I don't know why, but I had never realized how AWESOME the Pro Focus is in Pro Zooms. I was using the Tap5a effect to do similar things and while it's great (and free), the speed and ease of use of Pro Focus is on another level. It's sped up my workflow drastically and I can't believe I've been a functioning FCP editor all this time and had never used it. Thanks Dylan!
Hey Dylan - this might be obvious, but I’ve just realised that another advantage of using titles as effects is that you could map them to a role for easy suppression.
Titles should have a "drawer" that when expanded, selects the layers it applies to! Imagine if "adjustment layer" had a small icon in the layer that opens down the "drawer" that can be opened more or less to include or exclude specific layers. By default, normal behavior, meaning, a drawer that includes all layers below it. A title over a title, the upper title must include all the clips the lower title includes.
Hello I enjoy watching your videos. It has informed me a lot. Thank you. I wonder if there is a video that we can use to make moving lines for Real Estate shootings in Final Cut and Motion programs or can you prepare one?
that first Plugin... How did you even make this one? And even if it's easy to get tracked motion from a camera to a plugin via using apple motion... HOW DID YOU MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO CUSTOMIZE IT?! That's crazy man. I've been using this handheld plugin for a while now, I think a year or so, and I am absolutely stunned
Since I purchased your PRO ZOOMS plugins, like you, I use them in EVERY video. But I do have a transitions question: in FCPX I often run into "NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO CREATE TRANSITION" between short clips. What transition plugins will work between short clips?
Hey Lee! This video might be helpful! How to fix "There is not enough media beyond clip edges to create the TRANSITION" FCP th-cam.com/video/2LPgj6LYpyM/w-d-xo.html
That’s dependent on each plugins requirements! My plugins generally run on FCP 10.4 and newer. Though some are 10.6 and newer like my Motion Tools plugin
I'll have to check out the SVM Highlighter Pack! -- RT Punch-ins is incredible! It was what inspired my Pro Zooms plugin. I just felt like there were several features missing that I desperately wanted, and so I made my own version. But RT-Punchin is seriously an amazing tool!
Hey Alex! The broken plugin is due to FCP 10.8’s release. I released the update using 10.8 and that seems to have broken it for many people. I’m just waiting on update 10.8.1 to be released, and that should allow me to resolve the issue. That said, there are a couple fixes. If you edit on an exactly 16x9 timeline, pro zooms has zero issues. It can’t be anything other than 1920 x 1080 or. 3840 x 2160. Everything else is broken due to 10.8. But if you reach out to me at dylan@thefinalcutbro.com, I can set you up with a legacy version of pro zooms that was made before 10.8 and doesn’t seem to have any issues.

I just found your stuff, and I am SO impressed with all that you have created and shared. Thank you, and keep the content coming!!
Many thanks Dylan. I use Pro Zoom on every video I make. The most used plugin in my toolbox. Thanks for another great video.
Love the video! Great job on this!
minimalist backgrounds is dope. use 'em all the time

100%! Also before the renaming feature was added to FCP, you were able to rename the titles as necessary which was super handy!
Awesome sauce as always. Much appreicated.
Love this video so much, really helpful. Thanks Bro!
I needed a Strobe and made the motion tool for FCP. But you have all of them already! FREE!! Automatic like, I'd sub again if i wasn't already subbed.
Great information - Thank you!

That would be super cool!
FCB PIP and Pro zooms are my most used plugins!
That’s smart! And useful. Thanks
Love Pro Zooms but the free In-Out Animator from tap5a is probably my most used one, Pro Zooms are definitely second though 😊
That’s such a good one! Crazy that it’s free!

SVM Highlighter Pack is a better highlighter tool than mMarkup, and RT Punch-Ins is a great zoom plugin.
