It really is and at full rip I was very surprised at how straight and stable it was granted if I cranked the wheel left or right it definitely would have flipped but dang very surprised Side note the MJX10208 way different animal 👍💯
Looks like a promising rc for sure. I like the fact it has that trainer mode. If the shock towers aren’t integrated into the chassis it is already better than the grom. It’s funny you mention radio shack because that’s where it started for me, but I can remember going to the hobby shop as a kid and begging for the on road gas 1/5 scale on the top shelf not having a clue what it was. Funny how certain things strike vivid memories
Man I have no complaints about the jetwood. But my grom with a $45 brushless setup and of course the new diffs they come with now, which I had to purchase because I got mine earlier. Also metal axles. And my granite grom does 54 mph all day on 3s hasn’t broke anything in 4months other than the body. Those little groms are tough after u spend about $100 on em so yes a little pricey but they both put big smiles on my face!! Both great for skate park bashin. Matter of fact. The tires from the jetwood make the grom a lot more stable. To me the tires from granite grom needed to be just a tad bigger and they would have been perfect. I’m not gonna say either is better than the other…. Conclusion. No. Not really. Like em both for different reasons, but I’m kinda on a 1/10 scale over powered kick rn too.
@@rcguygarage 😂 yeah they was pretty quick for 6 double A batteries lmao 😂 Oh and I had a blue Toyota Tacoma RC think it was from toys R Us , that thing supposedly did 22 miles an hour, but who knows for sure we didn’t have gps units 😂
Good thing it had all the S's 😄 I still have my Tamiya Frog and Original 87 Clod Buster with the Chevy Bowtie grill they got in trouble for. I guess my parents stored them in a closet while I was in the Army some 20 years later I got them back I still dont remember how lol but I still have them. The little Amazon cars are not bad you get everything needed to run except some aa batteries, and its not the best but not bad I think they are more fun than the groms I will say I feel the Arrma Grom stuff is better built but not as fast fun or cheap. The key is if you break it you can get parts our old Radio Shack stuff it was in the trash. Dang that little rc is fast!!
Yeah I was out of the house at 16 by my own choice. And I hate the fact that my memory does not allow me to remember what happened to all that stuff I will say one of the things that became more important were girls 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 oh and REAL cars
@@rcguygarage lol mee too my forst car was a 69 Camaro not a nice Yenko 😎but it was thought to be an SS by the x code but that wasnt proof it had a built small block sure lucky I am still here all the dumb stuff I did in that car weekend street races in certain areas of Tampa we could get some serious speed over the bridges especially when I cracked an axle housing and the only rear end I could find had a 256 gear that gave me some top end lol
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife Yeah my other 69 is an xcode d80 bright package but that one hasn't seen the light of day now 30 + years 😂🤣😂🤣 because at the moment it's a shell and boxes of parts 😳😜
I got the older style and it was pretty quick but don't think it's as fast as that one mine didn't have that 5button push esc I was gonna buy that esc and put it in mine see if it's any different in speed....
I believe hobby grade RC is any RC that the manufacturer supports with replacement parts. You could go one step further and say that a hobby grade rc is any model that has aftermarket part support. If Tamiya is hobby grade, then MJX certainly is as well.
@@rcguygarage I really wanted to try one out, I'm a big Fan of MJX, as well as Traxxas, Arrma, Losi, Etc, I own most of the Traxxas and Arrma line ups, however, the MJX & Equivalent lineups are so much fun as well, I would have liked the upgraded Version.
Would you say that it's faster than the MJX Hyper Go H14BM? I know it's basically the same thing, only rebranded 100 times over 😂 they ain't bad little cars! They just absolutely suck to work on! And the Hyper Go H14BM has a delay in the transmitter as you obviously know 👍🤙
I wouldn't really say it's any faster I can't remember what the max speed was on pavement for the other one but I will say it has its positives and negatives there's usually always a give and take for something It definitely drives laser straight on full rip
That little thing is freakin' rocket! 😂🚀Great video brother 💯 🤜 🤛 🔥
46 mph laser straight isn't too bad 👍💯
Just picked one up, can’t wait to rip it up. Btw I loved the rant about GoPro ahaha
What a ripper!

For what it is it's surprising. And I like hearing about past young memories of where the interest potentially started 👍💯
Fast little truck!
It is👍💯
turbo hopper guy here too haha, first hobby grade was a Blackfoot. most recernly a Typhon owner
Got to tell you the turbo hop of back then was the best creation ever and then they came up with the 9.6 volt rechargeable version 😜
@@rcguygarage I loved that thing. Of course before the rechargeable version it was batteries, which as a kid I never had money for.

I've got the MJX 10208 coming up soon that thing is a shocker for what it is.
Yes I had a tyco turbo hopper , and I had the red Nikko turbo panther lol 😂 then my first hobby grade was a Kyusho Raider 2wd
Turbo hopper back in the day was the best

74 kph is 45 mph
It's a ripper
So mjx 14bm or jetwood which should i choose

@@rcguygarage Is that the new release from mjx

still have my 2 ultima turbo's and my rc 10.
Now THAT'S cool
They coming out with the mojave grom it has the same price point and it's more durable
More interested in the 14209 offering for better scale track racing/bashing.

Boom🎉 rip it
Guy it ripped nice
From what i have seen...Hobby grade means there are parts available.
Totally. There are all sorts of upgrades. I've got a whole day set up putting all the stuff I got for my wl144010 for not much money.
I used a 3s 80c hoovo and got 49.6

@rcguygarage keep up the awesome videos man!
I bought 3 of these, returned all 3, they advertised upgraded aluminum steering components and hex screws, none of the 3 I ordered had either.
You ordered three of this exact one from Jetwood? Yeah I don't know guy sounds like some quality warehouse packing going on
