- Welcome to another week of school lunches. I'll share what our kids are taking in their lunches and what they ate when they get home. I encourage our kids to bring any leftovers home, rather than throwing them out. We pack simple and quick lunches, nothing fancy here. Thanks for watching.

when i saw you put notes in the kids lunches, it brought me to tears , my youngest son is turning 24 this year , i used to leave him notes and little pictures i would draw, and he still has them in a little box. I think its a great thing to do , and I'm sure it makes there day...💞
Awww Sue, they grow up too fast. I can't believe my oldest is in middle school, I can see them all growing up! Audrey will often ask me to put a note in her lunch. That's sweet that your son still has some of his! I hope you have a great weekend! 😊
Aww, lucky Emily with her own packed lunch 🥰 so special! I always love seeing their treats at the end of the week! I enjoy the variety of lunches you give your kids. It gives me a lot of ideas, some that I’ll save for when my oldest is more adventurous! The hamburger bun pizza was a good idea!! Thank you for sharing! Great lunch ideas. I've used these choices also. Including French toast and pogos 😊 I make tiny muffins in these great pans I got a few years back. They come out so cute and they dissappear fast lol.
One thing we enjoy is bread pudding squares with syrup in lunches. But a microwave is needed for some stuff. It's cold here also. Really cold yesterday at -21°C very unreasonable for February. Warm up next week 👍 looking forward to having my flowers 💐 Have a great day and weekend 😊
Those are all great suggestions!! I think my kids would enjoy French toast. I haven't bought pogos in a long time. It's freezing here today too, feels like - 22°. Hoping for warmer days ahead! Have a great weekend!
I love all of your videos, and I really enjoy watching the kids empty their lunch boxes. It was very cute to see that you filled a lunch for Emily and fun to watch her empty the lunch box at the end of the day. Awesome Friday treats this week, I'd like the one Ben had. How is Ben doing on the lactose free diet? We are doing well here, hoping to stay illness free for awhile. Thanks for sharing the time with us Lindsay.

I thought Emily would be more excited to empty her lunch, maybe she just enjoys seeing if the bigger kids ate everything, and if they left her any surprises! I love Emily's lunch, it probably makes her feel like she is a "big" kid. Soon enough she will be going off to school herself and you will be making four kid's lunches. Plus your big kid Dave.
Kerry, she carried that lunch can around all day, took it in the van with her when we dropped the kids off at school. Lol I often think about how soon she'll be going to school... I can't believe it.

Great lunches, Lindsay! For the fruit cups, I always opened it, and put it in a leakproof snack sized container. It was much less messy for them at school.

I've thought about putting the fruit cup in a leak proof container, I just don't have any good ones. I think Daisy got at 90% of our containers over the years. So I need to replace them. I hope you are doing well!! 😊

Emily is growing up so fast!! So cute she got a lunch this time. I love these videos (and the week of suppers as well) they always give me inspiration! I began to include chopped veggies in my son's lunches-cucumbers, carrot, celery. I also bought Naan bread to make the Naan pizza you talk about-will make a fast yummy lunch

So I heard something the other day. Do your kids not get offered a school lunch? I heard in Canada you don’t have an option but to pack. Great lunches as always!
Hey Brandie, our school has a cafeteria and kids can purchase lunch. But it's expensive and my kids prefer take one from home.

Does Ben have problems with dairy? The protein pancake mix has buttermilk powder and whey protein which are both a milk product. I was just curious. I have a family member that has to watch dairy.
He's been having some belly troubles, so I've been trying him with dairy free. That k you for pointing out the pancakes, I hadn't realized. But I read the ingredients and you're right. None of our kids have ever had food issues, so it's all new to me. Thanks for your advice! I'll keep a closer eye on ingredients. 😊
