If the computers have been doing their job correctly, they would never have gotten into the kind of situation that requires this to begin with. @@yvrelna Not necessarily. External events are not in the computer's control. And the physics of a space craft interacting with its external environment are tough.
      It is quite possible that a series of unexpected, low probability events led to this scenario, and then after a point conditions become favorable again, for the computer to regain control of the craft.

Example, Scott and friend talk about great thing friend has heard of but not the majority of people, scott goes and visits great thing, meets people there or talks with people later on about the great thing that spawn a discussion about another great thing, repeat.
      If this goes on then at some point Scott covered all great things and starts covering not so great things becoming an influencer.

    • @grasuh

      Gemini or similar small "canister" spacecraft have low mass and inertia. When something goes wrong it is very possible the spacecraft could rotate violently and the astronaut could get disoriented or become unconscious. The risk of the fast rotation is much less likely with large ships like space shuttle due to high inertia.

    • @TheEgg185
      @TheEgg185 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EasiPat - WTF. they don't use the space shuttle anymore. They use the Soyuz now which is a space capsule. I'm guessing the training now is all done in Russia and they probably have one of these there.

    I experienced something similar... There was a setup similar to MAT at a local music festival. You paid one ticket and two guys spun you until you said you can't handle it anymore. Although it was a standing setup (so you had to engage all your muscles in order not to fall off or break your back in the middle), it was a lot of fun!
    I spent so much time spinning on that thing that a huge line formed and two guys kindly asked me to come tomorrow earlier in the evening to have free spins for as long as I like. 😁😁😁
