@@Edgar-be2fo Brock's first rumble win, Batista's first rumble win & Triple H's first were all well deserved. Their respective 2nd Rumble wins not so much.
6th Grade I got to order WM17, did the family dishes for a month to earn it. Can’t believe all these years later it’s considered the greatest WM of all time 🙌
Props for earning it, I just got lucky it was my first PPV WM, also lucky my first PPV period was Summer Slam 2000 so I got to see TLC from the start excluding the WM 2000 Ladder match that helped invent it
No 1 - you keep forgetting this was a JBL who in his 9 month title reign had overcome extreme odds and the likes of Eddie, Booker T, Undertaker, and Big Show. Cena on the other hand had struggled to decisively beat RVD, Kenzo Suzuki, Rene Dupree, Carlito, Booker T, Undertaker, Batista and even Orlando Jordan over the past year. You always would think JBL would find a way to overcome Cena as well at Mania, and the ante was upped 10 fold in the I quit match that JBL dominated a good portion of. This was all long before the super Cena days.
Mankind and Undertaker have already established themselves as a hard hitting rivalry and ya’ll thought their Hell in a Cell match wasn’t supposed to work?!?! With all due respect, disagree =P
Neither of them thought it would work. You can even watch their recently published interview on it. They thought it was impossible to follow Taker/Michaels in the cell from 1 year prior, and to quote Taker, not due to any lacking on Foley's part. They just saw that as the match we talk about today.
It was 1998, I was only 7 years old- Mike Tyson was the featured guest referee in a Stone Cold vs Shawn Michaels wrestlemania match, and I “watched” it on an old plasma screen tv with black & white frizzy lines (I couldn’t see the images I could only hear everything.) Great times in the Attitude Era I swear.
It wasn't billed as a big deal, because Patterson was often on-screen as a suited official, but it was actually so he could help lead L.T. through spots if he forgot them, as he was a lead booker at the time...
The craziest thing about Foley v. 'Taker is that, despite Mick being absolutely out of it after the match (and even during), he still insisted he could go onstage to interfere with the main event like he'd been booked to do.
He really wasn't. His matches were good because he either worked with tremendous talent or stayed well within his wheelhouse of taking crazy bumps with sloppy brawling. Don't get me wrong I love me some Shane O'Mac and his matches were wildly entertaining. However, his technical wrestling skills were bare bones so carrying an awful in ring talent like Vinnie Mac to a great match seemed unlikely. They kinda pulled a Cornette vs Paul E style of match where they just brawled convincingly by actually laying it in.
@@night6724 Technical wrestling has nothing to do with work rate. Shane's work just wasn't smooth and his move set was very limited. Shane wasn't a full time wrestler and it showed. He did have good psychology and cool spots.
Wow I forgot there was a moment where the spinner and Gold 02 Undisputed belt co existed and shoulda remained so just like Austin’s Smokin Skull (Cena wins the title~ it comes back) and you could still keep the spinner for Edges Rated R spoof & Miz’s flipped W otherwise back to the 2002 beauty…. We had that spinner for longer then the 3 prior belts
The problem is they rarely do this in the last twenty years. More misses than hits. It IS getting better now so that's a plus, but that's mostly because Vince is out and they have competition they need to beat so they can't rest on their laurels.
The biggest pop of the (according to many) greatest Mania of all time is Linda McMahon standing up out of a chair...🤣🤣
Del Rio winning The 2011 Royal Rumble was one of the worst Rumble endings ever.
You know it’s the Royal Rumble when all the hype and expectations lead to the inevitable deflation and disappointment, every single year
To be fair, there was no one else who could've won it at that time.
Not as bad as Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Batista and Triple H
@@Edgar-be2fo Brock's first rumble win, Batista's first rumble win & Triple H's first were all well deserved. Their respective 2nd Rumble wins not so much.
Del Rio being poised at the next top guy was just a disastrous decision. Like yes, we all want a tanned JBL 🙄 with less charisma
The fact that he called the other Triple H vs Shawn Michaels matches "snoozers" pretty much destroyed his credibility as a wrestling analyst.
Their original match at SS 2002 may have been their best performance together, but I don't recall any HBK vs HHH match ever being a 'snoozer'. 🙄🤦♂️
Facts. Not one match they had was a snooze

A similar thing happened with myself and ordering WrestleMania 19, almost ten years later I used my taxes and went to WrestleMania 28. Great times.
Props for earning it, I just got lucky it was my first PPV WM, also lucky my first PPV period was Summer Slam 2000 so I got to see TLC from the start excluding the WM 2000 Ladder match that helped invent it
Vinces X-7 wrestling attire is far more memorable than it should be hahaha
Sami Zayn & Johnny Knoxville Wrestlemania 38
Good point about the LT match, in celebrity matches the WWE performer and referee are doing the majority of the work to make a celeb look tough.
FACTS
So I guess you could do better than LT a NFL legend.
I was shocked to see Goldberg squash Lesnar. Seeing how tough Lesnar is, I didn’t think anybody could squash him in a match.
FACTS
I was surprised that Brock was willing to take that lose too
Brock Is a Business man. He doesn't care about wins and losses in the world of wrestling. He gets upward of $13 mil to wrestle for 10 to 20 mins.
It was the only way to book it. Give Goldgerg the victory, then follow up with Brock victory
He can't wrestle only have had squash matches his whole career . Bret tried to wrestle him once and ended up loosi g is career for it

It was odd the cabinet didn't interfere in some capacity.
Hated jbl at the the time but seeing him lose to fan favorite cena was awesome, and that I quit match was a banger
Heyman said it best. Goldberg. Squashing Brock was brilliant. No one else could have done that and make it believable.
WeeLC match. Everyone treated it like a joke, but was one of the best matches of its era (and was the free match of PPV)
Actually it was the best match of that night too.
Logan Paul vs Roman was a match that had no reason to be as good as it was even if we knew Logan was gonna lose!
I would have loved it even more if you went over Hogan vs McMahon wm19 but either way great picks
My favourite celebrity match has got to be probably Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest at this year's Backlash ple
mines to mann it was such a banger

The best part of the 40 man Royal Rumble is they pretty much never did it again. It was a bad idea then and still is now.
I remember Bam Bam Bigelow match with Lawrence Taylor, but don't remember Pat Patterson being referee.

Mayweather vs Big Show
Kid vs Hart is in my top RAW matches of all time, as a kid that was the match I would always point to when people said wrestling sucked
Why does WC hate Shane McMahon? He was a good wrestler when he was younger.
It's probably because of his more recent actions in the company. Very puzzling booking of himself and putting himself over way too much.

He did main event a WrestleMania and got a big payday at least.
Rock hogan no one saw that coming

Favorite celebrity match is easily drew carey
Johnny Knoxville vs Sammy Zayn!!!!
Sheamus vs Big Show for the WHC in 2012
Why does the narrator end every sentence with a-ehhh- elongated’ah speaking’ah
Hhh in disguise and make this hard to watch
Please only let Simon Miller do these
Simon Miller brought me here
Lets go vince vs shane
Firing predator vince will work 👍
Mankind vs Undertaker is better than HBK vs Undertaker in hell in a cell
Paige was a disappointment? That's some weird rewrite on history.
Steph was greener than grass n was awesome match like it seemed Steph jst took her anger on her dad oot a n his hussy lol
I would say Cena and jbl was average not bad
Roman reigns vs brock lesnar

Somebody get these guys a dictionary. Classics?
This person has his iwn right to an opinion but this guy clearly dont know know wrestling. This video is a waste of time
Gareth ignored the wet-shirt and spanking spots of Trish vs Stephanie because they made him "uncomfortable"...🤣🤣
