Carrots can technically be transplanted, but it's not recommended. Carrots have a long, delicate taproot that can be easily damaged during transplanting, which can result in deformed roots or poor growth. It's best to sow carrot seeds directly into the ground where they are to grow. If you do need to start them indoors for some reason, it's advisable to use biodegradable pots that can be planted directly into the ground, minimizing root disturbance.
