Excellent info! You speak from your experience, not like you just read a brochure! Lots of great ideas to put into use! Thanks Paul!

In the past when I was younger Fishing from the bank at times it would really suck carrying by hand everything now they got backpacks and things like that now which makes it so much easier for everyone. Good video guys.

Thanks for the info. As a bank fisherman I am looking for a bag to meet my needs. This was helpful on some of the options out there.

I have yet to find anything even close to my dream fishing backpack.
At New Melones, getting to and from bass-bearing water is a challenging hike. None of those address the problem of keeping your water cool in full sun on 90-degree days, or getting your catch back to the car before it spoils.
My ideal backpack is 50% longer. The top 2/3 is like a standard fishing backpack with room for jacket, water, and two Plano boxes, with pockets up and down the sides. Velcro, not zipper. The bottom third is insulated for lunch and catch.
The top and bottom thirds are 18” to 22” wide. The middle third, 16” so I can swing my elbows. Some pockets on the front straps would be great.
I found one company that makes custom backpacks, with only a fraction of my specs. For what they charge, I could buy myself a canoe with a trolling motor.

I'd shove a soft sided cooler in a backpack man, that oughta do it

Great Video my Friend and as a DAV I’ve found having the dual strap backpack type helps so much to distribute weight when walking and being a Bank Guy of course you are going to pack your Bag Full plus 10 more items lol and still want to use the Lure you didn’t bring. Stay safe my Friend Semper Fidelis

Wow, thanks for the great walk-thru of those bags, particularly the Ego backpack. Can't believe how much stuff that holds (looks like it's making it's way into my Cart on TW!). As far as carrying rods, have you ever looked into the Rod-Runner? I have the smaller one (three rods) and it's a fantastic way to carry them to your spot and keep them off the ground (and avoid stepping on them). They have a 5-rod version as well. A little pricey but I've been very happy with mine.

I purchased the lews Mach backpack last year, largely due to jeff’s review. It was very good but I felt like I needed slightly more storage {this one holds (8) 3700 boxes} so I ended up getting the Cabelas magnum tackle bag. So now I have a giant backpack for my pond fishing. I keep like one 3700 box in it. 😂 One warning: the bigger the bag you have, the more you will fill it and the heavier it will be 😉
