i for one love any random select tournaments just because i LOVE seeing experienced players try figuring stuff out with others or showing what theyve learned on others. always much appreciated to see smth fresh every now and then

is it like Dead or Alive? You can actually choose who will be in the pool for Random Select. So whilst the opponent sees 'Random' you know it still will be one of your mains and not a true random selection of anyone on the roster
