I really don't get America's thing against scrunchies. Like, I wear one every day. They're cute and are gentler than regular hair ties

You are missing the point of the scrunchi. To not damage your hair. But before using it every time you use a hair tie that does rip and pull at your hair. It's not really about bringing it back, for curly girls it's never gone out of style as it helps protect.

No that IS the point of them. So less breakage. To do the way the video uses them, its like turning the scrunchy into just a regular add in, and not actually helpful

I bought two scrunchies a year ago and have been using them to make a lazy hairstyle a bit more polished when I’m late for a party or work. High ponytail, with a scrunchie. Topknot, with a scrunchie. Simple braid, with a scrunchie.
Loved the 80s curls! Looks gorgeous on you! 80s was my favorite style for you. I’ve always loved scrunchies, especially as a 90s kid.

I have always worn scrunchies because my hair is so thick. Regular hair ties are too small and I feel like they tug on my hair a lot more. I wear them proud!

Haha! I mean I did ballet for 10+ years, but I'm pretty rusty now! The outfit made me feel like a movie musical star / Disney princess so I had an embarrassing amount of footage of me dancing 🙈🙈😂

I remember when I was in 4th grade I had my sister put my hair in a bun one day and I loved it but the kids in my class made fun of me because of the hair stick securing it. They called me Wilma Flintstone for using sticks in my hair. I went home in tears over it. People can be jerks.

Hahaha I'm 36 and I went through a short period in the early 2000s where I thought they were lame but kept them and realized how much better for my hair they were by about 2005. I only took a short break from them lol!
Angela Jung yeah i agree with you there, i use one for sleeping as i have to have my hair up in a pony tail out of the way and it stops breakage and stops pulling on the roots!

The control creme gel has silicone in it so it probably won’t be good for people with naturally curly hair. Too bad, it’s pretty cheap.
as someone with super curly and thick hair i personally love scrunchies. they don’t pull on my hair and cause it to break as much as regular hair ties do. i also straighten my hair sometimes so scrunchies are super helpful bc they don’t leave that weird bump thing in my hair. i have always loved them and i think that they are making such a fashion comeback.

When scrunchies first came out, I wasn't in to them, but lately ive been kinda diggng them and especially now after watching ur vid. I think imma gonna need to buy me some!
How do you do it? Your hair became way thicker in like four years, and it is visible even on the braids, they are thicker even before you pull them apart! I have fine hair, similar to the kind you had like four years ago so please, pretty please, share your secrets. ♥

Kateřina Černá she has a video where she talked about how she gets her hair cut and what to ask for. It’s layered differently than most long haircuts so the ends aren’t as tiny when she does braids.

I thought it will be a video about how does a scrunchie work compared to a simple elastic or hair tie. (You know, it doesn't hurt your hair, or it's more comfortable, etc.) :/ But in this way I think it's not an "I tried ..." video, it's just a "Hairstyles with scrunchies" video, because you used normal hair tie. And the wig is also a "problem", because you can't feel, how this thing feels in your hair, you don't feel the tension if there is any, or other similar things (and you used a normal hair tie as well, so it's "double cheating"). I don't dislike a video, or something, I just say that the title is very deceptive. :/

EVERYONE WITH THICK HAIR:
i have extremely thick hair (mine is straight but this is also true for curly hair, im not sure about natural hair i dont wanna spread false info) but lately, i have found two scrunchies that actually work on thick hair! A great brand that has some really cute ones is called "papa pique et maman coud" its a french brand but you can find it online or in some small shops.
And now days everyone has scrunchies and is a VSCO girl.

Terrible. Women wonder why their hair looks dead, thin and fried, it's because of these styling techniques. Women do so many things to fake their appearance, as a man I lose respect for them doing these things. Most attractive women don't need to alter their appearance with makeup, hair pieces, dying or unnaturally changing the pattern of their hair with irons to straighten or curl it. Irons just burn your hair, pointless. I am a long haired male and never used these things and my hair looks healthier as a result compared to many women I see.

I was a college student when this was in. Honestly, I think it went out of fashion because they got smelly after a while. If your hair was humid and just wore it or even put some product in your hair, it would get really gross.
