Cool build Ron, as a Trucker I see these canopies daily fueling my Semi, it would be a fun project lighting the canopy with LEDs for night effect, Summit makes very nice models and the owner has an awesome UP layout!!!
Hey, Boomer. Thank you. I'm a bit disappointed in the paint job on the canopy, as I noted, but I'm really happy with the rest of it and it will look good in the scene as I complete more of it.
Hi Ron & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Ron & Friends Randy & Super Cool Video Ron & Super N Scale Gas Station &Ron Thanks Friends Randy
Great work Ron. I'm in the process of building an N Scale layout. I have several Woodland Scenics lighted buildings. I've tried to level out their locations but I have some light leaking out from the foundations. I'm looking for ideas to block it out.
I’m going to get this kit but, my only concern now is whether I will be able to control my hands. They tend to shake a bit when I’m trying to fit tiny model pieces. Anyway, I’m going to try. Thanks for showing and describing your build! 🇨🇦
Nice, Ron. I did custom painting of Maine Central locos & rolling stock that were sold in the local hobbyshop in the mid 80's. "Ron's Trains" is what I called my little enterprise. There were no factory HO stuff available in those days. Sold like hot cakes. Every week when I delivered finished models to the store, the owner would send me home with more to do for that week. Things rarely stayed in the shop more than a week. I have a question for you. Where are you gettig the Shell decals? I would like to find Shell decals in HO, not just for buildings and signs, but for vehicles also. The only gas station in my home town during the 60's was a Shell station. There had been 2 others in the 50's which didn't survive into the 60's. To complete the station, I need to find another thing that will be a real oddity. On the roof of the station was a fiberglass(I suppose) figure of a boy in a night shirt with a tire on his shoulder and I thinl a candle in his other hand. I can't remember now which tire manufacturer used that for their advertising. Would have to have been one of the old tire manuf. like Firestone, B F Goodrich, Goodyear. I just can't remember. Maybe I'll google it but regardless of who, I need to find that figure in HO. I sure can't carve one.LOL
I've already answered my question about the boy. It was Fisk tires that had it in their advertising. The boy is yawning and the slogan was "is it time to retire?" I'll never find anything close to that.
I will probably add SOME interior detail and lights, but on the layout you will primarily see the back of the convenience store, so it's not the highest priority.
Video narration was easy to follow. All the gluing of parts was shown vertically, a horiz shot would add comprehension. I didn't mind that you put it together first, then painted by the use of masking. As opposed to painting all first, then assembling.
Great video on the summit model. One thing I don't understand is why everybody in model railroading uses the back ground hillbilly finger picking music.Bring the music up a bit to rock!
Hi Ron your project of your Shell service station came out very well, I see absolutely nothing wrong I see a professional job , well done .👍

The build turned out great.I've been toying with purchasing summit kits but wasn't sure. You've convinced me to give them a try.
My only recommendation is test fit everything in advance and it will be great.
Nice looking kit. Wish I could find a HO scale Whataburger kit. Nice N scale one at 15:52
I have a future video about it that just might help you out.
Ron, very nice work as usual. Your patience and talent always show through. Also,
that is why I model HO😁
Those are some nice pallets, Thanks!
That was a great build Ron 👍🏽…

Yellow and Red some of the worst if not the worst colors to touch up with a brush. 15:16 Ganaby Glue?
Tell me something I don't know.
Looks great Ron! Thanks for sharing. 👍😁

Hey Ron, where did you get the Whataburger? I live in central Texas and have an "N" scale layout that's begging for a Whataburger.
Same here...
#NOT_SPONSERD
It was custom 3D printed by a friend in Texas. I will do a video on that soon and include a link
@@RonsTrainsNThings Awesome, thank you.

The decals came with the kit, but I'm sure you can find Shell images online and print some of your own.
Need to get u a printer, lol. Needs an interior. Simple printed interior scene would work fine. Nice work though.

Ron do you happen to know the brand or exact product those magnetic corner clamps are for building structure? Nice work on this build!

@@RonsTrainsNThings thanks!
I come from New Zealand and am interested in Magent Corner. Where does Magent Corner get from?
Here is a link to the ones I have (if you are able to order from Amazon). They are a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

Ron I’m interested in adding ambient sound to various areas on my layout. Have you ever done this?
Where is the ice freezer? Every gas station has that. Also a trash can or two.
Those details will come when I get them.
You should check out his layout on his channel lol.
if only the prices was a digital display you could mess with someone on putting it at 9.99
