In this video we go over the potential for a witch based baron build. Bone barrier is now gone and we get baron's leech from zombies which should stack nicely with the baron. We also get absolution of insight which gives us a stronger version of spiritual aid. We go over possible str stacking builds converting str/melee damage into spell damage and projectile damage using zombies leech with ghost reaver and even potential for a melee build or full zombie damage build.

Very rough basic POB example + budget items to get thru campaign to level 50+ ( Don't take the str nodes if you are not going str gear or baron early go curses/aoe or fire if using new incinerate or rolling magma. or survival such as res/life/es ) poe.ninja/pob/17xH I will provide notes in reply to this comment so people can further understand I might have to do a separate video on it explaining the mechanics for it all.

Very basic budget tree. It will depend on your luck with drops and currency to decide how you want to play it.
One thing that should stand in a big way here is the change to bone barrier in regards to the baron. The Baron provides life leech only from Zombies. The new bone barrier change provides leech from all minions. You will have early on 5-6 Zombies
and 10 wolves all leeching back to you plus minions from absolution. This is huge. With rigwalds crest and chalice of horrors campaign should be easy minus a few bosses such as Kitava.
You can opt to go for life leech and more max life early on over ES. You can focus on the AOE trees and using absolution or rolling magma.
If you get the strength first taking Iron Will and Iron Grip and going with AOE Spells would be good. If you prefer a zombie play style focus on getting survivability for zombies and max zombies since they will leech life or es back to you increasing your survival grab res on tree and items as needed. Using ghostwrithe gives a good chunk of ES but sacrifices the life to do it so you will likely want chaos res or CI. The gear isn't mandatory but its budget friendly and gets you thru campaign fast when you
drop contagion on a pack the Chalice of Horrors Shield will inflict Decay on Enemies you Curse with Hex Skills, dealing 700 Chaos Damage per Second for 8 Seconds this will also spawn your spectral wolves from rigwalds crest and with the minion duration on tree you should always have 10 wolves out. Each wolf gives 3 to 6 attack phys damage so if you got a leadsprinkler early that would stack nicely.
You could probably play this as life leech early with aoe nodes and even some curse nodes once you get the shield. All items should be cheap a few chaos at most. You can fill the other slots with whatever gear you like. This is just to get thru campaign. How you plan and play out the final build will be up to your luck in terms of drops and currency it can be done cheap or expensive it could be done with str-atk dmg or spell dmg it can be life leech or es tanky or glass
cannon. Play this build to your own play style and your goals for the league.
Once you hit level 50+ You can decide which route you want to go on the tree grabbing jewel sockets, str passives, iron will and iron grip. Maxing out res and ES/Life and swapping out the ghostwrithe with geofri's sanctuary or iron fortress.
Just keep in mind more minions = more leech if they stay alive so do you

It is pretty universal and can start off budget friendly can't see it going wrong hope you get a chance to try it out.

hello returning player that forgot a lot here, mind making/sharing a PoB, for this

Nice to see returning players. I haven't made a pob yet attempted to the other day and the app ate up 23 gbs of ram maybe memory leak. The build will go 1 of 2 ways and will depend on gear and play style. Basically you can rush the str and get the str gear and baron. Or go minion dmg energy shield and ghost reaver since the change to bone barrier basically gives you barons leech from zombies. Then you could get the str after. I might be doing that as leveling could be faster I think and less reliant on gear/str. The main take away would be for str you need a lethal pride jewel early on and str stats on gear. I will try to make a pob again today if I don't work I will showcase the build as I make it.
