- 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi w/ heads, headers, cam, srt8 setup and much more...... Just recently deleted the Cats and resonators temporarily, and ran it straight pipe to the mufflers. Only mufflers Remain!

So what exactly did you do to it to make it sound like that? I want my srt8 to sound like that right now it’s bone stock and if all it takes is a cat and reso delete, I’m in! Also did you lose any low-end torque when deleting the resonators?

Hey thank's for the comment! It has everything the 6.1 has, which is now the exhaust manifolds and srt8 corsa exhaust system. Hello! This is really great sound :P What this exhaust and cat setup did to you gas mileage?
It’s a corsa Exhaust set up for an 06 srt8 and the gas mileage is about 9mpg’s, not good at all!

Thx! Not custom made but custom fitted for my Jeep. They are exhaust manifolds from an 06 jeep srt8.
I bought the jeep for 7500 eight years ago, another 6 grand on parts and labor makes 13500. Thats still about 20 grand less than what an srt8 would most likely cost in 2008.

Not sure bro. You can try and call and ask a muffler shop. If they say no or are hesitant then you will know your answer.
Here in yuma, AZ they dont do smog and neither emissions test dont know why??
@@JCRR-me4ir because it's not a populated area I'm registered in tonopah Arizona it's the same way no emissions testing
He said he deleted the catalytic converter that controls emission. So he would fail. Just leave the cat converter alone.

Besides being a near 15 year old Jeep.The sound is great, not top notch, but great for a stock sound Jeep. I think the best thing I could say is the paint, not going to say it’s immaculate but I have other vehicles 10 years newer that have paint peeling issues, but not the Jeep!

When you replaced the cam did you need to flash the computer or does it learn the new parameters?
TJ Roxicon You need to have the computer flashed with a new file that has the new parameters for the cam. The new file was created using a Dyno tune.

They are OEM srt, and Lowered on Eibach springs.

Anthony James They bolt right up, you just have to make a notch for the egr or you will throw a check engine light. Sorry for the super super late response.
Just picked up a 08 2wd with 5.7, about what did it cost roughly to buy the bumpers and sideskirts and have them painted?
I went OEM for the bumpers and sideskirts, and purchased them through justforjeeps.com. My buddy has a body shop and he painted the parts for me for 300.

Geon Franklin I've always owned and loved jeeps even through the good and bad times. Its hard for me to imagine ever buying anything else! They are such an amazing ride, and unlike a car or truck a Jeep is a Jeep and will always be remembered as one! My thoughts are go for what you want and stick with it, I can promise you that you will love what you get either way.

How do you delete the CAT isn't it connected to the computer.
You dont have to delete the cat just gutted put the cat an then use a spark plug fouler to keep the check light off or get 2 old cat from junk yard and gutt them out he just wasting money on headers

Joshua Bodkins You are just as curious as I am and I too thought I would see a change by taking them off, but I threw no codes whatsoever and oddly enough I really felt no change in the driveability. I might have to ask my tuner that same question.

quick question bro where did u took it to get your body kit srt 8 installed and all the parts ...
I installed the body myself after it was painted, Its pretty easy. You just gotta reverse engineer things sometimes if you want to save money. The parts I got from Just for Jeeps, its expensive but I wanted to go original.
If you need pointers or help, I am also part of a forum called JeepGarage over @ jeepgarage.org , You can find an abundance of information in regards to what your looking for and much more. A number of jeep owners have done the conversion and have posted the information once or twice before. Hope that helps!
