I bought a 72 Nova, in 86 that had no problems for 900 dollars. Boy-O-Boy have the times have changed. Have a great day Nick.
But still have my 72 Pontiac lemans that is basically still all original.
Sounds like it's running on 6
This is a perfect fix while you drive it. It's a shame I sold my engine I've had sitting around because it would go nicely in here. All camaros and novas like this 72 beauty needs a big block lol electrical work isn't an issue. Shes a solid unit that needs the gremlins worked out. Its funny seeing those negative comments. I've been working and building cars for 45years and this one isn't scaring me away one bit.
@@tonytrumble EXACTLY!!!
I agree. Great hobby car.
And dude aint hiding nothing.
Cool, My first car was a 72 Nova. 250 straight 6 with a power slide transmission. It was a $500 car in the mid 80s
Sure sounds like it ain't firing on all cylinders
Holy smokes man, I love that car. Needs to be made into a four speed again.
No hot rod should be a automatic
Dude you don't have the money to even come close.. agree love that Nova style.. cost you a fortune mechanically to make it right..that thing has major problems
@
I don’t have the money to even purchase this thing. Only in my dreams.🫤
@@gregorymceaddy8884 You don’t necessarily need a ton of money if you do the work yourself.
Oh good Lord dude I freaking love your channel dude and I love all those cars born 1972 and I’d rather have one of those old beautiful cars than anything. Brand new dude.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the channel!
I’m August 72 and feel the same way. The red 72 Chevelle and this one sitting in my garage would make me happy indeed.
Sorry dude but this nova is way over priced
Like most cars this place has for sale .
No 'bout adout it~~:)
What's wild, is so many who comment on these videos think OTHERwise.
Perhaps they've never bought one before & are just tire kickers?
I dunno, but I see it that way too.
I've owned several Novas They all needed some work, enjoy working on them Back in the day. Wish I would have Kept one. Or Two
True SS...great price! Litte things are easy fix. Interior looks good, undercarriage is clean, nice exhaust....i could fix pretty much all those little electrical things in a weekend.
IVE ALWAYS WONDERED IF THERE WHERE MORE SS SOLD THAN MADE BY GM ? 😂🤔 NICE NOVA NICK ! ✌
They sure sold a ship load of SS badges...just about every Malibu in existence has them glued on 😉
Nice old Nova. I had 63, 68,72,75, Nova's
I got a 75’. Passes inspection every year.
They sell cars for what the market supports. This car was sold within hours.
You guys have to keep up with the market.
Looks like there a good base to work with not all old and used cars are perfect but needs a major tune up
New a guy Bob Fisch that had a
Really nice one of those..!!🤙
I had a '73 SS. I miss that car. Who knows maybe I'll hit the lottery.
Sounds like it’s gonna fall apart
First thing, it was a 4 speed manual transmission! Its a NOVA SS ! This car needs to be restored to original specs. But the $$$$$ its not a cheap undertaking! A classic Chevy nova! Body’s stright! A 400cui sbc, if you have the $$$$! You can make this one an everyday driver? Or a drag car? Looks good!
Probably not a true SS car. 350 with a four speed, 10 bolt rear end.
Actually, that gas gauge did move above full after you turned the key to the run position. Nice Nova though. I like it.
Mineral spirits the solvent you clean out a paint brush out with will take out all the wax,,,, (compound) out of the indention with a small brush or toothbrush just make sure you wipe up excess will not hurt the finish of the paint not a bad looking car Nick,,,, thank you for your videos
I couldn't agree more with you Nick on the battery situation 👍
There it is..I believe I read it has a deposit..good call on the horn!
I'd verify by the vin it's a true SS. It doesn't have the SS door panels or fender emblems and the 427 wasn't available in 72
It's not.
We verify them before we list them, this is 100% a born Super Sport Nova and we have all the proof
A Father and Son project where the Son walked off of the project and Dads money dryed up.
This comment makes me sad. But I’ll get over it somehow.😊
Say What?! Is That Stunt Man Mikes Ride?! Love it!
She needs some love, but she is gonna be a head turner when finished!!~
All that "LOVE" = *$$$.*
What you end up with then is an OVER-priced car, MORE so than it is in its current condition.
@@Kman. Don’t be afraid and learn to do the work yourself.
@@thewhiteelephant
1. No desire
2. No time
3. I'm 70 yrs young :)
@@Kman. Fair points. To be honest, as I approach 53, I would much rather drive and enjoy my ‘71 Nova than work on it. Gone are the days when I could afford to work on cars morning till night with no breaks in between. Plus, my back and joints aren’t what they used to be. 😁
Not gonna lie she’s in rough shape# novadose
Looks good but that’s about it. Dang. Somebody will buy it though 😂😂
It’s already on hold for 3 people , most SS Novas we have are 30k. This one needs some electrical done inside but we priced it to sell.
Not every classic can be sold as a trailer queen. They give average guys like us the opportunity to own something that drives and something that has further potential. This is a necessary market. If you’re looking for perfection, go somewhere else and expect to go there with a bigger wallet. If you want something you can drive around, tinker with and or potentially make into a show car, then these are your guys!
Thank you
Very well said. People commenting on here are brutal. I have until October until I payoff my car and you can bet I’ll be traveling to Maple Motors for an affordable classic soon after.
@@JCTheLawnCareGuy Exactly. Maple isn’t pretending to sell something they are not. People make comments actually believing that every muscle car being sold is completed. People sell their cars at different stages, and depending on their budget, they take long to complete. And let’s be honest, cars like these are never really “finished.” Always an upgrade around the corner.
You are right, it needs a little, alot of work.
it looks good, i like your honest reviews
Thank you, we try to be as honest as possible with everything we sell!
The ol' drag car returned back to street duty.
If the battery checks out good then it sounds like it may just have a bit too much timing in it.
I've been waiting for this one, I'm disappointed with the 400, I really wanted to see a 427 under the hood.
The body looks pretty good. Its a shame its an electrical nightmare. Im doing a ground up resto on my inherited 1970 Nova SS. Complete rewire was tops on list. Every nut and bolt and bushing and the list is endless. All things considered, your car is still priced ok, by todays market.
Hard to get a black car to look that good. Needs some TLC. Factory 4 speed! Not a plenty like that!! Very worthy hot rod. Just needs some love.
Thats a sub $10grand car. So much work needs done. The previus owner needs a good talking to
*LOL*
What planet are you living on, 10k 😂😂😂
If you got the money and want a turnkey go to Coyote.. their vintage is top of the line
Agreed but I’d keep it GM engines. Cheers 🎉
Sure is a sharp looking car! If someone is willing to do a little work they will have a great car to cruise. I see restored Novas for double that price. Just depends if you have more ability or money.
MORE THAN A LITTLE WORK !!
@guylandgrebe6030 Depends on how much you can do. To me, body work is a lot. Engine rebuild is expensive. I hate electrical but a good tune up and some work on the wiring and you can drive with pride, and confidence.
@@markestes5948 I'm thinking though, that the people who buy cars from Maple Motors, they're wanting a "road ready", cruise-in type car...one that they know is not a 1st place show car, but one that fairs pretty well at some shows, & they're not in a position to dump any more money into the ride.
it has the great little turbo 350 transmission down under,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The squeaking and squealing makes that ride sound sick. Plus, that is no real SS Nova.
Old classic 👍👏
That is not an SS , the gauges and interior 👀
When i win the lotto, im coming to get cars from you!
Hey Nick buddy, Ain't it a little scary to let em roll like that lol.
Nah not at all
Good Afternoon There My Good Little Bro Nick Southgate Sir Of Maple Motors
hey how's it going !
What?? 🤪🤪🤪
And the parking light lens is missing from the passenger side of the bumper bro 😲
The exact car I want 72 Nova SS
Beautiful 🖤🖤
Nice looking Nova 👍👍👍👍
It will be nice when everything that needs to be done to the car
My first car was a 72 Nova SS.
I can almost guarantee that the electrical issues are all due to poor/lack of grounds. Simple fix. Judging by the comments, there aren’t alot of car guys on here.
Define "car guys".
@ Guys who actually work on their own cars and aren’t afraid to figure things out and fix them.
Intro song is dope! It’s a keeper
Thank you
yes the gauge moved
1972 Nova didn't offer a big block so we know the 427 emblem is just that. So the SS emblems are probably suspect too. Nice looking car. Has potential. Priced about right for what it is and what it needs.
8:48 😮🤦🏼
Lordy I’d buy this before I saw it was a true SS a little work and you got yourself nice cruiser. No wonder it’s on hold .
Obviously not a number matching car or it would be close to 6 figures Yenko is the only one that came with a 427 I have a real 70 with 396 4 speed mid 30,000 miles on it wouldn’t sell it for less than $80,000 very rare special order car two owners my dads best friend special ordered the car out of Oregon
Looks like a fun car
The plug is disconnected from the horn bro.
Plug the wipers in bro 😲
That car is going to need some major work bro.
A lot of covered up issues wonder what that windshield channel looks like
Sounds good
Thank you
I bet that thing gets beat by Hondas. Don’t feed it after midnight.
For the price that's not a bad,,,,,ive seen a 1969 nova for $9,000,00 more than your price ans it was silver with black stripes,,,,but much rather have the black nova and build a bug block from the 9 grand in other words much rather have the black 72 instead of the 69 and drop a 632 right down in her or a 540 which is cheaper than the 632 but rhank you again nuck
Nice looking ride
Such a Nova ...
Let's see, needs electrical work, nothing on dash works, about a 30 footer as far as paint goes, gas tank leaks, under sized battery in trunk with hookups running thru 4 inch hole s in trunk, windshield leaks [carpet needs replacing, wonder why] ,goofy stitching on bucket seats, 427 badges on a small block car [Badges? We don't need no stupid badges!] .About the only thing going for it is it is an original 4 speed car {No selector knob on the steering column] and chrome looks presentable. Sorry to be so brutal but it is what it is. At $23 k, better figure spending that much again to make it presentable,
Does not sound like it is shifting right.
Nice old 72 nova..rj
Great car
Awesome Nova, Nick.
Thank you!
That’s not a 72 though bro. That’s a 1970 Nova.
Parts off a 70 people do that all the time
@
Should be a crime 😅
HUH?
It's a clone. 400 w/427 badges? Beautiful car but not really feeling that price.
Good handyman special Lol😂 nice Nova or potential to be.
Hey Nick you need to come sing for my band
Nice I like it but not for that price
a 4 speed is not that hard to get, I'm with the others that someone should plop a manual back in that, oh and fix all the other things too🤣
Sadly buying a classic has gotten outlandishly priced. I built a 68 Chevelle all worked for 15000 ten years ago.
8:40 Need more "cowbell"
This car is sold already?
It does have 3 holds on it
427 😂
@@175southshrinkflation
Another missing flywheel cover.
Used to have a 4 speed and now it’s automatic. To me that decreases the value. 23,900 seems a littlehigh
All small problems add up fast
Nice car. I sure wish it had the big block in it. 4 speed would have been nice also.
BB wasn't available for this car.
I seen the 427 emblem and thought it may have a big block.
Nice!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Definitely no horn
Not sure how you keep your insurance coverage walking the whips😂
I would rather have a 4-speed...sharp car.
Yea shes not on all 8. Surely a wire out of place
SS didn't have a 400 motor.
Not the factory motor, if it was it would have been price more.
I hate they changed it from a 4 speed to automatic...
Death proof!!
Way over priced, due to so many electronic wiring failures and after market additions, and all the mechanical and engine change as well as the esthetic upholstery changes that were not done professionally and were done by the previous owner's.
Dang you spelled underpriced wrong 🤣✌️
A little bit, for $24,000. Damn.
who makes a nova into an Automatic....what a shame
I m . NOT feeling this guy
