Why Africa is hiding this beautiful treasure known as Real Love. The world doesn't know we can love each other like this. The movies portray African men as a slave master of the women. For years I believed that. This is the most Romantic thing I have EVER seen. Not even in real life. I love this show. I have been married for 5 years and in DESPERATE NEED OF THIS SHOW. We used to be like Dede and Tee but we lost our way. We'll find it again. Thank you.

All this while, I have never seen a more perfect series that has treated the topic of what newly weds should be like the story of the Mwendas. I am in my 40’s and I absolutely loved this series!!! I wish there were more positive demonstrations of love in marriages in African films like this. Everything was so relatable. It is such a refreshing narrative to see African men portrayed as being romantic, vulnerable & emotionally available. I loved and appreciated the real-life couples at the end who really reinforced the true nature of Tee & Dede’s relationship that this actually happens in the real world. I know I am 4 years late to this amazing series but nevertheless an awesome 👏🏾 job done by all involved! I have shared this link for the series to everyone I know .

Seeing and hearing this young couples share their true story and experience makes the hair on the back of my head rise up. I love "Love", sad I haven't hard a great experience with it thus far, I still haven't given up on it yet.

The first time I saw this movie I couldn't wait to get married but going through life and all I guess I stopped seeing the joy that is marriage. Sure, I still wanted to get married but just cause it's the norm saw marriage like the after effect of being grown and stable but seeing this movie again just reminded me that this is what God intended marriage to be. Marriage is a beautiful thing and I pray not just for God to give me a husband like this husbands..like Tee🤗 but for God to make me a wife as strong as Deedee, even better.. capable of learning and not moved bypressures of the standards of this world but be supportive and kind and understanding and present and loving to my husband. I am watching in 2020 and am so grateful I found this phenomenal series. The African voice is so important. In ancient times we set the moral codes. We tamed barbaric nations. In modern times we must once again set the standards for society. The internet and social media has given Africa access to the world. It is most important that we influence the world with our high moral standards and not let the world influence us to lower ours.

This series deserves awards . It was so well done! Great storytelling that kept getting better and better. Very engaging actors. Great characters: Dede was fun to watch and Tee was the perfect complement. Kerry was a riot, and Sam the great best friend. What a great benediction to marriage and friendship in a time when we dont see good images of it.

Loved it because as a young married woman 3 and a half years in this thing you don't get a lot of shows that identify with where you are and this show perfectly captured the struggles and the benefits of marriage.
