The Patagonia DAS is a beloved jacket by not only me, but climbers everywhere. While synthetic insulation means it might not pack down as well as your Fitz Roy, this DAS definite has a lot going for it.

For full-on alpine conditions, the DAS parka for men is the warmest insulated jacket Patagonia offers. It keeps you warm and dry with high-loft PrimaLoft® and a water-resistant, windproof shell.
Features
120g PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Hi-Loft throughout, with 60g PrimaLoft Gold Insulation added in core areas
Soft, lightweight PrimaLoft fibers are highly compressible and insulate even when wet
Lightweight polyurethane-coated ripstop-nylon shell is highly water resistant and windproof
Durable water repellent finish on the shell beads up water so it rolls off
Helmet-compatible hood has visor and single-pull drawcord to adjust overall volume and peripheral vision
Full-length, 2-way zipper has an internal, insulated windflap and fold-over zipper garage for comfort
Zippered, insulated handwarmer pockets
2 large interior mesh drop-in pockets
