys hve ever tried it. Can’t wait to chat with you in the comments 💕
Hi thank you so much, im glad you enjoyed the video! Im not an expert with this method but I would fill in with polygel ans remove it the same way I do polygel. i have a video on how I do that with traditional polygel sets. Hope this was somewhat helpful 💗
Heeeeeey.... your nails came out really pretty. I tried this method and I must say it is so much easier and better. The only thing I dislike about polygel it is so sticky. Thanks for sharing ❤
I have to be honest, they popped off the night after. It definitely could've been user error, but I did properly prep them beforehand. If you do this method I would be extra cautious of your cuticle area, making sure nothing is touching the skin to avoid lifting and popping!!! I hope they turn out good 😊
How long did this set really last? When I tried this method, the set didn't last a week. They kept popping off. Finally after attaching another nail on I gave up. I had to take the set off.
The specific set lasted two days before they started popping off. Since then I’ve done more lazy girl method nails and they’ve stayed on longer. I started doubling up on primer. I also press the nail on far away from my cuticle and sidewalls and slide it down so that I don’t get a bunch of product spilling out and touching my skin. I hope this helps 💗
Idk if this is a different method or something, but I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to not buff the inside of the nail forms and pop them off after curing. But hey they turned out great anyway
That is the dual form method. This method uses full cover gel tips which stay on after the process to limit filing and shaping hence “the lazy girl method” name 🙂
#vicsnailtips I have just received my order of clear polygel and all the other essential items you need, I can't wait to try it especially with my #beatles gel polishes
Thank you 😊 very blingy lol & yess, I agree it's so similar to dual forms. I prefer the traditional method too but I could see myself doing this if I'm in a hurry!! I appreciate this comment!!!
Thank you, they came out so blingy 😊 Im actually hearing that the method didnt work for a lot of people! It’s definitely a lot harder than it looks lol so I get that

They’re not dual forms that pop off. Gel full cover tips are used instead which stay on after curing to minimise filing and shaping hence the “lazy girl” name. Hope this helps
Ahh thank you 😊💕but if im honest, these popped off the same night. I dont know if it was my fault or if this method just doesnt last long on me but they didnt even last a full day😭
