Danhausen is up there for sure. His AEW debut match had a grand entrance while Tony Neese got no intro, making some people think he'd dominate. Fans were immediately shown what type of character Danhausen is when he lost the match in under 30 seconds.
Raven feeding Moppy into a woodchipper has got to be in the GWFL HOF. Hell, the entirety of the Saturn, Moppy, Terri love-triangle should be in there. Absolute gold.
Im surprised you didn't mention Goldust outside of the brief mention in Santino's entry. Also Orange Cassidy deserves a spot if you ever do a sequel to this video. His debate with Chris Jericho was wonderful. Speaking of which Chris Jericho also totally understands how to balance goofy and serious wrestling. You could even give Luigi Primo a mention. Then there's stadium stampede as well.
Main Event Mafia running an episode of Impact with Scott Stiener as the ring announcer and Black Snow (Booker T) and Chet Lemon (Kevin Nash) on commentary
You could fill a top 10 with Santino, Truth, Angle and many others each on their own. Wrestling is meant to be fun, first and foremost. These guys just get it.
Booker T and Goldust teaming up. Priceless. Orange Cassidy early on and his evolution. Mick Foley, as himself and Dude Love. His work with Edge and Christian, classic. The Game, he's the parcheesi.
Haven’t seen it mentioned yet, so I’ll go with my personal favourites Breezango and their Fashion Files. Can’t remember if they won the tag titles after that, but if they didn’t they should have. Best skits ever.
Commissioner Foley. The goofiest of the goofy wrestling. His fun stuff with Edge and Christian and that Kurt Angle frequently played the straight guy for him. Pure magic and proof that Foley is God!
I saw so much goofy wrestling last night at a indy show. The first match was a Battle Royale where everyone formed a Conga Line and danced around the crowd. Another match was for the Women's title. The heel champion would get chased around by a kid in a normal Satan kids Halloween costume. She tried to dq herself and cancel the match before finding out management agreed to a no dq match. The champ was pretty old and was taking unprotected headshots from a metal sheet. She got tossed around into the crowd and took other crazy bumps. It was impressive. Also fitting the day the ECW Retro Ups and Downs goes up is the same day of a pretty hardcore show. Hell the Heavyweight title match involved 10 mins of just the Champ destroying his opponent outside the ring after ambushing him during the entrance. He took out an entire section by tossing the guy into the crowd from the stage. There is also no padding and he is hitting hard wood floor. This went on for so long that when they got in the ring I forgot the match didn't actually start yet.
I absolutely love DDT for its goofy stuff, from Yoshihiko to the Ironman Heavy Metal Weight Championship which started as a parody of the 24/7 title and is still being regularly used in angles today, to so many other things, I mean we just had the final ever pheromones match (if you know, you know) and then you look at its sister promotion TJPW and look at stars like Yuka Sakazaki who isn't afraid to have a laugh in the ring to Raku who legit puts people to sleep by singing a lullaby and then does a move called the Oyasumi Express (good night express), then you get one of the best people at doing goofy wrestling, Hyper Misao, I look forward every year to January 4 for the annual TJPW show where Hyper Misao and Shoko Nakajima have an absolute banger of a goofy match, this year even came with plastic mallets breaking and Arisu Endo falling over, it was pure hilarity
Chuck Taylor is an absolute master of the genre alongside OC. There are loads of their old Gentlemen's Club matches on here and they're all gold. GWFL!
Sami Zayn is a personal favorite of mine. His whole conspiracy theorist gimmick was fun and his work with The Bloodline was some of the best in modern pro wrestling.
Al Snow getting Steve Blackman to do stand up in an old folks home, where off camera Steve goes postal. Walking out "what about the other guy in the wheelchair? He had his brakes on. He couldn't even roll away!" 🤣 Cracks me up every time....
Sting out-Orange Cassidy's Orange Cassidy. Their first encounter was that hellacious battle between the Icon and the piece of fruit during a match between Darby Allin and Wheeler Yuta. The outside the ring duo got into one of Orange's devastating try kicks. The kicker here is that the Stinger threw the first foot. He even beat his chest like he couldn't be bothered. Later the two tagged together with Darby in a trios match against Kip Sabian, The Butcher and The Blade. The Icon gets up to it again, rolling away from Kip splashing him in a distinctly fruit like manner... twice. After Sabian beats down Cassidy further into the match, Orange tags in Sting behind Kip's back. When Sting gets in behind Kip, he makes Kip thi think that it's still Orange in the ring with weak kicks. When Sabian turns around to see the Icon, Sting pounds his chest in an "I don't care" attitude. Speaking of Sting, let's not forget that promo he cut on MJF where he brought out the pompoms. (So funny how Tony Schiavone got tickled by the audience chanting pompoms.) He even namechecked old supporters and eras of his career, including Joker Sting, one of my favorite eras.
Kurt Angle,Edge,Christian,R-Truth,Booker T,New Day,Goldust and the Miz are comedic gold. However if you're looking for one moment look no further than....the Miz and Peewee Herman segment on Raw.
The best goofy wrestling was Chikara (AJ Styles vs lucha ropes, Los Ice Creams vs Dippin Dots, Super Smash Bros vs Incoherence, Bryce Remsberg turning into The Undertaker). As far as WWE, the opening of the Team DX vs Team Rated RKO from Survivor Series 2006.
Ohhhhh myyyyy GAWD!! Halftime heat was amazing!!! So so so stupid but so much fun to watch!! I drive a forklift for employment, and when I talk to some dudes, my age about wrestling, I always bring up how to make pinned Dwayne with a forklift and we all laughed because that’s insane. The Kurt angle stuff is classic. I loved when he was wearing a wig and undertaker saw it, and then undertaker had to pretend it wasn’t there and it was all on camera man old man there’s some good stuff.
One of my favorite goofy/cringey moments was back in the twilight between Ruthless Aggression and PG era, Jeff Hardy was either told to say or improvised a Snoop Dogg impression, and to this day, I die laughing.
The Rock was a master at GWFL as well. From when he was making funny faces when Ron Simmons was talking in the Nation of Domination to those awesome guitar segments….too funny.
It boggles my mind that Simon doesn't watch Stardom religiously. It is everything he loves. I'd love for him to do an Ups and Downs for one Stardom PPV.
Simon, who would you put on your Goofy Wrestling Mount Rushmore? Tag teams and factions count as one. Based on that, I would put R-Truth, Santino Marella, The New Day, and believe it or not, William Regal.
Kane breaking the character and imitating Hogan and Rock and just going all goofy, and Kane breaking the character to imitate Booker T's break dance. Keep in mind this was like 2003-4 when Kane was still masked and major monster heel.
I am not sure, of it counts as goofy wrestling, because there's no wrestling. But I love the videos of pretty deadly and their revovery story. And I know, most people hate it, but I think, the Miz vs the Zombies was great.
A Toru Yano vs R Truth match would be amazing. It could be 25 minutes long and have 2 minutes of actual wrestling, get 1.5 stars from Meltzer, and probably have people talking about it for years.
shawn and triple H as DX had a ton of goofy moments and you also have Vince Mcmahon he also knows how to embrace the goofiness although with Vince sometimes is less goofy moments and more what the heck is wrong with you moments
Simon am 35 wae a 7 n 4 yrar ikd son obv got them so much WWE stuff trying to make them love it n fibally my youngest has started playing figures n eldest 2k23. N they always skag me for saying ur catchprases n say ur daft wen hv u on. U honestly made me fall bk in love wae the sport
Despite my dislike for the man now, I absolutely loved Mr. America’s debut. ‘I’M NOT HULK HOGAN, BROTHER!’ is one of the best lines spoken on WWE TV. Similarly loved the Elias/Ezekiel stuff, but paranoid KO made it so much fun. I just wish they’d done a Rumble payoff where Elias returns, gets eliminated by KO, then after a shave Ezekiel comes out and eliminates KO.
Warm and fuzzy in my tum tum, this list has me.
I think Booker T is one of the most underrated wrestlers when it comes to serious and goofy wrestling.
Booker T hijacking commentary in TNA and calling himself "Black Snow" had me dying.
in combo with golddust some of the most awsome segments
Being a wrestling fan since the mid 80s Booker T and Stone Cold's grocery store brawl is my favorite wrestling moment ever.
Danhausen is up there for sure. His AEW debut match had a grand entrance while Tony Neese got no intro, making some people think he'd dominate. Fans were immediately shown what type of character Danhausen is when he lost the match in under 30 seconds.
I think the edge and Christian years needs a shout out. The five second pose, the Elvis suits, the harmonicas.

OC is great.
Main Event Mafia running an episode of Impact with Scott Stiener as the ring announcer and Black Snow (Booker T) and Chet Lemon (Kevin Nash) on commentary
Funniest part of that for me was knowing most people watching it had no clue at all who the real Chet Lemon actually was...
Honorable mentions:
1. Firefly Fun House at Wrestlemania 36
2. Orange Cassidy
3. Danhausen
You could fill a top 10 with Santino, Truth, Angle and many others each on their own. Wrestling is meant to be fun, first and foremost. These guys just get it.
Anyone who doesn't like goofy wrestling takes it all to seriously
They don't like any entertainment in their sports entertainment.
Happy to say I take it too seriously
*stares at Jim Cornette* What?! Well all know it’s true!
Booker T and Goldust teaming up. Priceless.
Orange Cassidy early on and his evolution.
Mick Foley, as himself and Dude Love. His work with Edge and Christian, classic. The Game, he's the parcheesi.

Teddy Long using the Undertaker as his personal hitman 😂
Timeless Toni Storm honorable mention. She is killing it big time! 👠👠👠
She is the best gimmick in the business right now
@@danielgertler5976I came here for both of these comments.
This is WAS, not NOW. But you aren’t wrong, she has a great gimmick!
Commissioner Foley. The goofiest of the goofy wrestling. His fun stuff with Edge and Christian and that Kurt Angle frequently played the straight guy for him. Pure magic and proof that Foley is God!
The first Stadium Stampede was a triumph of goofy wrestling.
Booker T doing commentary as he was beating up people in TNA comes to mind😂😂
Best Friends are such a great in ring team. They deserve a decent run with the AEW Tag Belts
Yes.
Double yes!
Anything "Reaking of Awesomeness " Edge n Christian ALWAYS cracks me up!!!

Goofy Wrestling for life
Love this Goofy wrestling video we need more Goofy wrestlers in wrestling companies Simon.
Just to clarify, the DDT Ironman... title precedes the 24/7 one, what parodied/parodies is the 24/7 _rule_ from the OG WWF Hardcore title.
The Food Fight Tag Team match at Mystery Wrestling 4 was utterly hilarious in so many ways.
Damien Mizdow was the cherry on top to an already funny Miz
My favorite goofy wrestling memory is the ‘87 Slammy Awards! 🤣🤣
I'll always have a soft spot for Al Snow when it comes to goofy serious wrestling.
This entire list 💯👏🏻🤣❤️
Colt Cabana. Under Rated comedy guy for sure.
Al Snow getting Steve Blackman to do stand up in an old folks home, where off camera Steve goes postal. Walking out "what about the other guy in the wheelchair? He had his brakes on. He couldn't even roll away!" 🤣 Cracks me up every time....

Jericho and MJF’s musical number was awesome. That would make my list for sure.
Or Bryce ref-ing Invisible Man v invisible Stan
by the way what’s the best way to see those Chikara matches?
Ohhhhh myyyyy GAWD!! Halftime heat was amazing!!! So so so stupid but so much fun to watch!!
I drive a forklift for employment, and when I talk to some dudes, my age about wrestling, I always bring up how to make pinned Dwayne with a forklift and we all laughed because that’s insane.
The Kurt angle stuff is classic. I loved when he was wearing a wig and undertaker saw it, and then undertaker had to pretend it wasn’t there and it was all on camera man old man there’s some good stuff.
I remember the stuff TNA did with Kevin Nash, Alex Shelley and the X-Division. I think it was Paparazzi Productions. Those skits were comedy gold!
One of my favorite goofy/cringey moments was back in the twilight between Ruthless Aggression and PG era, Jeff Hardy was either told to say or improvised a Snoop Dogg impression, and to this day, I die laughing.
The list of Jericho is one of the unforgettable ones for me
One that was mist @WhatCultureWrestling was the whole "Brock Lesnar being a sily cowboy." That whole time was absolutely epic!!
This list was your destiny Simon! I love goify wrestling +
I remember when Eugene took over Raw. He gave us an IC Title match. The number 1 contender was determined by a game of Musical Chairs.
This list was awesome great job Simon
Rest in peace Bob Barker
Simon, you should do a retro ups&downs of the Raw episode when Bob Barker was the guest general manager.
Love that Danhausen. He's goofy wrestling personified.
The 2002 Kurt Angle/Edge picture bit still holds up! 🤣
The Acclaimed doing their scissoring stuff always gives me a laugh
Because EVERYBODY LOVES THE ACCLAIMED!!! ✂✂✂
The Rock was a master at GWFL as well. From when he was making funny faces when Ron Simmons was talking in the Nation of Domination to those awesome guitar segments….too funny.
Ron made that even funnier. He looked like he wanted to kill the rock.
It boggles my mind that Simon doesn't watch Stardom religiously. It is everything he loves. I'd love for him to do an Ups and Downs for one Stardom PPV.
R Truth thinking he was in money in the bank 😂
This list needs a part two. There are just so many, lol.
MJF & JERICHO singing together!!!!!!!!!!
All warm and fuzzy in my tum tum. Also, can we get some footage of you in the ring more? Like I can’t find much online …. That makes me a sad panda
The idea that Santino is a legit fighter but just went with this gimmick is fantastic
Simon, who would you put on your Goofy Wrestling Mount Rushmore? Tag teams and factions count as one. Based on that, I would put R-Truth, Santino Marella, The New Day, and believe it or not, William Regal.
I’m a fan of goofy stuff too
Honorable Mention for #10: Stealing the IC Championship.
Stan will forever be w goofy list all timer... Dx in general qualifies 😂😂
Kurt Angle is SO underrated as a comedy character but the GOATS will always be Santino and R-Truth
They should have put the way taker looked at Kurt's wig I was fucking dead.
Kane, Rock, Hogan promo was the best goofy wrestling!
10 Kurt Angle clips
Kane breaking the character and imitating Hogan and Rock and just going all goofy, and Kane breaking the character to imitate Booker T's break dance.
Keep in mind this was like 2003-4 when Kane was still masked and major monster heel.
Barker vs. Jericho was the greatest feud since Barker vs Happy Gilmore.
The Bushwhackers and Too Cool w/ Rikishi for me
all of Hustle (ハッスル, Hassuru) from 2004-2009 amazing promotion too bad its gone
Little peoples court, DX imitating Vince and Shane.
Firefly funhouse
Hey look 2:05
It's "Hardwood" Rich Mahogany and the other guy is Trent.
😆👍
Anyone who saw ROH after aew in Seattle...I LOVE BREAD!
1:31
Baptista seems like it if Batista was a priest 😂😂😂
In the halftime heat mat, it look like Mick had like a fake skullcap on was that part of his master did his head got all weird for a while
What was the name of all those segments breezango did? They were the only reason i was tuning into WWE at the time
I am not sure, of it counts as goofy wrestling, because there's no wrestling. But I love the videos of pretty deadly and their revovery story.
And I know, most people hate it, but I think, the Miz vs the Zombies was great.
As much as I like my wrestling serious and realistic, goofy wrestling is a very important part of wrestling.
6 second poses. Just a fun running joke.
Sami's explanation of how he's a master of mental warfare and breaking everyone except Solo. 🤣
The rock singing to Vickie Omg
R-truth is a god dam national treasure
Wee-L-C with Michael Cole announcing it like it was the main event at WrestleMania. 😂
Gotta mention No Way Jose in NXT as well.
Just anything with Toru Yano.
A Toru Yano vs R Truth match would be amazing. It could be 25 minutes long and have 2 minutes of actual wrestling, get 1.5 stars from Meltzer, and probably have people talking about it for years.
No Toru Yano and Colt Cabana mentions? I am not mad, just sorely disappointed.
R Truth should actually be a real comedian. I'm actually serious. He'd be freaking gold!
Fans chanting “oooh scissor me daddy”
Simon, you forgot The Mcmahons vs DX fued.
shawn and triple H as DX had a ton of goofy moments and you also have Vince Mcmahon he also knows how to embrace the goofiness although with Vince sometimes is less goofy moments and more what the heck is wrong with you moments
George the Animal Steele eating turnbuckles
Kurt was comedy gold.
Booker T Goldust tag team
Norman Smiley Hardcore legend
I'm surprised Eddie Guerrero wasn't mentioned. The man was the most credible goofy wrestler EVER in my opinion. The stuff he did was Legendary :]
What about kane and Daniel Bryan, the miz and Damien Sandow
I thought the whole "Total Deletion" thing was a waste of time.
"The man with 3 H's." Was the only highlight imo.
You just made “THE LIST”
I was hoping for a mention of the jackass match at Wrestlemania and the Texas chainsaw match in AEW

How on earth, do you not mention edge and Christian's 5 second pose? Or just them in general.
Did Kurt do "goofy" before being attached to them?
