- Is Grindr pronounced grinder or grin dur. Personally couldn't care less. Other people do though and they may not like explaining how they know they're right. Best chance at survival is just to sit down and shut up. You lost. Or that's what my coworker did. I personally like the "That's how I met your dad" defense. I'm always looking for a way to troll people. If you work on your vocabulary a lot, study a thesaurus, and practice what you've learned in time you can tell someone to "commence with their self-gratifying solitary fornication then proceed to Tartarus to dine along the lovely river Styx" and if done so courteously and with some more flowery words not only will they thank you for the suggestions but they'll express great joy in their impending vacation.
