Ten and renjun are reallly close since debut esp since ten used to live with dreamies back then. They always watch movie together and renjun even taught ten chinese too. More Renjun's Perspective pleaseee😭💚
So I'm seeing lots of comments praising Renjun's Korean ability, and then lots of comments gently pointing out that he grew up speaking both (at home, too). That's totally true and a fun fact, but I think we should still praise Renjun a lot for knowing both languages (he's pretty good at English, too, it seems!).
When you grow up with one language in the home and another one at school/during outside life, you get to know really different versions of those languages. For example, my son is growing up in Japan, although we speak English and French at home. His Japanese will be "perfect"... except for in very intimate family settings, you use totally different vocabulary and conjugation. And his home languages will likely be far too casual most of the time, once he grows up and is looking for work, etc.
Renjun may have had an advantage in learning Korean from a young age, but I'm going to guess that he still needed to learn a lot and work hard to have perfect formal Korean and such an expansive vocabulary. Good job to him!! And to Ten (a multilingual king) and Yangyang (who also grew up speaking English and German). Like, is their job really "idol"? Or are they actually just the most talented and handsome interpreters? XD
