Got back into golf this past year, all clubs are second hand, most from thrift shops... $15 bombtech grenade driver, $3 taylormade r9 3 wood, $2 big bertha fusion 5w, $3 callaway razor tour 3h, $5 taylormade rbz pro5h, $30 set of callaway x series n415 irons 6-pw, $2 vokey sm4 48°in mint condition, and$10 each brand new warrior 52, 56, 60 pro edge wedges, and a $20 oddessey white steel 3 ball srt, all that stuffed in a callaway diablo bag sourced from the curb near work....
ISI (in either the BeCu, BeNi or SS) remain irons that can pin hunt with the best today has to offer. Get the right colour dot (yours were too upright) and a well matched shaft and go fire away happily. Traditional lofted, ultra consistent, forgiving, thin soled and (if you choose the BeNi) so pure when struck nicely. Never play for money with a guy with an old YES putter and old Ping irons. Top Tip.
@@MrBogieboy01 Yes the thrift stores have clubs. But they are of poor quality. We have many golf shops that sell Old clubs at New prices. Florida is the place to buy 2nd hand clubs. We are just overly greedy in Ca.

I used the Taylormade Tp Rescue for 14 years. Solid hybrids in that era. I have changed now to a Ping G425 with a Aldila Rouge Black 95 TS shaft set 3 degrees flat and 19 degrees set to 18 It takes names and kicks ass. I tried other hybrids but they were all a bit 💩
Never seen a chipper used of the tee before!! Lol. Respect James. But your right in thinking there are loads of second hand clubs out there to help beginner golfers. Much better than cheap box sets!!
My dad bought me a full set of Woodworm clubs for my first set from bid up to, they were really bad, but they made want to improve and get a better set of clubs. The golf clubs have improved not sure about golfer though.😢
This is a great video. I love the retro look back at forgiveness and the better ball format. I think more groups should consider better a better ball format as injury or age impacts what we were once able to do. Very enjoyable and hope to see more of these.
I’ve used golfclubs4cash three times this year upgraded my sldr to a epic speed got some AP2s didn’t like them but Warrington had a set of 921 hot metals so snatched them up and sold the AP2s back to them meaning I only paid £360 for a virtually brand new set of 921s. Next is a 3i/3h and 3w so will be going back after pay day 😃
I know someone on yt had done a video on 3 woods, and there is almost no difference in performance between an Older 3 wood and a brand new 3 wood. With Irons, unless you are looking for massive forgiveness in a GI iron or just have really old irons, if you are sticking with standard lofted irons, you don't need the latest and greatest irons. My brother just replaced is old Titleist AP2 irons that he got way back in 2009, with a new set of Titleist T100S irons. And he'll probably have those for the same length of time.

My set bladed irons is more than 30 years old and absolut free of forgiving - but well known by myself and so the best to use at the moment. They look amazing and if you hit the sweet spot the feeling is not frim this world! Better than s.. With the lady you dreamed from.
Me and my mates reacted in the same way as you two did about the merger, we where just on the practice putting green at Rotherham golf club about to play them in the SUGC foursome league and everyone was shocked

In my opinion the eastiest and most forgiving have to be the Cleveland Halo Turbo Irons had the previous set of Cleveland and Im trying to explain to my wife why I need to spend more money on clubs 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Probably so. I'm using a Cleveland Frontline putter that I got for $100 second hand but near mint condition. Putting better than I ever have.
In California Used golf clubs are insanely expensive, You don't feel like you are saving much at all.

Ping G10 fairways and hybrids are also exceptional. I still have a RBZ tour 3h in the bag!

I'm playing the M1 and just recently moved both weights to the back. Once I got used to the feel change I've found it to be very forgiving.

I use the m1 2017 driver and it really helped my game.I got it set up perfect.I also use the cleveland smart sole chipper and love it.
I have a cleveland chipper..... 120-130 yards it is brilliant!
