I see that this video was posted a few years ago but I just came upon it. I have watched DOZENS and DOZENS of craft room tours over the years and I have to say this is hands down my absolute FAVORITE! Your room is inspiring! The organization is incredible. The discourse between you and your cameraman/husband is adorable and I truly enjoyed everything about this video! I have (obviously) subscribed to your channel and favorited your website and look forward to binge watching your videos. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great job!
Signed a new fan!
Yay! Thank you so much Barbara. That warms my heart. I am so glad you enjoyed it. I actually have plans to film a new one. I promise to make my husband hold the camera. Thank you for watching.
Great set up! To have a handy hubs...... I dream. And yes.... I would come play anytime! I’m really enjoying your channel!
Thank you Terri. He is very handy. He works so hard for us. he really is my dream guy. Thank you for watching.
I ❤️ your uniform, your craft room & yours & your hubby ‘s personality’s...Awesome!!!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I am in uniform right now actually... although it's 8:30 pm and I'm sure many people are wearing their jammies right now.
Koren Wiskman That’s my everyday all day uniform to, except for the occasional outing to do the dreaded grocery shopping or the outing I’m taking my youngest son out for tomorrow because he wants to go eat at the diner by us, then we are going to the Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Walmart & the library because he loves getting a bunch of old DVD’s to watch, so I will be down for a few days after our day out, but we have fun...😊👍🏻
Have a great day out and about.
Love your crafts Room, and your husband is your angel, very lucky you enjoy all the treasure!
I am very lucky, I know. Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you for sharing. Love your husbands comments and sense of humor. Please have him on other videos!
He is in plenty of videos Cindi, he is always trying to get in them, lol. Thank you for watching.
supportive and funny hubby. Great craftroom. Love being a pj person too. Thanks for sharing. Happy crafting.
Thank you so much for watching. I will tell Tim your sweet compliments. I was a "Tom Boy" growing up and it's turned less into "boy" clothes and more into loose clothes.
Foam board! What a great idea! I just shoved paper towels down in mine, and was so so with it! Thanks for the tip!
I made a template (that I still have) and cut a bunch of thick foam board all at once and shoved it down in there. It really does work. I probably added 2-3 pieces depending on what I wanted to store in the particular section. I still have times where I wish I had added more. That thing is really deep. Thank you for watching Sylvia.
Now I have to ask: where did you get that hoodie? I am restoring my Dad's 67 Jeep and that hoodie is so perfect!! I need one!
Love! You have one of THE BEST craft room video - maybe because I organize like you, but you are GOOD!
I'm so glad you like it. I certainly love it. I hope I gave you some inspiration. Thank you for watching.
Very organized - impressive! TFS! Your hubby is very patient so thanks to him as well!
He is very patient. I get a lot of my patients from him. Thank you for watching.
Koren, I have been researching for months all the ideas that people have for home office/creative spaces and none have ever really “clicked” with me until I happened upon your video with your husband. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with everyone. You have put a lot of thought into this room and it really shows. I’m brand new at crafting/scrapbooking/stamping stuff, but am now inspired to get my room started!
That's fantastic Dana! I'm so glad I could inspire you. Do you share pictures of your cards online anywhere?
What a gorgeous craft room/ office you have! I love the style of it and your lights are amazing!!!
Thank you so much. Its an ever evolving play-land for me. Thank you for watching.
Great tour! I love the interaction with your husband. Thanks for sharing❣️
Thank you, for watching and commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
seriously I do love to watch your videos. you are so Cute I love the way you perform its natural.... Love it so much... and the Craft Room Ohhh My God... Its perfect and really organized well.. My husband also helps me a lot to clean and organize my craft Room...
You are so sweet! I just moved my craft room to the basement. So, I’m hoping to share a new room tour soon. Thank you so much for watching ♥️
Hey there! I'm Tamfle on IG from Montreal Canada! I've been watching your videos from my husbands account because my computer died. So, now that I got my own computer back, I am finally able to comment and thumbs up all the videos!!! Yay. I clean up after every card too. Fun hanging out with you guys! Awesome to have a handy hubby, right!! Love the tour!
Thank you so much for watching. Wooooo whoooo! for getting your own computer. I'm lucky I don't have to share mine either, well, the kids still want to use it sometimes, lol. Thank you so much for watching. Having a handy husband is fabulous.
I love the space under the counter where you keep your big paper cutter and mats. So perfect!!
Yes, that is one of my favorite parts of my current space. I use that spot to its fullest. Thank you for watching.
Wow! What a great vid! You guys are Sooo entertaining. Love your room! Thank you for taking the time to share it with us.
LOL... Thats us a barrel of laughs. There is never a dull moment around here, I can tell you that. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Love your space and your family is just too cute!!
Thank you so much for watching Mary. ♥️
I love your magnetic wall, what a great idea!! I'm going to have to do something like that in my craft room? Awesome tour.
Thank you Ruth. I really enjoy the magnetic wall. It is so handy, plus its fun to buy things that stick to it : ) Thanks for watching my tour.
Love the banter and how real you keep it all. No sneaking anything in now!
Thank you so much for watching Kathy 😊
Is me firts time visitting your chanel. I am your fan since now😉
Yay! Thanks you for visiting.
Loved seeing where you create. TFS!
Thank you for watching such a long video!
I would love to have the marker storage grate. I love your craft room. I enjoyed the tour😊
I’m so glad you enjoyed my room. Thank you for watching such a long video, lol 😁
Love your room! Very organized and functional. I was a Dental Office Manager many years ago. I think you have to be a type A person for that career. You are very blessed to be able to work at home. Your son is so darn cute! TFS, Diane
I know how lucky I am to be able to do it from home and I work for an exceptional Periodontist that I love like family. I never expected my chair side career to go this direction. I sometimes miss scrubbing in for surgeries, but I know that I am welcome to whenever I feel the need. Thank you for such a sweet comment.
Love your sheet metal wall ! So useful !
I love that wall. I’ve actually thought about making more. It’s so handy. Thank you so much for watching ♥️
Koren , I could see a million things to do with that wall 😃 !
had to lol at the wood stamp su set, i still hv loads of love and the accessory set too, i just love it♡ great room!
That is my all time favorite stamp set. I have used that set so much. Thank you so much for watching Angel : )
Love your room. Good ideas for storage. Yes I would love for you to do a giveaway of the marker storage
Hi Jennifer, I'm sorry, but I already did a giveaway for the marker storage. You can find some great DIY marker storage ideas on the Pinterest app. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I love your room! It looks like my dream craft room. Very nice, you are fortunate to have a talented and handy husband. The magnetic board is amazing. The closest I got to that was buying the sheet metal for my kitchen cabinets but never installed. I also wear the same uniform on cold and wet days now, last year it was my everyday uniform. 😜 thanks for sharing.
I'm the designer of the things and he is the builder of the things, together, we make a pretty good team. Thank you for watching.
Love it! Keep it real! And he’s handsome AND Handy?! Mines only handy! Lol and he doesn’t do anything!! Thanks to both of u for making me laugh!😀💗👍🏼😂
I love your creatively organized craft room. Your organization ideas are great. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for a wonderful compliment. Thank you for watching.
Thanks so much to show us your craft romm ☺ I'm so happy ,you are a dream team 😀😀 hubbys are the best ❤👍 hugs from germany Ellen
Yay! Germany! I'm so glad you enjoy my video. We are a dream team. Thank you so much for watching.
Love your craft room/office.
Tfs. Take care, Katie♡
I'm so glad you like it. I literally stay in here most days. I'm either trying to get work done or I'm crafting. I love it. Of course I will upgrade it once I kick Tim out, lol. Thank you for watching such a long video.
I would love your old marker storage, it would come in handy for my markers.
Very Functional and I Absolutely Love , Love Everything about Your Craft Room ✨
& this is my first time watching your video, I’ve enjoyed it very much ☺️
Thank you so much. I'm so happy you like my craft room. I know I certainly do. Thank you for watching.
Great craft room. I am giving my daughter this site, as she is doing a craft room out of an spare bedroom. Good job! She is a retired dental tech, so would appreciate all the organization!
Us Dental people need to stick together! Nobody usually likes coming to see us, lol. Thank you for sharing and watching.
Nice room Koren! I just got a 5x5 Kallax unit. I love the drawers that your husband made for your Kallax unit. Does he have “instructions” to make those? 😉. Your tour gave me some good ideas for my scrappy areas. Yes, areas.....one upstairs and one in the basement. Too hot upstairs in the summer and a little chilly in the basement in the summer. Kallax unit is in the basement family room which is 27x27. Desk and Kallax unit are along one of the 27’ walls.
Sooooo many people want him to make that video. I really need to force him to do it. I'll keep working on him. Thanks for watching Diane.
OOOOPPPSSS!!! I just see I wrote “a little chilly in the basement IN THE SUMMER”! Lol. Hope you know I meant chilly in the WINTER! Guess I have the love of summer on my mind. 🤗🤗🤗. Yes, please work on your husband to make that video. You two are so cute together. Time for you to take YOUR TURN filming him! 😁
Best craft room yet! (imo) 😍🔥
Thank you so much. I feel honored. : )
Very nice craft room, very creative. . Good job hubby. You guys put my tiny little Sheshed to shame 😁
No way! A she shed is awesome, I bet you have lots of light 😍 Thank you so much for watching Sylvia ♥️
Would love ur marker storage rack!!! I just bought my first sets of Copics!! Yay! I also bought the xtra deep Art bin! So that would be great! My fiancé just got laid off! PS I love ur room! Hopefully I’ll have a room like u someday!?😊💗👍🏼 thanks Liz E Cape Cod Ma!
Elizabeth, Sadly, I've already given the marker storage away. BUT!! If you look on Pinterest, there are tons of great ways to organize your markers. I'm sure you will find something that works for you. Thank you so much for watching. I started with a bag of supplies, now I have a room. I'm sure there could be a time where I only have a bag again. Such is life. I hope you find your way to having the best craft room ever.
Wonderful room and husbands small end,but keep things coming thank you
Janet, he is building his own office outside RIGHT NOW, so soon, We won't have to share. I'm so excited. Thank you so much for watching.
Congratulations on a great craft space! I love the magnetic wall, can you please specify the type of magnets that you use. (A link would be great.) Their strength is impressive! And does any metal sheet work? Thank you for sharing the great ideas.
I still remember helping you with your computers! Thats awesome. What a fantastic set up!
Hahaha, I remember too. Thank you so much for watching.
Very inspiring. My boyfriend and I need to find a way to do a common room/office and your solution is very nice. + lovely pants
LOL, my sister-in-law gave me those pants. I love them, very comfortable. It's always hard sharing a space and working so closely with someone, especially when it's your husband/boyfriend. My husband is on the phone constantly and he is a loud phone talker. When I say loud, it's obnoxiously loud, so I kick him out of the room often for being too loud. He has learned now to just walk away when he answers the phone. This set up is super cheap and easy to put together.
My guy play WoW and that too can be loud. We live with a friend of mine at the moment and all three of us have desks in the living room. It is nice that we can be together but do our own thing at the same time. I have a pair of purple plaid pant, but the fabric is a bit too thin in the winter.
great craft room.Would love your old marker storage .
Cynthia, thank you so much. I'm sorry, but I've already given it away. I found the idea for it on Pinterest. You might be able to find a good idea for storing your markers there. Thank you for watching.
You have a really awesome studio set up. It seems really functional. Your hubby is so helpful. I have Scan NCut, and I definitely do not use it near as much as I thought I would, but I have not gotten into cardmaking near as much as I thought I would either. I'm hoping I get back to doing cards again soon. Thanks for sharing your studio.
Thank you so much. I like it in here, and I'm never far away from the rest of the family. In fact Dexter is usually sitting the the same chair as me, lol. Heidi, do you have an instagram? Do you ever share projects online? I would love to follow you if you do or ever decide to. Thank you for watching.
Hi Koren, I do have an instagram acct, but currently I am not doing anything crafty at all. I occasionally will do an art journal page, but I rarely share that. I want to do cards but have very few stamp sets, one of these days I'll have a few spare dollars to purchase a few sets and then be able to make some cards. I will follow you today.
I am getting ready to do a destash. I will let you know when I get it together. It might be a cheaper way for you to get your hands on some stamps.
Thank You, the stamp n storage is what I was asking about in another video. New subscriber enjoy your videos.
Shirley, I am so glad that you enjoy my videos. Yes, I got them from Stamp N Storage. I love how they fit into the ikea Kallax. I am getting ready to kick my husband out of my office, so... I hopefully will be doing some reorganization with more space! I am so excited. Thank you for watching.
Love your craft space and watching your videos. Super fun. Thanks for sharing. 'it's empty.... For now' 😂😂😂
Until I fill it up after a few more haul videos, Muahahahaha
Great Craft Room😍!!!. As you I am using my living room too as a craft room.. 😁.
We have other living rooms to use as living rooms, lol. This works out really well for us. I love it. One day it will be all mine and I won't have to share. Thank you for watching.
You & hubby seem to have a great relationship, he sounds super supportive of you. Hope you're as happy as you two seem. Was thinking the dramatist need organisers in sound like a hubby job to me lol sorry hubby. Great your x
Watching this again for organization inspiration. Everyone has the white cubbies and glad to see the black. Where did you get these?
Mine are from Ikea. The are the color they call Black Brown.
Such a lovely and functional craft room. Great job. But being from Dallas, a southerner would never not have a pretty living room. Made me feel sad for you. Ladies need beauty in their homes. But I DO love your craft space. Thank you for sharing.
Barbara! I totally get it. I have another "fancy' living room in my house AND Tim is building us a proper "family" room in the basement. I just don't need two "fancy" rooms that will only get used three times a year. We have BIG plans for this house I will have plenty of beauty... you should see MY closet... oh its going to be awesome! lol Thank you for watching Barbara.
Love your room!! Your husband should sell those pull out drawers for the Ikea shelf unit, I would totally buy them! I'm ordering the 2 drawer for my shelf right now LOL! Your containers that your stamps are in what are they called?
The containers that my stamps are in are dragans from Ikea. Thank you so much for watching. I will let him know, lol.
Awesome room, loving that magnet wall and the slide out cubicles! ( I’ve jotted down all kinds of notes to give my hubby 😃) #teamnikon 🤣
LOL, I am loving the #team canon and #teamnikon. I actually started with Nikon but needed an upgrade and the 70D does just about everything I want it to. I'm still thinking about getting a full frame Nikon for photography, but I have a few other things on my list before that. I'm glad I could inspire you to create some fun storage or to get your husband too, lol. I hope it works out for you. One piece of advice, invest money into good drawer rails, I wish I had spent more on better sliding rails, but other than that, it works well, it just sounds bad.
Thank you for the idea about using foam board for the lazy susan recollection table supply thingy. i lose stuff in that sucker all the time.
Sometimes I wish I had added more layers in there. Even with two layers, stuff still falls down inside. That sucker is deep! I'm glad I'm not alone in that feeling. lol.
I really loved this tour. A. Hubby was very helpful I loved seeing the support. B. You were specific about product info. C. Happy to see you and I wear the same "unifirm." As for the dialogue above about the Scan n Cut, Diane talked about using a touch of Elmer's spray adhesive on the back of her paper and I tried it and have not had to use tape again. It holds beautifully.
I will have to try that. I don't use it all the time, but when I need to, I do begrudgingly. Thank you for watching.
Love love love your room!! My husband works from home and his desk is horrendous! Also we have iPads iPhones and also pc's lol!! But only canon in our house! That's funny you are like canon and your hubby is a Nikon user lol! Nice room! Thanks for sharing!! I loved how relaxed the video was and how you took your time!!
Tiffany, for real, it is horrendous. If you watch the end of my videos, i'm sure you can see a clip of us in that room with CRAP piled high! Sometimes, I just close my eyes and thank Jesus for the divider between our desks. Thank you for watching, what a trooper, that video is long! lol
Ok, now that I have watched the entire video.. thank you, Koren! I love your room, too! I have a very small space right now, but I definitely want a magnet wall like yours. Also, your trash can is fab! Want!!! Lol I have a tiny one and it gets full way too fast. Here's a question for your future Q&A video: why do you still prefer to use dies rather than the Scan n Cut? Thanks again!!
I have had really small spaces. Our last house, I was in the kitchen! Thats all the room we had : ) I know there have been times where i stamped out of a bag! I had a bag of supplies, lol. My new trash can is the best! I can tell you right now, I prefer dies for at least these 4 reasons. 1. Buying dies support the small business that I'm buying from. 2. They cut nicer and sometimes have unique features that the scan and cut can't do, like when "the little bear is holding the felt heart" and stuff like that. 3. The technology isn't perfect. It has ruined projects for me in the past. 4. The mat that I have no longer holds the paper still. So I have to tape down my projects which is a huge pain in the butt!
Haha!! My space is really not that small, I mean.. I still have more than I should! 😂 I purchased the Scan n Cut for Christmas, and I do have to tape my image down to have it cut. That really sucks. I also don't think it gives the same finished look! So yes, totally agree with you. I'll still be purchasing dies for my favorite stamp sets for sure!
The wonderful people working the Brother booth at Creativation said that my mat was the older style and that I need to look for the mat with black lettering. That one is supposed to be stickier. Not sure that will help for long, cause i'm pretty sure mine is covered in hair, from being sticky.
Same with mine!! Lol
Marker storage giveaway video is going live at MIDNIGHT!
That was fun to see . a lot of cool product and creative storage . If the marker storage is still available I might be interested . reorganizing and expanding my tiny studio . do they fit in the target cubes ? any info would be helpful . Thanks again , enjoying getting to know your world .
It is totally my world, lol. I'm so glad you liked it. I am going to do a giveaway for the old marker storage. I will definitely make sure you know all about it. Are you asking if the old marker storage fits in the target cubes or the new marker storage?
Koren Wiskman That's an awesome idea 💖
Koren Wiskman old marker storage .
The old marker storage does fit in the target cubes.
Koren Wiskman nice ! I'm in for drawing when you do it 😁
Thanks for sharing, I love your room.
Thank you for watching.
Oh how I wish I could organize my craft room this well!!!
We don't have half the storage shops that you do in the US as we do here in the UK!!!
I'm a messy crafter, so I have to have mass tidy ups every now and again to put everything away (only to get it all out again afterwards of course).
I clean up a lot. I'm kinda weird I know. I thrive in an organized tidy space. It's certainly not perfect by any means. But you can definitely tell my spaces from my husbands, lol. Thanks for watching.
I love the "industrial" feel of your craft room. So much better than the frilly craft room videos.
Are these the diffusers on the clamp lights?
(Fotoconic 7" to 11" Soft White Diffuser Sock for Standard Reflector/Sparkler Reflectors [2-Pack])
I want to make sure I get the right ones.
Thanks
Judi
TFS! Great ideas. No lie, best part was Dexter wating for his fish!🙌💕👍.
I know right? Never a dull moment around here. If you look at the analytics for this video EVERYONE stops to watch Dexter ask for goldfish, its so funny. Thank you for watching Dianna.
i love you guys! im trying to organized my room i would love that marker stand thinging please!
I have had an overwhelming response to this thing. I had no idea it would be this popular. I'm going to organize a giveaway. As soon as I have information, I will make sure you have the details. Thank you for watching.
Koren Wiskman thank you
Marker storage giveaway video is going live at MIDNIGHT!
I have heard that Stampin'Up is the stampers gateway drug! Love that back wall especially. But you have my deepest sympathy for the carpet! (In process of moving, but let's just say a little heat would beautifully emboss large swaths of my craft room floor) I didn't see any comments about the marker rack, but I am looking for one. ( I realize that I am catching this rather late.) Thanks for this very helpful tour. I am getting lots of ideas for my new house. My most favorite tip--the two layer work surface, so cutting mats, craft mats, MISTI, other large things are there, but not taking up work space unless they are being used.
Bev, I can not wait to rip this freaking carpet out of my house. The day is coming, it is coming. The list of things we need to do to the house is getting longer, yet, we don't have more money to do it all, lol. Stampin' Up! is definitely the gateway drug, for sure. I did do a giveaway for the marker storage, but it's been closed, I'm sorry. Thank you for commenting and for watching this extremely long craft room tour : )
Thanks for sharing your very well organized craft room. I love how you designed your room to work with the way you craft. What did you you use to raise your desk so that you have storage underneath? I would love to do something like that in my craft room.
We used legs from Ikeas called ( Capita www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60263574/?query=capita ) They are short legs that are used to raise countertops for bar areas, I think. I have even seen them used to make unique monitor stands.
I hope that answers your question. Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you!
Did you connect the legs to the top or bottom table top? It looks like they only have connectors on one end.
Guurrl. I am NOT getting anything done today!! I'm binge watching your videos while I craft, but I keep stopping what I'm doing and turning to my computer to watch!! I'm TOTALLY using our old heat lamp that we used when our chickens were chicks, as extra lighting for my video. Took the heat bulb out, of course. It's a clamp light!! Not pretty, but definitely the cheaper route to go. What a beautiful space you have!! As soon as we get our tax return, I get to go to Ikea and do a little craft room upgrade. I'm so excited!! Thanks for the inspiration. I could watch you all day!!
Ha ha! I love being the enabler! The clamp lights work for me, you are right, it's not pretty, but its functional. I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos. I wonder if we could paint them? Tiiimmmmm! Honey dooooo...
Not that painting them would make them more attractive. lol
I have a tripod screwed into my ceiling so it’s already hippie rigged. What’s one more attachment...? Looking on the bright side, at least the silver shade matches my silver tripod!! 😆
Haha, hey, I can deal with it being not so pretty when it is functional. So, I will survive.
Such a well organized and put together spacious craft room/work space!! So loving how you used the one extra living space for this instead. * great idea!* So looking forward to moving even more now, lol. Only thing I was super interested that wasn't listed below or at least I didn't seem to find .... was these grey cubbies with the lids in different sizes especially the bigger ones that seem to fit so well into the cube spaces you used with the black labels on front of them in your spaces below your work area etc. Where can I find these at or do they still have them? Loved your tour and picked up some great organizing tips and ideas. Thank you!
First, thank you so much for watching... and commenting. I love getting to answer questions. Second, Those gray lidded bins are from Ikea. They come with the label/pull on the front of them, but I made the chalkboard labels myself. Kvarnvik is what they are called. I hope that helps.
Koren Wiskman You are so very welcome! Great idea, they look really nice on them. Thanks :)
Subbed too. I'm still watching=) On the tool chest and drawers with the gun foam * LOVE this idea!!* Game changer for a place to keep my cameras etc. That heavy duty lazy Susan Idea for your printer is totally awesome. I saved your link so I can purchase this very soon. I hate having to move my big tv monitor around always knocking something over behind it with this I could keep it in moving function and will save a lot of hassle and time. That's all we have is pc's, uggh... I want an apple laptop or desktop so bad!! Love how you store your pens under your planner and the idea you had to use the alex drawers under your desk for them all to be much more functioning all together. I have the hardest time keeping mine all together in such a small space near my desk in my bedroom and craftroom and this would make much more sense to go where you put yours at. Right now it's in my storage for when we move and get more space but I could put it under my desk and have the space for it now. YES!!!!!!!!!!
Ha Ha Ha, I do exactly what you just did, all the time. I keep a running comment while i'm watching. So funny! Thank you so much for watching!
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who does this!!
My favorite kind of uniform! Fabulous space!
Lol, I figured I needed to keep it real. I thought for about 5 seconds on going upstairs to put on makeup and real clothes. NAH!!! Thank you for watching.
What is a dragon top? I love seeing your craftroom/office/photostudio/formal dining room! I just got a Gemini Jr. & I am loving it so far! Are you?
Denise, I am partial to the manual die cutting machine that I've had the last few years. I don't hate the Gemini Jr. but I don't like it as much as the Big Shot. I think I have control issues, lol.
Koren, I love your craft room. I want to know where you purchased the unit that is behind you in the videos.
The unit behind me in my craft room is an Ikea Kallax 5x5 in black brown. I've added custom drawers and some units from Stamp and Storage to enhance it A LOT! lol. I really like it. I use these units throughout my entire craft room.
Koren Wiskman thanks for your response. Would your husband consider making those great draws to sell. Just asking I am considering buying that unit.
I have asked him that same question. I think he would love to make them to sell, but he is so busy. He runs his own business and also tries to fix up our house. I'll never say never, but probably not : (
Great tour!!! They did a great job on your card!! Thanks for showing it...love the magnet wall..my son is my builder...lol hubbie can do it but it's easier to get my son to do it..lol I have lots of ideas!!! Don't throw out the marker storage!!! I use promarkers...so they probably won't fit...but I'm sure someone could use it!!
Tim did a great job.not to wobbly
He is facing his 10th surgery on his ankle. He is having a very hard time getting around right now. I know that eventually, he will be in a wheel chair, but for now, he just wobbles around, bumping into things. I bet the promarkers would fit. We made it out of a light fixture that use to be in our kitchen, lol. I could test one before I pick a winner. I will tell Tim you said it wasn't bad. Thank you for watching such a long video. I just couldn't cut anything else out.
Oh no...I feel for him...I am waiting on having both my ankles fused!! I had to wait til after my double mastectomy and all results to be in...but now I am ok'd for surgery.. 1 at time of coarse...they wairbti do replacements but I have some rare nerve disease so....ya just a bandaid for me...
He has developed Cysts around his ankle. They told him that he would never walk without a cane again. Well, he does, but right now he is in a lot of pain. We will find out more on Feb 7th.
That's aweful. Fingers crossed for good news

Nice room great video
Thank you Tracy. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching.
Love your craft room, thanks for sharing! Do you store you copics in the three colors you would blend together?
Christina, thank you for watching. Most of my Copics are stored in rainbow order according to the color chart, but I do pull out my very favorite color combos and store them together for easy reach. I like to have as many choices as possible, but I have a few goto colors that I reach for most often.
Just love your room and talent. Your sense of humor makes it fun to watch and learn. It's awesome you have a husband that not only can build things for you but seems to enjoy participating with you. Love the sheet metal wall and the drawers that pull out to hold your Gemini! Was that built or did you buy it?
My husband built the drawers for me, but the unit itself is bought at Ikea. It is called the Kallax. We also installed the sheet metal wall. Super easy. Thank you for watching Davina.
Can you describe how you build the double-sided desk that you and your husband uses? Also, where did you get the lazy susans for the monitors and the printer?
The lazy Susan's are from Amazon and Target. Link for Monitors- amzn.to/2jxlX9T. I don't see it at Target anymore, I'm sorry. It's a much larger version of the monitor ones. The desks are from Ikea. It is a combination of Linnmmon countertops and Kallax units. There are extra leg supports underneath, also sold at ikea. It's basically what they sell at Ikea just configured in an L shape. I hope that helps a little. We used L brackets to connect the countertops to the kallax units. If you have more specific questions, I would be happy to answer them and be more helpful. Thank you for watching Cheryle.
I was wondering what product was holding your camera from the ceiling, it would solve most of my filming problems!!
It is called a Mathews poll. I think... I buy mine from B and H photo video in NY. They have lots of things to hang your camera from the ceiling. It is a fabulous place to buy equipment. I hope that helps. There are many lengths and extensions as well. Thank you for watching.
Pole, is it like where Santa lives or Poll, I probably spelled that wrong, lmao.
Hahaha
I really like your room. Very nicely organized and practical. Different things you might try for your peg problems is replacing them with pieces of cut dowels. They're small enough they can be cut with a serrated steak knife. Been there, done that. Or you could wrap double sided tape in the pegs. Or you could try some hot glue. Then if you ever wanted to remove them just reheat them with your embossing tool and pull it back out with some pliers so you don't burn your fingers. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas.
I used hot glue on them yesterday! lol I love that doing that isn't permanent : ) I want to be able to move things around if I want to, you know? Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I Love talking to everyone.
Awesome Room...Love your pj pants I’m in mine every day too...!! You both are so sweet together...!!
I'm so happy to know that I'm not alone in wearing PJ pants "to work'. Naturally, I still have to wear scrubs in the office, when I go, but really, scrubs are just PJs too.
I loved the room tour thanks! Your husband reminds me of mine :) After 23 years in our old house we designed and hired a contractor to build our new home (the same contractor that built the house we were living in for 23 years and yes, we designed that one too!). My husband is a mechanical engineer so he's very handy! In the new house he made sure that I had a room that would be my Studio and fit all of my supplies and it turned out beautifully, the whole house is perfect! We've been here almost a year now. I have a question for you about how you store your stamps, I just love the pull out drawers in your Kallax! What did your husband use for those? I found the Dragan link on your blog, but would love to know what he used for the fronts. I showed it to my husband and he was wondering what was used for the base. Wasn't sure if you could take a picture. Thanks for the help and I love your room!!!!
He used 1x14 ripped down and 1x2 for the side rail.... you know what... Email me at korenwiskman@gmail.com and I'll send you some pics and make him respond to it. I just tell him what I want to happen, and he makes it happen, lol. Your home sounds wonderful.
Thanks so much, I love this house! I just sent an email to you but it will be from my iCloud account which is my main email. I am basically the same, I tell my husband what I want and he figures it out and presto it appears. Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it. I can give him this information to start with. He is currently working on getting the hot tub put back together since it's sill in pieces from the move in March so once that project is done then I can get him to work on the drawers for me :)
Oh we have had our fair share of hot tub reassembly lol. Man, what I wouldn't give to have out hot tub back right now. I got your email Susan. I will work on a reply in the morning, after my coffee : )
Very nice and organized room! I can only dream. I am all about the chaos lol
Oh I can't even call it organized, it's Faux-ganized lol. The drawers need attention but part of the fun of this hobby is organizing the supplies.
What brands of cardstock do you use? What are your favorite stamping colored inks to use? I have mostly CTMH and SU since the papers and inks match but I'm looking into selling them and investing in another brand for dye inks.
I liked the idea of having matching inks to cardstock, and still do for the most part. It is no longer a driving factor to which ink and cardstock I invest in. I have Papertrey Ink, Stampin' Up!, and Lawn Fawn Cardstock mostly. But if I see a color that I like, I buy it. I'm no longer worried about having a set of any one particular brand of inks, except for Distress Oxide. They are my favorite. I tend to lean towards pigment inks more so than dye inks, but I like both for different reasons. Hero Arts also has great inks, you can't go wrong with them. I hope that answers your question. I feel like I need a nap, lol. This might be effecting my answers lol. Thank you so much for watching Pam : )
Just a suggestion for the really annoying pins: pull it out, pop a piece of tissue over the hole, push the pin back in taking the tissue with it. Trim the excess with a craft knife. This should make them tight enough to stay put but you can still pull them out with a pliers if you want to move them! Hope that helps, loving your room and I’m only slightly jealous 😍-beautiful space, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the awesome tip. I have since used hot glue to keep them in. It seems to be working for now. Thank you for watching.
Great room. I hear u with all the correct words. My hubby is a carpenter and his name is Tim Allen
NO WAY! Are you serious? Does he enjoy Tim Allen comedy? I sure do, lol. I'm always grunting when I soup something up. "more power", lol.
Koren Wiskman not kidding I knew u would get a kick out of knowing it. Yes he loves his shows. He used to have several of he's t-shirts. Yes more power
Looking good! I especially love your photography corner - that’s something I’m definitely missing in my current room. Especially with the lack of sunshine in Finland ;-)
I’d love your marker storage, but I don’t think shipping it to Europe would be cheap... :-(
Maybe the European winner could split the cost with me.... I need to come up with a way to pick a winner. My husband was even researching ways to make everyone their own marker holder. We had no idea people would want it. So, I'll keep you posted.
Koren Wiskman thanks :-)
Marker storage giveaway video is going live at MIDNIGHT! It is open internationally : )
Did I miss what the name of container you have your markers and drawers for mini stamppads?? Love them
They are made by a company called Stamp N Storage. I love them. They are not cheap, but I love how they function. I will provide you with my affiliate link but you can just search Stamp N Storage also. www.stampnstorage.com/#a_aid=korenwiskman They have some really cool stuff. Thank you so much for watching Wendy.
Yes! I do need marker storage badly! Lol. Giveaway would be great!
Could you tell me where you got the marker and paper storage that you are using now?
I will be giving the old marker storage away in a giveaway. I didn't expect too many people would want it. I'm surprised at the response. The units I use now are from Stamp and Storage. This link is my personal affiliate link. If you click on it, it will take you to the Stamp and Storage website, if you do end up making a purchase, I will get a small percentage from the sale. At no additional cost to you. www.stampnstorage.com/#a_aid=korenwiskman I really enjoy their products. Shipping takes a bit of time but they usually ship free and occasionally they do have sales. I typically know about their sales ahead of time because I signed up for their affiliate programs. They have a few different kinds of markers storage. Look through and see if anything tickles your fancy.

Hey great room can I ask what you store your sponge daubers in? Xx
Those sponge daubers came in that container. They are from scrapbook.com. I am always amazed at how expensive they are, it's like 50 cents a dauber sometimes more, and I have a hard time finding them cheaper. BUT... I use them all the time. I love the container. Also, Close to My Heart has an interesting option for storing sponge daubers as well.
Thanks for the reply ... xx
Thank you for watching
There is nothing better than having a handy husband. That is the majority of the reason why I married my husband, lol (just kidding).. He can build anything and has great ideas. Great room and I'm loving the magnetic wall. I think that needs to be my next project. I'm tired of digging for stuff I use often. #teamcanon
LOL, I am loving the #team canon and #teamnikon. I actually started with Nikon but needed an upgrade and the 70D does just about everything I want it to. I'm still thinking about getting a full frame Nikon for photography, but I have a few other things on my list before that. My husband is so busy getting things built for other people that he doesn't have a lot of time to do things around here, but I am glad that when I say "here, I drew some pull out shelves, please build them with your tools, lol" he does it.
U two are precious!!
I'm blushing. Thank you for watching.
Koren Wiskman I’m the slob and my hubby is the neat freak. Funny how we are all different!
I wasn't always like that. You can ask my Mother, she use to come to my apartment and clean, lol. I think Motherhood changed me. I wouldn't change it, I love him even though he is messy.
Koren Wiskman 🙌🏻🙌🏻😘😘👍🏻👍🏻
after watching 6 videos i hit the subbie bar i am enjoying your channel
That's wonderful news! I'm so glad you enjoy my videos. Thank you for subscribing.
What is the name and where are the metal table top "risers" from? The ones that elevate your Ikea tabletop? That is such a great idea!!! Lucky girl that you have such a handy husband!!! If my husband has a screw driver in his hand, I throw on a hard hat and run the opposite direction immediately!!! I am forced to do everything myself. Probably why my room is not finished after 6 years. But I still have faith...LOL. Anyhow, I just love your room!!!!
My Father was a construction foreman, my Mom had to learn to do everything herself because my Dad worked so hard, he didn’t want to fix things when he came home. Now, my Mother’s home is beautiful, she is self taught and she does amazing work. Lol I can not remember the name of those risers to save my life right now. We are looking it up. Try capaita on the IKEA website. 👍🏼
Thank you!!! I found them. They are called Capita. Here is the link: www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30263575/?query=CAPITA
Love your room. wrap some tape or washi on the end of your pins and shove them in the hole w. It will help keep them in place.
Thank you so much for watching. I think i'm going to use my hot glue gun, but wrapping paper would totally work too. I think I have a roll of wrapping paper in there that no tape would ever stick to (do you ever find wrapping paper like that?) So, I could use that. The only reason I haven't thrown it away is because I'm determined to find tape to use it with. It's the most ridiculous wrapping paper ever.
I just reread your comment! LMAO. I totally thought you wrote wrapping paper. I need to go to bed, lol. You said washi. Geez oh whiz : )
Lol, I was going to say tape too!
Ps- I really like how you use your S&S units !! I have all the same ones and have been at a loss on what to do with the stackable file folders.
I think we all stArted with Creative Memory! I have a ton of stuff from them. You have a great room.
Creative Memories sure isn't as good as it use to me. I use to love their stuff, now, not so much. They started making scrapbooking easy, but maybe a little too easy for my taste. Thank you for watching.
You two are so cute together..........thanks for sharing. God Bless
You are sweet, thank you so much for watching and commenting.
HAHA! My PJs are my uniform as well! I'm a commercial photographer with a studio in my home - the stuff I photograph doesn't care, so neither do I. And of course I craft in my jammies too. Hubby is a doctor so he is basically in PJs too - we love comfort! I used foam core board in the back of my ink pad organizers for Distress inks since the pads are shorter. It's a great filler :-) Have you tried using Blu-tack or other light weight wall hanging putty in the holes for your shelf pins? It may help keep them in place without really being permanent. I use it for a lot of stuff, like holding pans in place in my watercolor palettes (the prongs hold but I often add extra pans, I also use it in tins/min-palettes). I like the sandwich bags idea for the 6x6 pads - I currently have mine in a plastic bin, each upside down with the scraps inside. Your storage is awesome! I'm going to have to get some of those magnet mounting things for the sides of my cabinets - great idea! I really enjoyed the tour - thanks for sharing!
Mary, I am a Dental Assistant (thats my real job) lol. So I wear PJs a whole lot. I like to "get dressed" for things. I make it an event, since I so rarely do it. Thanks for the tips.
BTW... I used hot glue for those shelves : )
Good solution!
It worked well, and then I rearranged them, lol
Was loving your room tour and you mentioned the pen holder on the top shelf. You mentioned you were going to throw it out. If someone has not claimed it yet, or someone changes there mind...I would love it! By the way, how many pens does it hold? Thank you for your time.
Pamela, thank you so much for watching. I am planning a giveaway for the old marker storage. I will let you know all of the details as soon as I figure them out.
Marker storage giveaway video is going live at MIDNIGHT!
You could stick some blu tac into the holes for the pins, then it’s not permanent?
That is an excellent solution for that pin problem. Thank you so much for suggesting it. Also, thank you so much for watching.
The magnetic wall is going to be the next project for my husband in my craft room.
I am in love with your room!!
Thank you so much. I love it, and every day I do a little more to make it better. Thank you for watching.
Hi! Love your room!!! I am getting ready to create a craft room and am ready to hit IKEA in a major way!
I have a few questions… I am considering getting one of the desks at IKEA that raises and lowers -for the middle of my craft room - one that you can sit or stand. Did you consider one of those? Do you know of any downfalls to having one? I am thinking I can get one of those and still put a Target four bin shelf under it like you have, and possibly even put the second desktop layer like you have, with the legs separate the two layers. I found where you put a link to the legs. Thank you! Do they attach onto one of the surfaces in any way or can you tell me if the top is heavy enough to just sit on it without securing it on?
Also, where did you say you got your marker your storage? Also love your cart! There are so many of them out there and I love the size of yours. Do you remember where you got yours? Thank you for all of your help and inspiration! Oh, do you know how the sheet metal is attached to your wall?
Ok, lets see... My husband use to work for Herman Miller. They are a high end office furniture company based out of Michigan. With that being said, they pride themselves on the electric sit or stand desks. He had offered that to me at the time and I did not want it. I am a firm believer that the more electronic gadgets you have, the more you have to repair or maintain. I have seen the sit and stand desks that Ikea sells and I have the same opinion of them. I don't need my desk to move up and down. I do however love the functionality of it, but for me, I want my surfaces to stay put.
The top of my surface is not heavy, it is very cheap and hollow. The legs attach to one surface with screws and my husband attached the other side with silicone based adhesive. I wanted it to be secure and not move around when I was ink blending.
The marker storage is Stamp and Storage. www.stampnstorage.com/#a_aid=korenwiskman This is my affiliate link to their site. I have both the vertical marker storage and the marker nook. Copics are in the vertical. They also have horizontal storage if you would like your markers to lay side by side instead.
The sheet metal is screwed to the frame and the frame is screwed to the wall with large drywall anchors. It is one piece that can come down if I want it to and with some minor patching to the wall, it can disappear completely.
I hope that answered your questions. If not, just keep asking. I don't mind at all. Thank you for your sweet compliments and for watching and commenting.
Koren Wiskman Thank you so much for all of the information. It is very helpful! Yes, after I ask you about that I decided to look at the reviews online for the desk that I Kia has that moves up and down and apparently it gets very poor reviews because the mechanics in it do break down in a very short time. Even though it is covered with a warrantee that is too much of a hassle to try and replace it so I have decided against that. Again, I love your room and all you have done with it! Thank you and have a great Monday!
You are probably making the right choice. Maybe find an adjustable seat instead. You can always make a chair sit higher like a stool and stand when you want to.
Or look for an adjustable table that is mechanical, but not mechanized... a manually adjusted sit to stand. Those were 99% of what we sent to overseas sites (at least in my market) due to maintenance...
