This the thing I love about plants. They’re so determined to live and just keep growing.
Instinctively, we're that way too - but we have a brain. For some people, that's the problem. They overthink it & give up on themselves too easily.
Keep hope alive. I'm working on my small one. Now I know what to do.

I KNOW RIGHT! I was so shocked at how well it had recovered...it is doing even better now. I think either it felt my love and knew that I was trying to rescue it...or it was just a loving plant that wanted to reward me for my effort...either way...we love each other and I am happy to be able to provide it a new and loving forever home! I will have to do an update on it soon. Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!

Wow this is so inspiring, same as you I rescued (hoping) my friends’ alocasia giant taro (in pot) that was thrown out in the garbage which was dried out (not rotting) but I am just a newbie in plant world. Cleaned it up, but not washed (wasn’t sure what to do) then repotted in a moist light soil. I will what you did, just mist spray when needed and hoping I get same good news as you did 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤞🤞🤞

I love your energy. I'm going through this right now.. my jacklyn keeps getting soft. I thought I was great with alocasia bulbs.. blbut this bulb does not want to harden and grow. I uses peroxide.. I sprinkled the cinnamon .. dried out.. then put it back in the dried perlite that I always use.. well I think something is attacking my bulbs.
Sometimes we are just like this alocasia, waiting for a help...

If you see a little bit of life in the plant give it a chance. I have a struggling kangroo fern myself am been patient with her.Wow that's something it was an older plant glad you were able to save her.

Hello! I have a problem and hopefully you can help me out. I have a huge elephant ear that has about a 2ft tall trunk and now only two leaves. I thought it was getting too much sun or not enough water because the leaves had begun to yellow, but today I see it has spider mites! We're going into summer now, would you recommend cutting it all the way back to the bulb? It's too large to wash off and there's too many places for the little buggers to hide in on it's trunk. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time!

Hi. I have a question. I pour hot water (1Lwater) and bleach (1 teaspoon) while sanitize my perlite and i forgot i put alocasia bulb inside this perlite too 🤣 do u think the bulb still can survive?
it’s not intentionally, i just such a clumsy person. 😓
