I remember we were living in Iran and boys are really spoiled. Well the 4 year old neighbor boy slapped my Mom face. She just barely slapped him back. His face just showed how shocked he was that someone would respond back the same way he treated others. So after standing there with his mouth open for a min he decided to cry and whine to his aunt. Well here come the Aunt of the boy and she just start making excuse and my Mom is like I would never let my children slap me, why would I ever let other kids hit me? That was the end of that. Today my Mom probably would be arrested. My Mom never hit me because if I misbehaved I just did my punishment. I screwed up so that was that. Life is really easier when you take personal responsabilty for your actions. You never have to worry if someone get something done ect.

@@joyfulhomemaker8053 I can almost guarantee they weren't gentle parented. Authoritative parenting requires more time, forethought, and energy. For starters; NO DEVICES. my kids are 12 & 13 and still don’t have access to devices other that supervised computer time for literal homework.
Food: NO JUICE. really just water (milk depending on age). Eat as a family at the table. Talk to each other. I’ve never forced my kids to eat anything but they do ave to try everything. I told them if they don’t like something, don’t make a big deal about it. It might mean they don’t get a treat later and that’s okay.
I didn’t count to three in that way that trains kids they can continue he disobeying for a little longer. If I gave an instruction that they disobeyed, I would repeat and tell them “thats two”. They understood three meant a consequence.
NO EMPTY THREATS: my kids take me seriously because I’ve never told them I would take something away or do something if they didn’t do XYZ and didn’t follow through. There were times I didn’t know what the consequence should be but I honestly would tell them that and typically had them take a time out or something until I decided.
I could go on but I think it would be easier if you asked a specific question if you’re interested in continuing.

Yes & spoiled children always act up this way. They want their way & will stop at nothing to get it. They need discipline when they act this way. You have to start really early in their lifes. I'm not saying they should be beating their kids. Violence is bad no matter how you look at it. Violence only begats more violence & they would think that's how you deal with lifes problems & grow up treating their children the same way. There's a lot more that you can do to stop them from being mischievous. Have you ever tried taking their Gameboys away from them?! 😂 Their world gets shattered, lol. 😂😂😂

I was at my cousins wedding and had a little boy walk over to my brother in law and stick his hand in his cake.
This was the worst display of bad behavior from the result of bad parenting.
Parents are not parenting their children and giving them discipline that they need at home.
I did not scold the child i just handed over the cake to him.
Parents are creating unruly sociopaths, psychopaths, narcissistic children/demon children.
Parents children are not other people’s responsibility you are the ones that are responsible for this bad behavior that teachers and strangers have to deal with.
I feel bad for the teachers it’s not just generation alpha.
Bad behavior children have been around since the 70’s,80’s,90’s,00’s.
The only difference is that we didn’t have phones to record the bad behavior back in the days.
I am a millennial and i will be a better parent and i will discipline my children to make sure society doesn’t deal with my children’s bad habits/behavior.

I share your thoughts precisely. I wonder if the parents think that their kids will just 'grow out of it', or that all kids act this way sometimes, or something similar. Instead, these children will gain an adult body but remain horribly immature, because no one has ever taught them self-control, humility, respect for others, and a proper view of their own self-worth. I believe these kids are exceedingly insecure and fearful, because they don't have boundaries or a sense of control.

@Lacavadoe - Your statement sounds ridiculous. Children behave this way due to a lack of discipline. When I would see a child, act this way... it never deterred me from wanting my own. Biblically, Father Yahuah commands us to teach our children when they are young, and they would grow up with what you have taught them. Also, children are a blessing from Father Yahuah. These children act out because their parents aren't teaching them. They allow them to do what they want as a small toddler - then they grow up to cause chaos. Some parents have no morals or value... therefore what are they going to teach their child.... 🤔 nothing.

I don't do all that extra stuff like allow my kids to hit me, or tell me how the show runs. I listen to them and talk with them. I love them too much to allow them to act like this. I had a nanny who allowed him to get away with murder. I quit my job to take him in hand when he was two. He required loving but stern discipline to tuirn him around and was quite the "project" 😂. Yep as he got older he got some well deserved whoppings. That dude is now 28 has his own business, manages his mom investments very lucratively and just bought his dad a car for Christmas. His sister on the other hand didnt need his level of discipline. So called "gentle parenting" worked for her. They are two young adults that are a a credit to us their parents. As I was walking in the entrance, there was a girl who had to be maybe 15 years old throwing a full out tantrum on the floor. She was screaming and crying saying she wanted another bag. She was floundering on the floor like a fish out of water. The dad was trying everything to get her off the floor. Whatever he was doing wasn’t helping.
She then stopped crying and got up from the floor and looked up at her dad and said with a very straight face” if you do not get me this bag, I will tell everyone you touch me in my no no place. Mommy and everyone else already hate you who will they believe? Do you want that daddy? After she said that the store was dead silent. All you could hear was the music playing in the background. I left after that because I didn’t want to experience any more of that drama, but I can’t even comprehend what I would do in that situation as a parent if I were one.

Im a parent, and honestly, the issue is society. Parents were told we can't spank our kids. Then it was we can't even yell at our kids. Now me personally, i have no problems laying my hands on my kids or yelling at them in public, but i have had dirty looks, and even had people try to step in and berate me while i was disciplining one of my children. Now im not embarrassed at all by having to hand out discipline in public, but i can see where a lot of other parents are more worried about being shamed for discipline. So society chastised parents for disciplining our kids, but now society is all up in arms because the kids are out of control.
This is what happens when you threaten parents with jail time for spanking. Hell, i saw one video where a mom got arrested for trying to get her autistic son under control in the gas station. All she did was try to grab his arm and walk him out of the store because he was having a meltdown, and people called the cops and she got arrested for child abuse.

Society can’t tell me what to do with my kids. If it’s not abuse society can kick rocks. That’s a weak excuse women come to near death to birth children and the men make the sacrifices to assist the baby and mother with recovery. Shouldn’t nobody come in between the relationship a parent has with their child. Society isn’t losing sleep blood sweat and tears to care for our children. The same society that has something to say will never love and cherish your kids the way that you do. So if I need to scold or pop my kid to teach them so they don’t run around here committing crimes or calling themselves a unicorn at a grown age or crying having mental breakdowns from only working two hours I’ll do that.

Amen. Millenial mom here and I have a 12 and a 2 year old, both girls. I wish they would try me like this but they know better.
I was in a store with my eldest a few weeks back. There was a girl her age calling her mom a ‘kutwijf’ because she was told no on something she wanted. We are Dutch, it roughly translates to ‘cunt woman’. Very very disrespectful. I saw my daughter tense up, waiting for the other girl to at least get some sort of response to her actions from the mom. Guess what, nothing. The mom did nothing but laugh it off and kept walking while the daughter kept cursing her out?! My daughter, completely stunned, looked at me and said ‘you would’ve whooped me all the way home wouldn’t you mama?’ and she started laughing and shaking her head. She has never ever cursed around me, let alone curse me out. We are indeed going to hell in a handbasket 😅

Gentle parenting is being fully present for your child to help guide them through their challenges and negative emotions. It is not passively recording them in their moment of distress while making snide comments/laughing. What we are seeing is negligent behavior on the parent’s part, its horrible and i wish sharing videos of children online would be made illegal. 😢

My birth children would NEVER act like this anywhere but i did therapeutic foster care for over 10 years. These children were removed from "regular" foster care bc of their extreme behavior. Once one of them threw herself on the floor at the grocery store kicking and screaming. We walked away, thinking she'd stop and follow. She didn't, so I went back, leaned over and told her... "see all of these people? They are looking at you... not me." She looked around, jumped up and ran back to the cart. 😂 worse happened with another child in Walmart and I was begging ppl to please call the manager or police while I had this child restrained bc he was throwing himself full force into the freezer glass doors and calling customers every name in the book, kicking and hitting me also. After 30 minutes a police officer finally came. Smh. This child had been severely abused by his mother but responded great to male figures! 😮😢💔 So... this is just a reminder that maybe some of these mom's in public are foster moms and can't just pop the kids butt to make them toe that line. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Idk. A lot of these new moms just seem afraid of what? Having the police called? CPS? Sheesh!

I have heard it all now a level of fear , It beggars belief you madam are clearly Not a mother or if so a dam fearful one
You think that a child should be afraid of their own mother .father no, no, no , the need first love respect care and of course time time with their mummy daddy showing them the way through speaking calmly , lovingly , putting your arms around them and tell them you love them then go on to tell them nicely that you must not do that .
the children are raging here because from the very beginning the parents did NOT correct them or laughed at their bad behavior .
We have some children behaving pretty badly in Britain but nothing like it is here in America /
It is shocking parents need to love their children find time for them.

Not all mothers need children. And we need to teach our young people to wait for babies until they are 30. I had my first at 17 so i was 16 and pregnant. My daughter was born when i was 20. I actually raised my kids. I was active in every aspect. I ALWAYS tlked to them about the things most consider uncomfortable, and they would tlk to me about anything they would tell me things that most kids dont tell their parents. When we would tlk about them having kids and their future i always said to them that i never regretd my decision to be a young mother but that i wished i would have waited until i was older to have them. I told them to enjoy being kids (when they were kids) and as they got older. I said enjoy your 20s do things with friends and dont worry about marriage and kids that is they waited until 30 to have a kid it wouldnt be to late and by then you have time to get it together and have a house a car a life and then bring a baby into the world.. well they didnt do this by not trying but both of them were 30 when their first child was born. Not saying its easier when your older your just more mature and hopefully have life kinda figured out. I think we get in a hurry to be adults and sometimes some of us realize we really werent ready and OMG i have a kid. What now? Its all in how we raise our kids NOT BE FRIEND OUR KIDS. AND SOME THINGS ARE CUTE WHEN THEYRE LITTLE AND WE LAUGH BUT AT A CERTAIN TIME THE LAUGHING HAS TO STOP AND PARENTING HAS TO START. MOSTLY WE NEED TO TEACH THEM YOUNG, LIKE 10. MINE WERE REAL YOUNG AND YOU HAVE TO BE AGE APPROPRIATE AND AS THEY MATURE THE CONVERSATION STAYS THE SAME BUT AS THEY MATURE THE CONVERSATION DOES AS WELL

Having worked with children that had trouble with boundaries, self control, anger management, socializing, among other challenges I found it helpful to talk to the parents about a “job description”. I would ask the parents how they would feel to start a job and not be given a job description, typically the responses would be, frustrated, angry, scared, among a myriad of other feelings. I go on to point out that kids also need a job description, what’s expected of them, do’s and don’ts, and consequence’s. These kids are not surprisingly angry, frustrated etc. parents are the boss and the kids the “employees “, without the pay of course. Although, there are rewards that can be given to reinforce positive behaviors. This of course can only be offered to the parents that are open to listening.

Spare the rod , spoil the child ! In the 1980s the schools started telling children that their parents could not discipline them . That it was considered child abuse. My son told his school I abuse him when all I did was turned off the TV and made him go to bed when he didn't want to . I received a call from his school the next day for me to come in so they could talk to me . I had to leave work . I was not very happy about this . I told my son I would show him the difference between discipline and abuse . He told his teachers & me that he was sorry and lied and I hadn't hit him . I do feel sorry for the poor children that are truly abused and pray they get helped .

Grocery shopping with my twins when they were toddlers was interesting. They were never real difficult, but occasionally they’d be grabby if it was just us in an aisle (which worked out well because I just had to roll the cart down the middle of the aisle and they couldn’t reach anything). Then they’d be perfect smiling angels if there was anyone else in the aisle. They’d even hug each other and sway back and forth to get extra oohs and ahhs from people. They knew how to amp up the cuteness when anyone said “oh, twins!”

  • @bRabbitHabit

19:42 Look at her face. See that’s what gets me about these videos. After these kids hit and break things, 90% of them make the, “oh shit, am I gonna get in trouble for this?” face. But only for a moment. Because almost all of the parents reinforce to them that they won’t be disciplined. So that fear in their eyes disappears almost instantly. That fear is them knowing they did something wrong and waiting for their parents to do something about it. And every time the parents let it go, they know they can push the boundaries further.
These kids grow up to be the same adults you see on dash cam videos, throwing the most obscene tantrums for getting speeding tickets or arrested for shoplifting or DUI. They are absolutely flabbergasted when they face repercussions. They can’t even remotely deal with them. It’s such a sad state of affairs. I don’t want kids and I’m not gonna have kids, but for all the people that do have them, it’s your responsibility to raise that child into a decent human being. And if you’re letting them walk all over you, you’re the problem. Because they’re waiting for you to do something about it and you choose not to.

I had a 27 year career in childcare ( as well as 2 boys of my own and being a single parent). In that time the change in children’s behaviour has changed dramatically. There is no respect for themselves , their parents or anyone or anything. It’s a culture now of ‘I want it NOW’ rather than understanding money and having to save for something. There’s no repercussions if disrespectful. These children are growing up felling entitled and ignorant to rules and social etiquette. What sort of adults these children are going to become is, frankly, quite scary. Children need boundaries and consistency. That’s how they thrive.
