Hey guys, I’ve been getting into playing board games and I want to know what are your board game recommendations. I’m looking for a one sitting game, anything that lasts from 30 minutes up to just a few hours. I played Scythe not so long ago and I have Catan to play next.
He has a lot of reviews and top fav board games u can check. But some for me will be Death of Winter, is really good, you control survivors of an apocalypse with different skills and have to solve a taks round your personal mission and either help or sabotage the group mission. Legendary:marvel edition is a fan favorite, he actually make a video about it no so long ago. I personally like Senators is a game we're u are all Rome senators and go through various crisis.
Scythe is my actual first game that I played and just that once. We’re 5. I liked Scythe and we’re planning on playing Catan soon and also Resistance. I’m also looking into buying Draconis Invasion but still undecided. I bought Dark Souls board and card game but haven’t played it with them yet. And I bought Monster Hunter board game on Kickstarter but won’t be getting it until spring next year. So pretty much anything that’s very engaging. And honestly, I enjoyed doing that with friends
@@ticaro1068 If you think you might have a consistent group of five players, you might love Betrayal Legacy (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/240196/betrayal-legacy). My group played this as one of our first games a few years ago and it blew our minds! In the same vein, The King's Dilemma (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/245655/kings-dilemma) is also a great legacy option. But keep in mind that for both games it's best to play with the same 5 players for the whole campaign (~14 games). For general gaming, don't be afraid to try lots of different styles of games to see what you like! If you liked Scythe, your group might love Blood Rage (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/170216/blood-rage). Cosmic Encounter (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/313010/cosmic-encounter-42nd-anniversary-edition) is zany fun and plays great at 5. You could also try a bluffing game like Cockroach Poker (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/11971/cockroach-poker) or Skull (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/92415/skull). If you can, try to find a board game cafe/store in your area that has games to play or rent. This way, you can try games for free (or cheap) before buying them. It will probably take some time to find out exactly what kind of game best suits your group, and your tastes may change over time. Happy gaming! :)
Heroes of barcadia on kickstarter is also about to end, a game where your life and your character are respectively beer (or any other drink) and a transparent glass of glass or plastic that marks life, I highly recommend it

Can you do a review of the boardgame "Root: A game of woodland might and right" I feel like it's so under appreciated yet such a great asymmetrical game!
Also good filler game for when one group has finished their main game, another needs a bit longer so the groups can come together for a big 7-8 person strategy game or something.
