Aran is the Ace. The ace of the team is just the player that scores or the most dependable scorer. You will pretty much never have the setter be the Ace because of that reason.

About Inarizaki's pinch server,, i agree that the fans shouldn't boo the player... of course the fans or team would be disappointed bcuz the pinch server should've give a serve that can score or break the formation of opposing team also change the flow of the game but the serve he make wasnt that aggresive and we can see karasuno easily receive it.
If a pinch server not gonna do his role then whats the point in sub him in. Kita also said it doesnt matter if they were in lead or not, the pinch server should serve as aggresive as they can. Yamaguchi also did this bfore (i forgot in which match whether S2 or S3), he give a normal serve instead of floater bcuz he scared that he will messed up karasuno's flow if his floater didnt get over the net or went outbound, coach ukai also was angry at that time.

Kita is the Captain, he's about to sub in. Aran is the ace. Hence his jumping, height and spiking power. I may be mistaken but I believe he's #4 on the list of top 5 spikers. Which puts him in front of Bokuto and behind Wakatoshi(Shiratorizawa).
The kid that you see watching on the sidelines with the low cut and the parts in his hair is #2. They only show him once.
Sakusa, guy that's a germafobe with the face mask is the top spiker in the country and only a second year.

It's never specifically stated in the show who's number 1,2,3,4 or 5 among the top aces. They're only mentioned as top 3 and top 5. Sakusa, Kiryu and Ushiwaka are top 3 while Bokuto and Aran make the 5. It was implied a few times in the show that both Bokuto and Aran are just as good as the top 3, but the inconsistency in their plays is a problem; Bokuto with his mood swing and Aran rarely being in his top condition.
Itachiyama; Sakusa's team, is the champion in Interhigh and first seed in this Spring Tournament, which makes them the top team in the country. That's why a lot of people associate number 1 in the nation with Sakusa. He is the top ace in Tokyo though, just like Ushiwaka is the top in Miyagi. (This end up longer than I thought, sorry.)

@@dreamon5409 yup true they never mentioned specifically the order of ace, just barely stated top3 and top5. Even in the manga they didnt give the stats for sakusa or any of his play in court was never shown during his high school (we only see a very little of him during national practice) but he still made it to top3 ace

Type in Google top 5 aces in haiyu and Sakusa is #1, dude with parts #2 ,Ushiwaka is #3.
Sakura is the best because he is extra cautious and has a very flexible wrist. He's able to give the ball different spin and hit precise shots.
No 2 has a good vertical and strong power.

And I was wrong, Aran is #5 and Bokuto is #4. I just remembered when Lev and Hinata said at the bar be que if they were to beat him will they be considered #3. Something along those line.

​@@PDIDDYSWORLD Google isn't a trustworthy source. As an avid fan and manga reader, it's never been stated. In fact, I would actually put ushijima as #1, as he is a 3rd year and both Kiryu and Sakusa look up to him. And Ushijima went to nationals every year he was eligible. Shiratorizawa as a team simply isn't as strong as Itachiyama. I'd put Sakusa as #2 and Kiryu as #3 but they're all strong contenders. We're only given a vague "top 3" and "top 5", because volleyball is a team sport and it's hard to judge who's better based on victories and losses. They all have good and bad days, and even the best ace in the world wouldn't be winning games if their team sucked.

Aran is both ace and on-court captain (which just means he takes Shinsuke's place while he's out). The twins are: Atsumu as Setter and Osamu as Opposite (same position as Daichi and Ushijima).
