Michel is 5'11 220 lbs so Michel is 1 inche taller and 1 lb smaller. LT ran a 4.43 and Michel ran a 4.46 at pro day. LT 18 reps of 225. Michel 22 reps of 225 so he stronger. Both ran 4.21 on 20 yard shuttle. Both LT and Michel played 4 years. But LT was handed the starting role faster then Michel. So what were they college stats? LT played 45 games had 943 carries for 5387 yards, 5.7 avg per carry, 56 TDs, 43 rec for 267 yard and no TDs. LT had 986 plays for 5654 yards from scrimmage with an average of 5.7 yards from scrimmage Now lets Look at SM aka Sony Michel. Michel played in 47 games had 590 carries for 3613 yards an 6.1 yard avg per carry for 33 TDs. Michel also had 64 rec for 621 yards and 6 TDs. Michel had 654 plays for 4234 yards from scrimmage an avg of 6.5 from scrimmage a d 39 total career TDs So when I say Sony Michel is the closet thing to LT im not off nor crazy. The only differences between the two are games played sony play 2 more games, carries LT had 353 more carries then Michel, yards LT hard 1774 more yards then Michel, avg per carry Michel had 6.1 LT 5.7, TDs LT had 23 more then Michel, yards from scrimmage LT has 1420 yards more then LT. So lets give Sony Michel those 353 more carries and he is either on LT stats or pass it and i say pass it Im sorry this so long but i had to make the point and the film dont lie they both are great at making ppl miss in space and being explosive home run hitters
Sony also shared the backfield with another Great back his entire career at Ga. Great comparison but as a GA fan one thing i know if Sony was a different back his senior year. He put in some insane work between the 2016 and 2017 season and it showed his senior year. Him and Chubb were dominate in the 2017 season. Turnovers and sacks never let them get going against auburn in the regular season but as a tandum they dominated everyone else until alabama where chubb couldnt get anything and sony was earning good yardage. Special player for sure both in mentality and work ethic as well as his physical ability.
