The mics y'all use are so good that these videos tend to have very ASMR type moments in them. All the things being set down on the table, the sound of the cord hitting the table, the little 'ting' of the glass dappen dish being struck, products being opened, even Kirsty's voice sometimes all sound so nice to an ASMR lover like me lol. I know this has nothing to do with nails but it's something I've noticed with the Kirsty & Adam team from years back. Edit; I share a birthday with John Lennon!
😂😂 I remember that one! I'm still of the opinion that the nail would have went to its watery grave before I would have put my hand into pee going after it 😂
Fay is my favourite and she's got beautiful tan and hands and I hope one day soon Kisty and Adam can come to Sydney Australia love her and her beautiful work
I had so much trouble watching the filing 😩 because I’ve been injured by several nail techs! They tell me it’s because nails are very thin. It is so difficult to find a truly skilled pro.
This is so important for all of us nail techs to see and learn. You’re just not taught everything during your training. Sometimes, life experiences are your greatest teachers. Thank you Kirsty for showing us this. Now I know how to repair my client’s nail, and I know that this is something that ALL nail techs will experience. Kirsty, you are an amazing teacher. I’ve learned so much from you.
Fabulous Fay getting her fabulous nails fixed. That's great this happened so the one's that don't know what to do will. This is been so helpful thank you. Happy Birthday fabulous Fay and a early Happy Birthday to J. 🥰💖💖💖🤗
Such a good video. I like that you show how to fix a design without redoing a whole nail. This is such a great tutorial. I think a lot of people might panic with such repairs and an intricate design and length. Very good information!
Fay NEVER has cracks.. I had a feeling this was gonna happen bc when you were doing them it looked like the apex was suuuuper little then what fay usually gets with her looong nails.. That's right where my nails break if i accidentally make them to thin.. 3 nails broke on one hand one time so i NEVER made that mistake again lol i tried to make my nails like you see on IG.. Like super thin bc i thought i was doing them to thick.. Boy was i wrong lol learned my lesson the hard way lol went back to my usual thickness and never had a problem again lol thanks for sharing hun 😘😘
Stiletto isn’t the strongest shape in general since the sidewalls are so tapered, so it was more likely to break *anyway*, BUT Fay also types for a living and she uses the tips of the nail to do it 🥰 the downward pressure would cause the stress cracks. As you say, Kirsty normally does use a higher apex on Fay but I think it would have made the nails less streamlined looking if she had used the Faypex lol. They weren’t major breaks or cracks (as in, the nail didn’t totally break off and her natural nail is perfectly fine/no pocket lifts) so the structure actually held up really well 🤓 I think I’d prefer them to look aesthetically better with a normal apex rather than a Faypex, and just be more careful with them, than thicken them up to be bulletproof 🤓
Hi Kristy love watching your channel I have acrylic on my nails and I was washing my pressure cooker and I turned for the dish towel and the pressure cooker pot slipped and it ripped my nail product into my flesh I managed to keep a plaster on for about 3 half days and it was literally like hanging on a bit of my natural nail so what I did was I checked where the rip was and I used a nail clipper and it came off what a relief that was now I am using thymol you are so good with your work sending love from South Africa
Thank you! ❤️ I honestly thought no nail you created would crack or break. And I mean that in a complimentary way! Your nail creations are perfect! And while I’m not saying anything you did caused these cracks, it gives me hope. And makes me realize that no matter how careful I try to be, sometimes these things happen. Because we all know how meticulous you are with your clients. So thank you again for this video! 🥰❤️😘
I’m so excited…it’s my birthday tomorrow the 16th…but I’m getting my jelly top coats and my acrylic brush finally…it’s all still in the packaging from you guys…I’m so excited…look out tomorrow everyone here will have jelly top coat on their nails…lol…🥳🥳🥳🥰🥰🥰
I love your channel so much. I watched you and Adam from the first debut of Kirsty and Adam on the channel that shall not be named. I was delighted by your talent and enthusiasm for creating nails. You were a bit stiff like a deer frozen.in the beam of headlights, but I was so mesmerized by your talent and artistry that I didn't care what you were doing!! I just wanted to learn the Kirsty way!!! The other woman who was here before you seemed really nice. However she put me to sleep. So I've been a big fan since you came into my view. Adam, Kirsty, Fay..... ooh!ooh! Fays nails were amazing!! How is her baby doing, and how is Fay doin with a baby? I'm glad you're all still here. Thank you all for making my nails best in my town. I love you all!!!
I've always preferred to use builder or hard gel on my own nails, because I don't care for the smell of acrylic chemicals. While on vacation recently, I actually went to a salon, where they did an acrylic set for me. After seeing the tech working up close, I can see why many of them choose to do acrylic. It just looks so easy to work with. I still don't like the smell, though. So, I think I'll put more practice in with my polygels. Mad respect for nail techs who do it right!
Same. I want to try acrylic but since I do my nails at home, I don’t want it to smell like a nail salon. They have low odor and no odor monomers but again, never used them. I do builder gel but I love watching people work with acrylics.
Have a question for the Kirsty team has Fay ever tried doing a set acrylic nails on her own? If she hasn't would you all be willing to let her try on Kirsty's channel? I bet she would be pretty good at it after watching Kirsty so these years. Also it's kinda crazy me and my daughter share a birthday with Fay and Kirsty and of course Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow's. Lol we are both fans of Kirsty and Fay's. Well actually my daughter, my 4 granddaughters and I all watch you guys together. So thank you for all the years of making these videos!! Oh one last thing Happy really Late Birthday Fay! 🎂 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 🎂
Do you have any videos on temporary nails? The best brands? I have a job that does not allow nails, so I can only wear them on weekends. Would be good to find out which brands are the best.
I had a very bad customer the other day. She claimed her toe nails went off called me bunch of names. I offer her a Free Application again and still she offended me. I believe all of us had go through the same bad customers some times 😭
Fay is a PA and she types at a computer all day 🤓☺️ The direct downward pressure goes to the natural stress point which is where the free edge of the natural nail and the extension meets (ie. Where a tip or form joins onto the natural nail). Repeated stress on the area from typing, or accidentally knocking the nail against something, can cause hairline cracks. It’s more likely to happen the longer the nail is, and the flatter the apex. To help prevent it, concentrate your product at the stress area and make your apex appropriate to the length of the nail (unless it looks crazy lol). Sometimes it’s unpreventable like with Fay’s nails 🤓 Her job and the fact she loves them ultra long make them likelier to crack. They’re usually not a problem but stiletto nails are always a bit weaker anyway, so now and again, you’ll maybe have to do a repair or two 🤓☺️
Why not just do a new set? I understand that repair is a time saver but she needs a fill and knowing Fay she will be back in a few days for a new set lol
Fay needs her own playlist
That is my youngest son’s birthday, Faye I knew I loved you for a reason ❤️🥰

Well, at least she didn't have to reach into loo to retrieve a broken nail. This repair is much calmer.
😂😂 I remember that one! I'm still of the opinion that the nail would have went to its watery grave before I would have put my hand into pee going after it 😂
My birthday is June 9th too! I can't believe I share a birthday with THE FAMOUS FABULOUS FAY!!!! OMG!!!!!!!
It's Faye! Who wouldn't love it! These are my favorite nails!
Fay is my favourite and she's got beautiful tan and hands and I hope one day soon Kisty and Adam can come to Sydney Australia love her and her beautiful work

Was this because the Fay-pex was too low for the length this time?
Agree
😄
The fay-pex 😂😂😂😂😂
This is the best comment ever 😂

Now that's a seamless repair! We can only hope that Prada can do as good a job with your bag! (Or not, I suppose, so you can get that new phone case😉)
The design is absolutely stunning on this set
This was great to see. I have a cracked nail. Now I know how to fix it. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Love the nails. Thanks Kirstie

That was a great video. I’ve had cracks like that and never knew what to do with them without taking of the whole nail
Wow Fay is lucky hers grow slowly...I have to do mine every 2 weeks as the regrowth is so obvious. I love this design.💗🧡💜
Same. I envy people whose nails grow slowly lol

Did she have cracks because the apex was too small for the longer nails?

@@MakeupMobster it really is satisfying to watch someone working with acrylic. 🤤
@@CooleyHighsmith I love when it just like melts into the nail. So satisfying
As a nail tech educator I can promise you that acrylic is not easier than gel. Gel is by far easier 💕
I share a birthday with Angus Young lead guitarist from AC/DC
That is some skill to fix that ❤

Brilliant work xxx
Happy birthday Fay and Jay!
Is this because she doesn't have a "Faypex" as high as she used to? X
Happy late Birthday Fay!
Babe your eyes look soooo fkn good hunny!!!
I love watching Fay videos but I miss the ones where she picks all the colors.
very helpful thank you Kirstie- is it similar for hard and soft gel?
Great fun video ❤️
My daughter Alyssa is 18th July too, my Dad is the same as the Queens real birthday and I’m the same as Kylie Jenner lol
Does the consistency or wetness of the repair bead matter? Like do you want it to seep into the crack?
Do you have any videos on temporary nails? The best brands? I have a job that does not allow nails, so I can only wear them on weekends. Would be good to find out which brands are the best.
I would do press ons with the glue tabs instead of the glue itself ❤️
is this because of the product, has faye hit her nails and didn’t remember, or is the faye-pex not high enough?
Omg Fay and I have the same birthday! We also share it with Natalie Portman haha
Thanks💛💚💛💚
🤩🤩
Dr precision!!! Suprised ur promoting another brand?
I had a very bad customer the other day. She claimed her toe nails went off called me bunch of names. I offer her a Free Application again and still she offended me. I believe all of us had go through the same bad customers some times 😭
Bravo super magnifique gros bisous de la France bisous martine 👍👍👏👏💅💅😘❤💋⚘🥀🌹❤💋🌹🇨🇵🇨🇵💐🌹🌹🌹
What I would love to know is how many cracks were found by Faye and how many by you Kirsty 🤭
🤩🤩🤩🤩
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but the intro music is missing …
How do the cracks happen?

Where is Adam? I didn't hear him in the background. Your videos ain't complete if Adam ain't in the background, chatting. ☹️
It looks like your face is sunburn
