Thank you Felicia, this sounds like a great idea! I’ll be subscribing to the weaving channel-I’m an everyday knitter who has a floor loon sitting in the living room as part of the furniture for too many years now-time to get that warp on!❤
Just followed your weaving channel. The algorithm is a fickle beast, so as much as it siloes different content, having all the weaving stuff together is a great idea.

Thank you for sharing your struggles with us and how you came to the decision about different ways to share content and your enthusiasm. You have energized me for the future
I am a multi crafter as well, although the last few years my focus is on knitting. My problem, what should I do next, weave, sew, quilt, spin, dye, design, so many wonderful things. I’ll be following all of your channels. Thanks.
As the owner of multiple large and smaller loom and knitting machines as well as a looper, multiple sewing machines, a serger, an extensive collection of hand knitting paraphernalia, and a good stash of dyes, I guess I, too, could be considered a multicraft maker. I just like making things, be it clothing, furnishings, furniture or food. And I love all the machines and tools. Enjoy your approach and I look forward to your multi-channel approach. I hope you find enough hours in the day for it all!
I have enjoyed your sharing the different fiber arts techniques. I am a multicrafter and love learning as much as possible to refine my skills. Through your TH-cam channel I have learned soooo much. Thank you for continuing to want to share your fiber journey. I’ll be watching both channels.
Multicraftual is the word I didn't know I needed until you popped up in my feed this morning! I'm a crocheter - among other things - who has a bad case of knit envy. I think this video maybe showed up because I'm inching closer to (once again) beginning the process of learning to knit. Yes, that is exactly how things work for me.
As a multi crafter, I appreciate your dedication to sharing all your content so thoughtfully. Even though I’m not a big weaver, I have followed your posts just to see all the lovely things you create.
Great ideas! I love the CSM videos and am trying to collect patterns and ideas of things as well as socks that I can also make with mine...scarves, hats, baby things etc...
Thank you for clearly expressing your thoughts - I think that having separate channels is a wonderful idea and I'm looking forward to learning so much more from you in the future!
I love the variety of videos you have shared. Because of you, I have tried spinning. I'm not good at it, but I am still trying. Because of you, I have tried loom knitting. I love it! Because of you, I want to try weaving, and bought a small rigid heddle loom. I love your channel, ideas, inspiration, and plethora of knowledge. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I am mainly a hand knitter but can also crochet, machine knit and a few other things. I am intrigued with weaving so will subscribe and follow your weaving channel also. Some people are great producers but my health limitations hold me back somewhat. (Oh, and no more space for new things. ☹️) I like to learn new things anyway, just in case right? So I will continue to enjoy watching your channel(s) and your variety of endeavours. Thank you Felicia.
Felicia, you have spoken to my multicraftual heart. In so many ways. You have inspired me to move ahead with what’s been in my own head, sharing all the things, even though I’m a knitwear designer. Thank you for sharing your heart! ❤
Your idea sounds like a good one. I love your enthusiasm. I love knitting and cross stitch and have too much I want to do in both crafts. I can't imagine adding another one, but I can see why people want to try and do it all. I hope this new way forward makes your life less stressful.
Hi Felicia, This was so helpful and we agree totally about the desire to share the joy of all things fiber arts! I (Michelle) met you briefly at H&H to tell you how inspiring you are (and have been) to us over the years. Thanks for all you do!💚
Thanks, sounds like a good plan because I probably am one of those who skip the weaving videos. I found your channel because you explained how to use knitting machines. I hand knit mostly socks but some sweaters. I enjoyed watching your videos about the circular sock machine and then got a LK150 to try it and really enjoyed it. I now have a brother, a Passap and the midgauge knitting machine. I have made socks on the brother that I like after having it just over a month. I just got the Passap a couple weeks ago and have failed to get a good cast on, but I will try again over the holidays when I have more time. The knitting machines are addictive!
I subscribed to your channel in the early days and I have noticed your videos don't pop up for me anymore. But this one did for some reason! Thank you so much for explaining the changes you've seen in the algorithm. It's something I noticed, but couldn't figure out what was going on. I'm glad you're separating the channels, because now you'll finally show up on my feed again. Thank you!
I am not a weaver, though it's interesting to see. I have enjoyed all the fiber content. I love to knit, by hand, on a flat bed knitting machine and a sock machine. I purchased a sock machine because of you. I love to spin, I have learned a lot watching all of your content. What I love the most is your passion for all fiber arts. You always motivate me and fuel my own passion for fiber. Moving the weaving to a separate channel is a great idea. I will follow anything you do. Who knows, maybe weaving is in my future.
Thank you Felicia. I'm multicraftual, with knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, dyeing, as well as sewing and quilting. I've learned so much from your TH-cam videos and School of Sweet Georgia, and look forward to learning more from your new weaving channels. I joined Discord, but haven't figured out how it works. Maybe a little tutorial would help some of us low tech people.
Thank you for being here and thank you for joining the SOS too! For sure, I think have a little Discord primer here sweetgeorgiayarns.com/how-to-join-the-sweetgeorgia-discord-server/ but let me know if you have questions and we can help!
Thank you for listing all the channels and Instagram addresses. I subscribe to channels but TH-cam never sends me anything. While I love all your content, including the crafts I don't do, I confess that my brain wants to categorize, so what you are doing makes perfect sense! Whatever works best for you is just fine, and will keep you happier and more effective in the long run. I'm a knitter, spinner, and wannabe weaver. Will the spinning/fiber prep content have it's own "section" or be incorporated into the other areas? Thank you so much for your hard work!
I was told once that "You have a powerful thirst for knowledge" Art..Flowers...Bees thats my thing. Knitting and all things wooly is an art. Art and all mediums are varied. Gardens are art. And bees? They make lovely honey and are fascinating to work with! Life is so complex. So good on you for expanding your love of art and sharing that knowledge!
I love your videos regardless what you talk about...that's the beauty of being multi-craftual. As for the knitting content, I would love to see more about steeking, double knitting and adapting patterns to fit your body.
I shall follow both channels. I don't always see the channels I subscribe to in my feed. So, I use the search bar to find the newest videos. I also subscribe to my favorites and have notifications set up so I am notified when there is a new video. Thank you for what you do!!!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents and passion with us. I admire your honesty and ability to adjust. I would love to see you try Yanov weaving which is a traditional double weaving in Yanov village, Poland. I'm so excited just to imagine what you come up with your weaving with all your amazing taste of colors!
Thank you so much, Felicia for taking this step. I am primarily a weaver and have gained so much from you. You are clearly wise about how to adjust and clearly a brilliant artist. I will most certainly subscribe to Sweet Georgia Weaving even though I have been weaving for about 40 years, there is always something new to learn from you and others. Or just enjoy seeing what you are doing.
Thank you so much for making this video. I had no idea that there was a Sweet Georgia school. I just had a quick look and I'm so impressed!!! I'll definitely be watching a bunch of those videos. There's quite a line up!
Right on!! Go for it. I especially love the weaving/spinning as that's my first foray, but truly do appreciate the rest. My problem is not the content, it's simply I haven't found a way to clone myself yet. lol... Time... the golden commodity!! Perhaps this will truly be the best way as it's going to funnel the viewers into a 'stream' of continuity. Best of luck!
Just followed your other channels. I am even more multicraftual than most. I knit, spin, weave, have knitting machines, though haven't used them in years (actually decades ago I used to teach machine knitting), have an ancient sock knitting machine. I also do a lot of other crafts, most to do with yarn or thread, but I also use my Cricut cutting machine to make dollhouse sized miniatures (not kid stuff, collectable things), do micro petit point, cross stitch, sew, quilt.... you name it and I likely either have done or still do.
I knew from the start your channel was multi-craftual, which I've always liked. I only knit and crochet, but I love learning about other crafts. I have no intention of ever spinning, but your channel helped me to see that if I ever choose to branch out to anything, it will be weaving. Oh, TH-cam... Heading over, of course. 😊
I have always sought out your content because you cover soooooo much with fiber art. I am a knitter, crocheter, weaver, spinner, and I recently was gifted a CSM so your channel was right up my alley. I will happily follow all of your channels going forward, you are fantastic. But I do have a desperate request. How about starting up a CSM channel, I struggle so much with mine. I would love more trouble shooting, tricks and tip with CSM.
I am totally multi-craftual and always love the idea of sharing it all! But I’m happy to see that you will have 2 separate channels and IG accounts! Yay for you!🎉
I love the idea of deeper dives into knitting. At the moment I am 90%knitter and do other artistic (ie painting sketching). Knitting for me is my go to relaxation hobby because i can do it anywhere (ok not underwater but 😅) and no cleanup. Maybe in retirement I’ll branch out or in a couple of years my daily landscape will change but for now knitting is it for me. And most importantly, I am a MUCH better knitter today than I was 10 years ago because of you all sharing your knitting and your knowledge and in turn I can pass that on to others and your channel. I tell all new knitters that ask me to teach them the secret to becoming a better knitter 1. Daily practice 2. TH-cam knitters. Thanks for the past 20 years of sharing Hige fan of ALL your doing ❤🎉🎉. Tonya
Thank you for this video! It is actually great to be reminded about the influence of the algorithms on our feed. I haven't had a Sweet Georgia vid pop up in ages!! I know I should comment on more and actually hit the like button so the algorithm understands what I want to see. (I will start doing that!) I love the multicraftual content and I think you have found a great way around it. Shame you had to - the algorithm isn't as clever as it thinks it is - hey? So, maybe a spinning channel too ;-)
I agree with you. Don't let the media platform dictate your passion. I love what you do and I too knit, crochet, weave, spin and hand dye. Oh and I also do felting!
❤ I love to follow your videos for years and love the variation and multicrafter ...I totally agree with you ..any of the subscribers I had join the do not come to my feed anymore ...I lost track of all the subcribed channel until I learn to go now only to my subscribe channels and that is I had to look for your channel again ... I dislike the logaritcs that you tube has now ..They push channels I don't follow n the ones I want to see they don't ... I will subscribe to any channel you open ...I love your format n classes ... I crochet and making yarn and dyeing, spinning but I like to see the weaving channel too !😊❤ I wish you all the success with your new journey ❤!😊
Bummer that computers are so dumb but we will follow 100 channels if we have to. Your videos are amazing even though I only hand knit and crochet I enjoy them all.
Following the new account! Brilliant idea - funny how the algorithm tries to be smart but it can’t make sense of some of the oldest crafts in the world (and the predecessor of the computer itself!) (I love idea of teaching others about weaving with knitting yarn-my friends have threatened to steal my woven blankets made of worsted weight wool!) -The Tall Weaver
I'm a multicrafter, not a weaver yet, but a fiber lover. I'll watch anything that has to do with fiber. And who knows, maybe I'll even have the you know what to start my own YT - eventually......
Thank you do much for sharing your passion and knowledge of fibre arts with us. Your videos are a joy to watch. I love hand knitting but recently inherited several Brother knitting machines. I am learning machine knitting and I would love to see more contents on machine knitting and tutorials. I am a subscriber of MKC knitting in the UK. There are a lot of machine knitters in the US but we don’t really have a strong community.
There will for sure be more machine knitting in 2025!! Excited to dive deeper into this too. I received an old Brother knitting machine from the 1960s that I want to refurbish, so that will be happening 😆
I’m a knitter, weaver, crocheter, and sewer. Occasionally I dye yarn. And I just started using a knitting machine and renewed my enjoyment of spindling. I appreciate all your crafts! So, I’ll follow your second channel too!
I'll definitely be joining you on the weaving channel, I bought my first (who doesn't have more than 1 loom?) rigid heddle loom after seeing one on your channel, I'd never heard of this type of loom and it was perfect for my space and pocket. I wanted to weave to use up all the leftover odds and ends from my knitting and I still use knitting yarn to weave with. I learnt to weave through TH-cam videos and now I've joined a guild, and been introduced to the joys of spinning. I have a spinning wheel but I really prefer to hand spin. I have 7 different types of spindles, and am having a Navajo made for me (so excited!). I am just starting to knit and weave with my hand spun which is giving me great satisfaction. I'd like to weave cloth on my rigid heddle to make clothes. That's my goal for next year.
You explained that so well ! I am not a knitter, or weaver, or any of the things you mention. Yours is a video that just showed up in my feed, and I was curious. I have listened to the entire video, and I am amazed how well you spoke for more than 10 minutes without any notes, it seemed like, so thoroughly yet concisely about this very complex issue with your channel I wish you all the best in the world.
Thank you so much for everything! Which channel will spinning content be on, or will we maybe get a Sweet Georgia Spinning channel?🤞🏼I found this channel last year during tour de fleece and love all the content.
Thanks for explaining how youtube works. I guess you may have to have many channels for each of the crafts that you do. Knitting, spinning, dyeing, weaving etc. A little more work on your part to separate your videos based. on the craft type. I enjoyed watching your content on making socks on a CSM.. Keep making the videos, but put them on different channels...
@@lisadriscoll6264 thank you for being a subscriber!!! Honestly, I’ve been trying to stay consistent with uploading every week! I hope you’ll get to see more of what we make in the future!
I have just followed the Instagram weaving page and I will look for your new you tube one too. I am and always have been multi-craftual, I sew, knit, crochet, bead and I now have a second knitting machine, as well as a rigid heddle loom and I love seeing what you are working on too! It seems like a lot more work, but if it helps to keep everything separate then you just need to see if it works.❤
I know your yarn Sweet Georgia…. I have never seen you on TH-cam! I did not know that you had a weaving podcast…. I might not notice as I am a knitter and would probably not be too interested in weaving. If you have an interesting knitting podcast I would check it out 😀
Your content is always so lovely. Love to hesr and to see all the crafts. Its a little bit sad that you cannot just your sparkling self in just one account. At the other hand, more content, yeah! Wish you great channels with lots of followers. ❤🎉🎉🥰
I’ve been following since I started knitting in 2008 or when u started producing yarn & I love everything u do. Even got to visit the shop 10 years ago or so. I’m glad uv found a solution but sorry it’s such a PITA. Multicraftuals get no respect ❤
Thank you!! That’s so exciting!! We will focus on sock knitting, CSM, and machine knitting here alongside all the hand knitting (and some crochet) here 💗
I have enjoyed watching your videos focusing on all the different fiber arts! Fiber arts are like potato chips, ya can't have just one! (Im a owner of looms, spinning wheels, a circular knitting machine and sheep!) I find you spinning on that lendrum beauty very meditative and relaxing. Will checkout the new weaving videos ... thanks! - Carolyn
Halfway through watching this and I’m thinking that this is all probably leading to an announcement that this channel is going to post all content unfiltered and that there will be many new channels made just for the purpose of reposting all of the specific craft categories in a way that will allow TH-cam to recommend the videos as if they were a playlist for specific crafts for people who don’t do all of the same crafts as you enjoy? If that’s the case it might be a good idea. But it’s late and hopefully I’ll remember to watch the rest of the video tomorrow to see how you’re actually going to handle the changing algorithms.
Thank you! Yes, long story short, I’m making a second TH-cam channel and Instagram account dedicated to weaving. We will still focus on knitting (plus a bit of machine knitting) here. There will be some crochet and spinning too. I appreciate you watching and sending your feedback! Thanks!
I love all of your content. But I have heard this same thing form several other people I follow. I think most of us understand the need for multiple channels. Do what works for you the rest of us will follow the channels that interest us.
Hi, I may not weave, machine knit, or hand dye yarn, but I like watching videos about different crafts. Heck, I watch videos and I am never going to build anything from wood from scratch. I would weave, machine knit and dye yarn before I would do any wool working. It's a shame you can't share all your passions on one channel. I will subscribe to your weaving channel too.
If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have gotten interested in hand weaving on circles to hang on the wall as decor & I wouldn't have spinning friends who give me their accidentally strangled skeins to use as fun texture. If it weren't for you, I'd still be intimidated by spinning and I wouldn't have gone to a spinning class and learned I can't use a standard spinning wheel and because of you, I would not own an electric spinner as a consequence (I'm still intimidated, but I made the first step). If it weren't for you I wouldn't own the collection of books I do on a wide variety of fiber topics. Please do still share the occasional interdisciplinary video and sprinkle in "what else am I working on" bits when talking about other things. But I absolutely get the algorithm.
I will be going to the other channel, but one thing. It's okay for you to complain about the algorithm. It's really bad. I have the language set to English but for some reason it seems to think that I want to see stuff in Hindi, Korean, Arabic, Chinese, and Hungarian. I watch spinning, weaving, and wood turning videos so I must be interested in scrapbooking, card making, and pottery. I also watch a lot of history videos and I'm glad that they have realized that I have no interest in UFOs because of that. There's no logic to it so don't drive yourself nuts trying to go along with it. They will change it and there will always be a new issue.
This is why I hate algorithms. I'm a curious person and enjoy exploring new things, I don't want to see the same thing over and over, which is what the algorithm continually tries to make me do.
I, as a knitter, enjoy your weaving reflections so I'll follow along. That being said, the start of this video feels.... disingenuous. I know you are Canadian, but you also know a lot of your customers are in the US. And the start of the video felt like it was referencing perhaps political views or other things that are having to do with the current US political landscape. It was more emotional, even knowing how deeply you care, than I expected for a business decision that many creators are making. If it wasn't on purpose, fine. If it was, please consider not using the emotional turmoil for length of video watching.
If you had not done the multi-craftual videos I would never have realized I was interested in other fibre arts. I hope your sharing does the same thing for others in the future.

I’m sure you’ll figure it out!! As long as we know your name we will follow ❤
I love your videos regardless what you talk about...that's the beauty of being multi-craftual.
As for the knitting content, I would love to see more about steeking, double knitting and adapting patterns to fit your body.
I think this is a great idea. I look forward to watching both of the channels.
I am really happy that you make a new channel about weaving!!
I love it all!!! The only thing your missing is Felting...lol
Ooh yes! FELTING!
Ahhh hahahahah yes! One of our SweetGeorgia team started a channel for felting! You can find him at @hoiarts (youtube.com/@hoiarts)
Right on!!
Yes yes and yes! Sewing and quilting are part of my world too! Love it all. Thanks for being here!
It is because of you that I am both a knitter and weaver! I will see you on both channels!!
I love what you
do and I too knit, crochet, weave, spin and hand dye. Oh and I also do felting!
I am primarily a knitter and spinner!
The algorithm strikes again! I applaud you for embracing reality rather than wish for what it’s not!
Bummer that computers are so dumb but we will follow 100 channels if we have to. Your videos are amazing even though I only hand knit and crochet I enjoy them all.
Thank you for supporting our channels!! ☺️💗
Following the new account! Brilliant idea - funny how the algorithm tries to be smart but it can’t make sense of some of the oldest crafts in the world (and the predecessor of the computer itself!)
(I love idea of teaching others about weaving with knitting yarn-my friends have threatened to steal my woven blankets made of worsted weight wool!)
-The Tall Weaver
Thank you so much for following the new channel!! Hoping to spread more love for weaving! Will be watching your channel too! ✨
I'm a multicrafter, not a weaver yet, but a fiber lover. I'll watch anything that has to do with fiber. And who knows, maybe I'll even have the you know what to start my own YT - eventually......
Love it! Yes!!! Go for it
Thank you do much for sharing your passion and knowledge of fibre arts with us.
I love it all! Keep going, I watch them all!!!!
Thank you! I will be watching your knitting. I like all the other crafts but don’t always want to hear about them. I am a knitter!!
@@ginandpins6081 amazing!! What a journey, right?! Love hearing how one thing led to another
That's frustrating. I'm sorry. ❤
@@goatladygletha792 thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to share!! I appreciate your kindness
Thank you so much for everything! Which channel will spinning content be on, or will we maybe get a Sweet Georgia Spinning channel?🤞🏼I found this channel last year during tour de fleece and love all the content.
I love all the multicraftual fiber beautifulness. Subscribing to the other accounts but staying on this one too because I love it all ❤
I love all your content! It's truly inspired me in my fiber journey
Thank you for sharing your heart with us. I appreciate you.
where/which channel will you do more of the spinning ideas?
I so feel this!!! Also in BC ❤
I will follow all the channels I guess!
Ah yes! I never see your feed even though I'm subscribed. Weaving with hands-on would be great
Felicia, thank you for sharing your heart and passion. Was wondering, Will you have a special content for crocheting?
Oh yes, I am enjoying crochet and will share what I learn here as well!
Congrats! I am a subscriber and haven’t seen a thumbnail in feed for months. I am disappointed with the algorithm changes.
@@lisadriscoll6264 thank you for being a subscriber!!! Honestly, I’ve been trying to stay consistent with uploading every week! I hope you’ll get to see more of what we make in the future!
Is there a link to the new channel that I'm not seeing?
@@alanhaenni yes! It’s at youtube.com/@sweetgeorgiaweaving thank you!!
Thank you so much!! Yes! We have lots in common! I’m hoping this works 🤞💪
Thank you so much!
@@sweetgeorgia 💕
I’ve been following since I started knitting in 2008 or when u started producing yarn & I love everything u do. Even got to visit the shop 10 years ago or so. I’m glad uv found a solution but sorry it’s such a PITA. Multicraftuals get no respect ❤
Let’s go! 🎉❤❤❤
I just bought an Erlbacher!!! Who'da thunk it, huh? (I just learned about this from - YOU!).
Which space will focus on sock knitting??
THANK YOU!!!!
Will checkout the new weaving videos ... thanks! - Carolyn
Right?! The fibre arts … can’t have just one 🤣 exactly! Thanks for watching my videos ☺️
Makes total sense to me!!
I’m so excited!!!!
Thanks for all the enthusiasm!!
@ I’m happy to provide it!! There is so much to be enthusiastic about!! 😁
I like almost all the stuff you do, but I'd love more weaving. That's my current obsession.
Thanks! I'm excited to share more about weaving with you all!
I've subscribed and watched 2 of the videos. Very excited about this. There is so little weaving content on TH-cam. Now, off to weave some more. 😂
Thanks so much for your support! I appreciate it! If I had time and resources I would love to do woodworking too 🤣🤣🤣
I look forward to following your new channel 🙌 I’ve searched but can’t find it, maybe it is not live yet?
Oh yes it’s here youtube.com/@sweetgeorgiaweaving
@ thank you very much 😃
If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have gotten interested in hand weaving on circles to hang on the wall as decor & I wouldn't have spinning friends who give me their accidentally strangled skeins to use as fun texture.
I’m glad this isn’t political. I was fearful that it was going to be. Thankful that it’s not.
The algorithm doesn't "try" to make you do anything. It doesn't care what you watch. It tailors to your watch history.
@@DawnBurn I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to suggest anything political. This is purely a feeling I’ve been having about craft content! Sorry!
