Hey Devin, hope you're doing well. I've been following Zach for some time now, especial the Rig journey. I'm 63 and been a wheelchair user all my life and am hoping to order a Rig real soon, in time for Spring hopefully. Nothing has ever held me back, but this thing opens up a whole new world. I'm subscribed and looking forward to seeing you on more adventures. Stay safe, Keith :)
as a father of a son with genetic disorder, I often go on hikes to clear my head. My son has a full range of mobility but I am well aware of others who do not. This WARMS my heart . . . .
Mine was just delivered. Same color as yours….but I opted for the swivel seat which added 3 inches to the height and I’m having a hard time figuring out how to transfer onto this thing so I’m gonna take a swivel seat off and lower the seat a little bit hopefully I’ll be able to get on it. What did you use to transport it to Ventura or Wildwood? You have a little trailer?
Wow this is so timely that I found this. I live in Newbury Park I’m a quadriplegic and I’m in the process of ordering one of these from Utah Trikes . I wonder if you’ve tried lowering the air pressure in the tires to get it to go better on the sand, also perhaps adding some weight to the back? I plan on using it on the same trails just as you are in Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks but I also wanted to use it up in Carpinteria on the beach. Thanks so much for posting this. Also, have you encountered any problems accessing the trails? I know sometimes they put up metal posts to keep certain vehicles out of the trails. Also, do you mind telling me how you transported it?
I didn’t air the tires down at the time and that particular spot of sand was really soft . As far as Research and design I’ve Been taking directly with the crew at Utah Trikes and they’ve already implemented some of my imput on new rigs in production. I’m actually heading out to Their Payson Utah shop within the next month .
@@rayjohnson4817 Directly from Dylan Y in sales , Dylan@UtahTrikes is your best way to go . All the features of their Revolution RS Hybrid Equad and we added to the rig . For example , when I first ordered Sherman I added Dual Bateries , a cargo rack , and a single pull brake lever on the right side to control both front brakes with my right hand while also moving the throttle to the right side as well . Next month I’m getting 2 more batteries and a rear brake conversion installed .
@@rayjohnson4817 I have one of the first ever rigs produced and I’m giving feedbacks a I ride or think of something / take suggestions from people while brainstorming. So my guess is V2 won’t be available for another year to year and a half.
In March this year I went out to Utah from here in SoCal and had the crew install 2 more 18 amp hour batteries on the rack and I’m working with them to get a rack with raised sides like a stake bed on a work truck
Cool! I could not help but think a couple of small single-sided geared hub motors on the front axles would be good for off roading

You should ask Zach from JerryRigEverything for tips on how to deal with the beach, he is very open to suggestions and improvement
