10 reasons why you shouldn't open a food truck. He says there's always pros and cons to owning a food business. The best thing about the food truck industry is that it's cheap, he says. Damien has been in the food industry for over 30 years. The weather plays a big role in whether you're going to be profitable or not.
Food trucks can fluctuate from day to day, and that could make a big problem when you're trying to be profitably sustainable. The food truck industry is growing at a faster rate than other industries. Food truck business can be a little tricky because of permits and licensing, licensing, confusion, confusion over permits and licenses and different types of business sizes. Profit margin is something that you may not realize it's not as much as you thought, or because spoilage can offset any profits. Employee turnover is the biggest problem for food truck businesses.
The profit margin may not be as much as you thought it would be, says owner of food truck company. Unprepared events can lead to poor customer service and low sales at a food truck business. If you're unprepared for an event, that's a big problem too. Finding employees who are trustworthy is another problem. If you don't have enough food to feed your customers, you'll have to pack up and call it a day.
. She says you need to have some food industry experience if you want to be successful. Her advice Get some experience before you even get into it. If you are not up for working at least 12 to 13 hours or 14 hours, she says. If you think that running a food truck is going to put a hundred thousand dollars in your pocket a month, when you first start, you need to think again, or just stick to the job that you're doing, says food truck owner.
If you're looking to get rich, either play the lottery or get a six figure paying job, but it's not going to happen with the food truck. Here are 10 reasons why you shouldn't open a food truck business. If these helped you out, understand the pros and the cons of course.

Hi, I actually own a food truck & I would like to say that these are just things people should know before opening a food truck but it should definitely not discourage you from opening your truck. Theres a lot of pro’s.
    1. low start up cost
    2. Opening a restaurant is EXPENSIVE if you dont have enough money for a restaurant and want to start building a name for yourself a food truck is definitely the route to go
    3. Flexibility to be able to take your business to any city
    4. You are a mobile marketing sensation everywhere you drive people are seeing your name it is easy for them to pull out their phone and follow you on IG
    5. You don’t need staff right off the bat you can work your business yourself in the beginning until you work your way up
I think this video is discouraging, the weather is not a reason to not open a food truck. Because when the weather is bad your traffic in a store is slow too. So please entrepreneur give it a try!

I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app

I started out with a hot dog cart 3 years ago and it's been very profitable. I'm going to expand to a bigger food trailer next year and I'm excited about it. I don't want a food truck because if it breaks down I'm out of business, with a trailer if my truck breaks down I can always rent a truck to tow my food trailer and I'm still good to go while my truck is in the shop!

    • @MarketingFoodOnline

THESE are great points actually carts are alot less to maintain and easier to get around great point, and can be multiplied to operate 3 or 4 at the same time with simple help hiring someone to run the cart at multiple locations smaller investment as well.

Yes and no let me clarify, depending on the event some events being large and full of customers yes the potential is Huge for profit, but many food truck operators have to be persistent and patient in the goal of the food truck being a long-term business and reap huge profits, also aside from many factors like food costs , revenue, markup etc. you could or could not become rich. Well what he was doing, was showing negatives to owning a food truck because he mainly focuses on the positives on his channel. There will be negatives whether u open a food truck or brick&mortar but I would say that a food truck is easier, it helps you get clientele by being able to move around your city and it's a lot less money to maintain monthly basis.

    • @bensgalley1368
      @bensgalley1368 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@joelcharlemagne1581 well I know that the reality is there's a downside to anything we do but I think having a brick and mortar location would make it a little bit easier because I wouldn't have to worry about vehicle maintenance and all that stuff added on top of all my other problems and best of all my plan is to start a food stand build a reputation and make the restaurant but helps if you have a reputation in this business everyone try to make McDonald's but they ain't going to know the mom and pop place so you got to have a name and give them a reason or to consider you over the choking puke they already know
