    Great interviews! Really smart to interview them individually, that way Robert can actually get a word in.

    Im glad Robert cleared things up. Some people seem to dispute the fact that Norvell Austin was an original Midnight Express member. And also, people seem to forget the team formed in Memphis. Jerry Lawler gave the name Rock n Roll Express

    Great interviews individually with Ricky & Robert👍Those guys were phenomenal as a tag team back in the mid-80s with The NWA in The Carolinas. I remember their battles with The Midnight Express / Four Horsemen well. Amazing times in the pro wrestling world💯

      I met Ricky , a few others were with him , at a club in Knox. TN around 94 maybe ? I'm 6'4" and was about 200 lbs at the time. I was definitely taller than Ricky , but at that time , I could tell he'd been working out. He was broader and thicker in the shoulders than I was. Yeah , those guys were trying picking up the leftovers at the end of the night 😂. The place was about to close. I just got off work. He was a pretty nice guy though .

    I heard that Dusty did not like people who outshine him, like the Rock and Roll Express and Stunning Steve Austin.

    A sign of a true pro wrestler...you talk about how over you were and breaking kayfabe records and THEN ask if the camera is on.

    lol ...right when ricky was gonna give a classic speech about the important ,innovate, trailblazing legacy of he and robert ,the phone rings and the interview is over. talk about saved by the bell.

    • @bensawesomemixchannel7220
      @bensawesomemixchannel7220 ปีที่แล้ว

      they were pretty darn good though. rick took an epic ass kicking then the hot tag that led to the double drop kick.
      i also liked that double team move where the both grabbed an arm from the legal guy in the ring and did this kind of rolling somersault and both punched the non legal man on the outside apron in the face at the same time when they were finished with their roll or whatever

    Women finally came to the wrestling matches and still wanted nothing to do with wrestling fans . Lol ...I hated the R&R ....I wanted Barry Darsow and Nikolai Volkoff to squash them lol ...I cheered Russian who never could get it done lol

      That’s pretty much the truth! I had a rat show me a Polaroid in G’boro of her and Nikita, like a selfie with the sheets up to their neck but you could see the headboard. I was 15 and figured she was older but not 18, idk lol
