You either love it or you hate it. Idk I like it, its unique and the ride is so comfy!
Glad to see the Ford Flex still hangin' in there. The Flex has a kind of retro styling that just begs for "Special Edition" treatment. But Ford seems to have done very little to turn the Flex lovable. No crazy color match-ups, no "woody wagon" package and no low-rider version with 4 corner air suspension from the factory. Ford - add some Fun to the Flex!

As always, golden review, Drew! The 2018 Ford Flex sure is one spunky vehicle. I love the boxy proportions and the horizontal character lines. Also, that Appearance Package sure does make this vehicle appear extremely sophisticated and athletic!
Don't get me wrong, though. This vehicle is well due for a redesign, but I feel as if it has aged very well overtime. Especially with the minor refreshes that Ford conducts on this vehicle. It has remained very modern and bold in its appearance.

I have a 2013 Ford Flex SEL AWD and love this car. Upgrades K&N cold air intake, dual flowmasters 40 series, megan racing coilovers, L.E.D headlights, and sumosprings. This car is a beast.

We’ve had our turbo Limited Flex since 2014 and it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever purchased. Most comfortable seats in a car I’ve ever sat in. Third row seats are useless. This thing is pretty fast to and has paddle shifters for Dad!

The F in Flex stands for Family Vehicle. It's the alternative to the mini van. Just add a drop down DVD player and it's instant kid quiet for the entire trip. Also, if you are in between kids and elders, the elders can enter the car easily and the set of back seats fold down making easy storage for the wheel chair.

The flex is so cute tho
I drove one for 3 yrs and I foolishly traded it for a explorer..It really a comfortable ride with plenty of room. I might try to pick one up before they finally pull the plug on this hidden gem. Also the Ecoboost version is the way to go!

I picked up a 2011 limited twinturbo flex with 71,400 miles on it last oct, it now has 76,000 and i love the refrigerator freezer in the second row.
My parents just got the SE version of this brand new yesterday, handing me over their 2008 Focus. I'll have to say, for a long time I looked at the Flex more like a soccer mom vehicle from the outside, but it's got some good amount of manly design on the inside. The more I look at it from the side though, now it looks more like a giant, truck-sized station wagon
I just traded a 2010 SEL for a 2018 SEL. Great car, hence why I replaced my 2010 with a newer one.
Oh even better seeing Boiling Springs on the NAV. Graduated from there.

I'm not a Ford fan but the Flex is a unique vehicle. It is a shame Ford hasn't shown it some love. It could use a nice cosmetic package.

I just picked up a 2019 Flex SEL. two tone black/Gray with 20 inch wheels, same engine as my previous 2014 Taurus SEL, which 288hp where as the Flex has 287hp.
Is that brand new cause the driver side weatherstripping over your left shoulder looks like it's coming off? And do the rear sunroofs have shades? Thanks for the vid

I heard the V6 engines for these new Fords have the water pump built into them, behind the timing cover, and driven by the timing system. Yea.....not good when that water pump begins to weep water/coolant into your engine oil. That’s a fatal engineering flaw, that can instantly damage the engine. Just pray that your not on the highway, when it does fail. Make sure you perform the services on this thing, right on time, and monitor that temperature gauge like a hawk; you might have to toggle for it on the steering wheel, just to see it on those digital instrument panels.

Gold Pony very awesome. Yeah I am not sure which next SUV I will be getting. I am currently leasing a 2016 Fusion. Then I started a photo booth business. It is not fun using the fusion. I had 4 explorers before. My dad currently has a 2016 explorer but is experiencing their carbon dioxide issues. Its tough to find which SUV might be the best cost ratio for best lease.

We just bought a 2018 Ford Flex select with a 60/40 split second row bench. Our intention was to put our toddler in the middle and our two older kids on either side. This is not working for us because the child sitting behind the driver has no way of clicking their seatbelt in underneath the child seat. Is there a way to configure the Ford Flex 2nd row such that we can put a child seat in the middle and still allow the passenger behind the driver to use a seatbelt? The equipment that came with the Ford Flex that we just purchased does not allow us to do this. Is there a way to swap out equipment or modify the second row so we can do this? Bear in mind, our child seat is one of the narrowest in the industry. We really want our older kids to be next to the doors and our toddler in the middle.
WHAT IF:
Ford was to drop a slight detuned Focus RS 2.0 liter, paired with the new 10 speed automatic in the Flex... IJS

Your videos are always pointing the positives, but I wish you'd point out some of the negatives too. Your videos are unique, don't get me wrong, but don't hesitate to let us know your honest opinion i.e. those headrests were in the way during your visibility assessment, so say that, and then tell us if they are manually or powered removal.
I'll stay Gold, but know that this is a lingering thought of mine, Sir.

If you get the sync3 system yes you will get Android auto/ apple car play... Think its the icon on the right... Just need to hook ur phone up to the car via usb cable
But no show us how to use it, Dose it blue tooth or cable hook up. I like to play mp3 from my phone play list to.

Can you tell a girl what is the + & - on shifter for?
To change the gear manually. When there used to be stick shifts and you would down shift to go faster or shift up to save on gas. Basically it makes driving fun again with more ability to control your transmission. Like paddle shifters....

The only stock car that has badass wheels. I dont understand why more stock cars dont have nice wheels. They always look shitty and destroy the look of the car.

I have to admit, when the flex first debut I was excited to see where Ford would take this model. Years later... I'm still waiting. Extremely outdated boxy vehicle that aged poorly over the years.

I love the look, one of the best looking suvs id say. All the other ones look like fucking bubbles
The design is beautiful and timeless and has aged much better than most ‘trendy’ vehicles. There is a difference between something inherently good/bad looking and something people aren’t used to.
