Adding Zinc Oxide (White base powder for cosmetic & paint) into the gel polish, changing the texture so you can use make up sponge to apply it onto the nail layer by layer, creating the creating the ombre effect

Have you tried cornstarch instead of zinc? Or would a white setting powder work the same?
Cornstarch would work as well! But the pigment size are bigger than zinc white. The idea is to use the finest white base powder so the ombre are smooth, no grainy dots

You can use paint thinner, but I don't think it is ok to inhale it (PPE required). Otherwise you can use 99% isopropyl alcohol.
