I was a hard working joiner in the 90s , my wife and daughter both listened to repeated pop songs ,me I was bombarded day and night with this catchy music. Then one day my wife said to me , don’t work Saturday we’re taking Rosie to a concert , so Saturday came , and off we went , me saying , who’s this group Steps , never herd of them , laughing gingerly with my daughters discussed . When we got to Newcastle concert , we all got our seats the music started and all my daughters songs came to life. My God i new all the tunes, thus me was singing an dancing like a banshee , and I was hooked . Woo woo

Watching this again in 2020 and wow have these guys come a long way. A successful Christmas album, a successful comeback in 2017 and another album on the way later this year with some of their best material, videos and successful shows in between and now they're all in their early to mid 40s. So proud of them and how far they've come.
..I'm into 70's prog rock and heavy metal..I shouldn't be enjoying watching watching this..I can't even understand why I began watching these steps documentaries..but I do know that I like the personalities of these people and can empathize with there individual situations in life..I'm a truck driver..a world away from this kind of career and yet I still have to make similar decisions in life..just on a different scale and playground..I like these people and while I will never see them live or buy any of there cd's..I don't 'arf like tapping my feet to steps songs..

DON'T PANIC! To clarify, this happened back in 2012, as of currently in 2022, Steps are still around and are about to celebrate their 25th Anniversary of being formed as a British Pop Music Band this May on the 7th!
I think they should take the opportunity while it's there, if they let it go then it maybe gone forever. Now in 2018, they're still going! They made the right choice
Definitely and keeping egos in check. They work as a band/ the 5 of them as a collective. Not as single recording artist or duos. Lessons have been learnt and demons put to rest.
I don't know if anybody else feels like this but there is something about Claire's husband I really don't like. In episode 3 when she was unsure about remaining after the tour he kept filling her head with reasons why not to continue, and in this one he makes just little subtle hints that she should be home with him and the child and how the band is too big of a time commitment, etc. It's no wonder she is the main one unable to fully commit to it with somebody like that constantly in her ear.
Watching this in November 2020 is incredible. Just so amazing that they’ve achieved so much after reforming. I’m so glad they all took the risk and enjoy what they’ve all subsequently created! Steps have saved 2020 for me! Is there a part 7? Or a different show? 🤔🙏🏻☮️💜👍🏻
After watch their other documentary and start this one. It’s very interesting to see how big they were and impact they had in a lot of people. I don’t agree the way Claire and H left the bad. They should have give them more notice for sure. But it’s a job at the end of the day and you will never be best friends with everyone. There should be respect and professionalism. It’s a bit upsetting hear them complaining about leaving their families behind and the long hours. A lot of people work way long hours and have 2/3 jobs and manage. Not to mention this is temporary and can be done in their own terms.
I know right!! They act like they are not selling tickets !! They are selling soo many! They only tour for a term or two and get paid so well!! Like they did sold out tickets everywhere

Claire's by far and away the vocal talent that carries the group. Sensational voice. That was always the issue from the start that Lisa and Faye could not compete vocally, they're both pretty standard. Because Lisa and Faye were Stage School bodies, they were indoctrinated they would always excel over the rest. Claire is a phenomenal, natural talent and Faye and Lisa were always resentful of that.
You can tell there's still plenty of tension between Faye and Claire especially. Clearly Claire has been behind the 8 ball with the weight issues, being away from her family and taking the brunt of Steps breaking up during the STEPS Reunion and Faye just doesn't get it.
Michael Dixon it was Claire and H who did that. They chose to leave one hr before performing in 2002 on stage. It's true though something happens when the five of them get together :) it's electric energy and everything just goes well

Remember, this DIDN’T happen recently, this was back in 2012, almost 10 years ago next year in fact, since then currently, as well as Claire and Lisa, H has become a father to twin boys Cybi (Cubbie) and Macsen (Macksen) and has managed to make his career work as well as being a radio DJ and Painting Artist whilst having children off the stage, along with being a band member of Steps initially.
And the rest is History. They chose to continue with STEPS and they are a success once more and we as their fans are grateful they made that choice.
