I could never justify my parents getting me this game when I first laid eyes on it. I'm grateful to have found this channel. I always play the Kane & Lynch or Max Payne videos in the background when I'm having trouble sleeping or want a nice retrospective or background music to listen to. Thank you!
I've spent the last 3 days going through your catalogue, and I can't believe that most of your videos are only in the thousands of views. You deserve way more recognition, man. Love your stuff. Keep up the great work.
I hope someone makes a sort of spiritual successor to this game. It has to come from someone that likes the source material and has a certain mindset behind it.
Im a huge punisher fan and when i played thid the day it came out, i was floored. The first time i saw him have a flashback during a tourture scene i was like, fuckin A right. I have a family....family.....family Just awesome
Dope beats homie. Another great trip down memory lane. The original Red faction blew me away when it came out. But I must've played through Punisher 10x more though. The interrogation mechanic made it truly unique. Well done sir.
Wish we got Punisher 2 instead of Saints Row, but alas we did not. Hard to believe Volition once made great games like Punisher 2005 and Red Faction 1. They didn't close with a bang, but instead a quiet wet fart. Sad to see a once great dev studio go so wrong. Would buy a remaster for Punisher, especially if they remove the lame censorship the original releases had. Get Nightdive Studios on it.
Do you know when your next album will be out? I really liked the intro music from your Kane & Lynch vid and would like to be able to listen to it on its own at some point.
@@HyperTensionJohnny unfortunately even marvel comics has butchered the man. I hope someday we get a proper punisher game of some sort but that’s just me hoping here, the same way a third manhunt game is wished for but due to things today it’s less likely. Maybe one day Kind of off subject but related to games we couldn’t see getting a remaster today Ever heard of spec ops the line? It unfortunately got delisted from steam recently but it’s an underrated gem and as basic as the namesake sounds there’s actually a lot more to it as far as story is concerned. I’ll leave it there to avoid spoilers but the game has an interesting metanarrative and a story that leaves you asking a lot of questions and such. Not the best way I can explain it but I’m sure you’ll get the idea :)
This is one of those games that I never played, but my brother ran through it countless times to the point where I feel like I know it inside and out. Awesome video. RIP Volition.
Not really as far as I know. He ended up making a lot of really bad choices and we don’t really have a relationship at this time. You know, drugs and stuff like that. It’s all good though. Sorry I don’t have a more fun kind of answer though, hahah.
in the same vein as manhunt there is actually a really easy mod that you just drop a file and replace and it removes the whiteout and zoomed shots of frank from the executions! fair warning tho some of them dont work exactly right with the mod and obviously theyre super graphic. soooooo gl and have fun gamers!
I wanted to download the PC version and mod it for the video, but honestly I was nervous about the video getting nuked by YT for it. But, yes, I agree, the one on GameBanana is pretty great.
Feels like Hatred was a sort of spiritual successor to the Punisher game. I say sort of because atleast the Punisher game had a story to go with it whereas Hatred put all its emphasis on the gore + shock and awe of it all.
We need an open world Punisher game in the vein of Spider-Man. That would be the shit, now that the liberals have been sent into their holes, and President Trump will be in office. It's time to bring back BASED GAMES.
Anytime I see the Punisher, especially the Ennis stuff, my first instinct is to go deadlift and do some trap shrugs, and worry about why my neck isn't bigger. Love the aesthetic of this era
By the way, Warzone is the Punisher movie that came out after the 2004 one. I used a clip of it right at the end of the intro to this video. It's solid.
If something deserves remaster/remake it's this!

That's so cool to hear. I hope this can be another one to add to your mellow background Playlist. ✌️
4:14 what an awesome drawing style. Looks better than any scene from the movie. So bad ass
The artist name is Tim bradstreet. He did alot of the covers for the punisher max comics.
Finally some love to the Punisher game. If you haven't I'd take a look at Freedom Fighters as a video idea. That game needs some love too.
I miss the 2000s
The glory days of dark and gritty games, that took themselves seriously.

super happy i managed to find the PC Retail boxed copy for my shelf. One of my favorite games as a teen.
The big box? That's so tight, dude
3 CDs??? Damn.

Like Trepang to F.E.A.R.
Fun fact: the VO director Douglas Carrigan later worked on the first two Saints Row games
Really dig the vibe that is curated by the music and presentation of this channel.
Thank you for the kind words. More soon. 🪓

Agreed! Did justice to the source material.
Hope you dug the video 🤘🏻
@hypertensionfilms5439 Actually liking all your videos. Great stuff man.

Nightdive are the kings. I wish 🤞
You can play it on modern PC pretty easy with the filter removed.
As always, this review was incredible! Love the music in the beginning.
Thank you 💀
New album soon
Well, if it isn’t the subject of my favorite Super Best Friends play through.
RIP
Hell yeah! Let's go! I've never played this one, but you always make things so interesting that it's cool to just sit back and learn something.
Thank you, buddy. Hope you can give it a go sometime. ✌️

I believe I have enough tracks for the next one...
Hmmm. Maybe alongside the next video.

My favorite video game based off a comic book.
It's one of the best. BTW, how do you like Streetfighter 6? I still haven't tried it yet
@@HyperTensionJohnny It's ok. I recommend it.

I’d kill for a modern punisher game

I'd rather not... he'll probably get nerfed and butchered character-wise just to appease those that label him "controversial".

Implacable taste in games dude! Editing and music on point as always

I've never actually tried it. It looked like a 14-year-old edgelord's wet dream. But, I could be wrong.
a game of its time. a remaster or remake would strip everything away that made the punisher the punisher.
Is that Derrick Rose?
