- Day 4 of the Everest Base Camp trek, We took shortcut to EBC. Took Helicopter ride from Namche Bazaar to Everest Base Camp. Helicopter landed near Kalapathar for 15 mins we took some of the breath-taking photos and videos of the life time.
helicopter tour is a luxurious, time-saving, and easy way to explore some of the world’s eight thousand mountains in the Khumbu region by foot then on air. What a unforgettable experience.

Excellent video. How much it costs. ??
1300 usd for 3 of us chartered ride, we took, sharing would cost less
Is that the Namche helipad? If so how did you get there? Did you walk?
Yes that's Namche helipad, we walked from our lodged sherpa land.
@@560saurav it’s a great notion, taking the copter from Namche : I walked as far as Tyenboche in ‘14, but I don’t know if I could do it again - I’ll be 83 next June when I’m planning to visit Sagamartha once more.
But a helicopter is out of the question for me. I’m still figuring out how to get business class tickets to Kathmandu . I’m not flying economy with Qatar whatever happens
It was a magnificent trek though, Lukla to Tyenboche. And that monastery at nearly 4000 metres. Spaced out monks !
Here’s a little memento of my visit:

It’s Z Street, Thamel
@@johnlawrence2757 great, it is also attracting me, next year I plan to do ABC trek alone, not with family, this time no helicopter too for me, what I felt trekking is best experience you can get.. helicopter was not in the plan, unfortunately we had to take
@@560saurav I am looking for someone to sponsor my trip - may be of interest to someone due to my age, perhaps?
The problem, though, is that I go so slowly the guides and porters get impatient - and I don’t blame them at all!!!
Perhaps we could assemble a group equally as decrepit so that would be the whole point! EBCT for the over 80s.
The other problem is you need a licence to film in Sagamartha National Park
and it is horrendously expensive. But I would want to make the video. Could be hilarious
@@johnlawrence2757 you should come to India and visit Ladakh after you visit Nepal. Sharing a fav channel of Raman th-cam.com/video/FnXRnhSOB0k/w-d-xo.html. Hope you enjoy his vlog. Nice guy
Did you land at the Namche Bazaar or did I miss it?
The song "Below Horizon" is less than 3 min. long. You're stretching it out together with the other annoying background music until my ears are bleeding. That's a big downer 👎
If you want to impress by acoustic monotony why not take traditional Nepalese music. That would've at least made sense...
Thanks for the suggestion
